^^^^Yep, I discovered it this morning. Wow, this is the fastest I've ever seen them react to an OS Update. Less than 24 hrs. Excellent support.

OP updated with link, though you should be able to get it via the auto updater as usual.

I'm trying to embark on the path to add an aux power supply to my 2010 MP for a higher-end GPU. Unfortunately I'm having trouble tracking down a quality aux power supply for the 5.25 bay.

Any suggestions appreciated..

Edit: I'm also wondering if anyone's used non-reference 780ti's in their Mac Pros. I'd prefer the blower-style cooler to exhaust heat directly outside, but there are some good prices on the open air cooler models currently. Obviously I don't want my MP fans going nuts though.

Me too, the FSP and Vision ones seems to not be available anymore :(

You're confusing Adobe support with other things. If you Are certain the 10.7.5 has 560 drivers? I don't recall when 560 got support.

I have a asus 560Ti and it works/worked well in the 10.7.5. Have now run it for a year or two. Finally managed to set up the 10.9.3 on my MP1.1->2.1 and it seems to run nice and dandy there...well...after some initial issues that I had..

Just a heads up.

And Btw, thx MacVid for all the effort you have put into the mac scene! Appreciated!

Screen not resizing for Cinema display on 680 4GB on last Nvidia update

The last two times that I installed the web driver on my 4MB Nvidia 680, the Cinema display won't show the full resolution. I can select Cinema display and 2506x1440, but the actual resolution is something much worse. It looks like 800x600 or something. If I just select a generic LCD display, it shows 2048x1536 as it's maximum and I have black bars on either side.

Any ideas before I go back to the native OSX drivers?

UPDATE: OK, that's weird. I clicked on "Arrangement", and there is a tiny little screen to the upper left next to the Cinema display. I only have the Cinema display connected. I unchecked "mirror displays" and now I have the Cinema display at full resolution. Where is this tiny screen allocated and how can I get rid of it? Why does it think I have a tiny secondary screen connected?

I'm on OSX Mavericks 10.9.4, Mac Pro 6-core 3.46 (Mid-2010), 12GB 1333 DDR3

This is the bug in the drivers.

Didn't exist before 10.9.3. Nvidia is aware of it, let's hope they fix soon. It's worse for GT640, it gets 2 of the ghost screens.

Anybody know if using the newest web drivers impacts CUDA for better or worse? I seem to remember someone remarking that using both in tandem resulted in better CUDA performance.

So far I've only used Apple's stock drivers and the latest CUDA and not had any issues.

2GB, I think physically the same as the official card and flashed as such.

So as much as I hate to reply to myself, this thing reversed itself today. I had to reboot in/out of BootCamp and when I did, I could only get a black screen. The only way I was able to get video working was to switch DVI ports again, back to the port I was using for months/years.

I'm still on 10.9.3 (13D65) and I haven't applied the 10.9.4 update, nor have I made any driver changes in weeks.

Hrm... I waited a few days and updated to 10.9.4 plus the new web driver, then I was prompted to updated CUDA. I did all of this, but now after a reboot I get two errors; One is with the CUDA driver that says I need to update it, despite already doing so. Secondly during boot-up it says "Your system was shut down due to an error..." Any thoughts how to clear both these up?

One is with the CUDA driver that says I need to update it

Same issue with the CUDA update message running the NVIDIA driver and 10.9.4 on a 2008 3,1 with 660Ti. CUDA seems fine with the stock video drivers. Have not encountered the system reboot message/error. Anyone running a Mac edition 680 having this issue?

Same as above, but running a GTX 660Ti / 10.9.4, got the message but CUDA still runs, seems like it's maybe 8-10% faster than stock Apple drivers?

Installed the web drivers after putting in the new CUDA, wonder if that's why the prefpane is bitching.

GeForce 560Ti 1gb on MacPro 1.1

Hi guys, Im new on forums but long read your posts.
I hawe problem and can’t find solution…

My question is how run Zotac GeForce 560Ti 1gb on MacPro 1.1 (not firmware yet on 2.1) and OS 10.9.3 (with Tiamo) ??

Last sunday Im trying all day to do but nothing, Im puting some kext find on net (for Lion) only kernel panics after 15 sec. start loading boot screen with apple logo.
With Pacifist Im install latest Nvidia drivers an Im success load Mavericks but not recognize 560ti (in slot 1 was old 7300 for boot screen) After I close down and put back PC Radeon HD 6670 (work fine from 10.6.x) only black screen…Now don’t work card who works…. :(

Yesterday i Load backup and start again. Now Im find Modded_WebDriver-334.01.01f01 and Install Ok. Now I hawe in system manager Nvidia Driver Manager Preferences. When install drivers I hope that everything with 560Ti be OK but nothing only black screen, and when put 7300 can see boot screen again kernel panics, sorry first time was freeze after 20 sec after apple logo.
I try put off 2 x 6 pin power cable and load… OK but can’t see 560Ti in slot2.

I suspicion on extra 6 pin power (6 pin cable are OK)…. or something in kext for graphic card power….

Thank you for all the help!!

I installed the Graphic driver first, then updated CUDA... The system performs fine, I just get the error message on startup that I'm not happy with...

I'm still getting weird behavior... When I switch from Windows to Mac via bootcamp, the startup hiccuped and took a while, then gave me the error again. I *think* this did not happen with Apple's stock drivers; I don;t remember, how do you revert to a previous version?

If you do a PRAM reset you will get sent to Apple driver. Or just choose from control panel

Thanks MVC, but I meant revert to a lower patch level, e.g. back to 10.9.3/previous NVidia driver. I remember hazily that you can boot from the "recovery" volume via the system pref, but that's about where it gets fuzzier.

MSI Twin Frozr GEFORCE GTX 660 OC Edition Works out of the bo

Everyone has been very helpful. Thank you all.

I thought I would let everyone know that MSI Twin Frozr GEFORCE GTX 660 OC Edition works in Slot 1 with 1 6-pin power plugged on a Mac Pro 3,1 with Mac OS X 10.9.4. Works fine with either native drivers or NVIDIA web drivers. Latest CUDA drivers installed.

The PowerColor Radeon HD7850 with the Kext edits did not.

New CUDA available?

I get the message in the CUDA control panel that there's a new version available, v.6.0.54, but every time I try to install it, it says "CUDA update failed." Download goes to 40% and the install goes to 20%, maybe I'd better wait for the direct download?
