Full moon fever!!/Lunar "X"/General moon shots

My attempt at shooting the full moon last night. I had a 500mm lens to play with, but alas my focus was foiled by my cheap tripod. Still, I'm pretty happy with the result.
This mornings rising crescent moon + earth shine.
Canon T1i, 560mm via 70-200 L + TC's, ISO 200, 2 sec, Tripod - non tracking

Last nights full moon, cloudy at 7:30pm - missed the penumbra lunar eclipse, at 10:50pm a break in clouds so took these.
Each is 1min 40 sec apart on fixed tripod, T1i + 70-200mm @ 560mm via TC's stacked.

Just came back from 2 weeks in Japan, missed the full moon, this taken 6-14-2014 4:40am with my new 70D

These are 9 images taken 2 minutes apart this morning 4:45am EDT, then simply "stacked" on top of each other.
I used my new 70D with the following exposure settings:
Lens: Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM + 1.4x TC, so 280mm effective length
ISO 100, f8, 1/250 speed, tripod.
In Post Processing:
I use Apple Aperture, sharpening/detail set to 0.6, definition 0.3, curves to set the greyscale point, edge sharpen 0.2.
Barely cropped the image on LH side to balance the RH side, that's it.
Pretty much my standard moon PP, I have that saved for quick apply.

Blood red moon & composite images via SE Michigan Oct-8-2014
The whole family enjoyed watching the full moon transition into the blood red moon.
Below the multi-moon shots are composites of 2 minute exposures, so you can see moon movement in the sky and the eclipse increasing.
Blood red moon just before it set behind the tree line.
I needed my tracking scope to capture this crisply, as this is a 1/8th second exposure and moon motion blurs the image slightly.

The moon looked funny early this morning.
I suspect that the gods were angry with us, but now they seem to be pacified again.

Crescent moon (with earth shine), Venus on the right and Mars lower left (Red dot) Sept-10 morning 5:53am rising above the treeline.
After I took this realized lens aperture not fully open so Venus has that diffraction look going on .....
Took this with my Canon 70D and 70-200L mkII lens at 70mm.

Honestly it's an "oops" moment, I always shoot wide open with my lens, I can't remember ever seeing these diffraction spikes from the aperture pedals of the lens.

This is my 1st composite of the night, taken on fixed tripod, these are 2 minutes apart, 10:44pm - 11:06pm.
Canon 70D, 70-200mm L @ f2.8, ISO 3200, 1/15 sec each.
The faint "dots" are stars that showed up in the capture.

Image is taken as leaving totality, so you can see the transition.

I viewed the September 28 eclipse through moderately thick clouds. I was still able to capture the eclipse at totality, but the reddish color was only visible to the camera. The eclipse started out with clearing skies, but the clouds really rolled in during and after the totality, and completely obscured the finish. The best showing for me is still the lunar eclipse of February 2008.

I used to ride the MTB trails there in the middle-late 1990's, hung out with the "Mountain Bike Heaven" crew then.
Here's (2) from a film pano camera late 1996 , members of the Sedona-5 included
That's me on the left with Dangerous Dave in the middle.
Hanging with these guys a few weekends taught me to "Play" again in my mid 30's.
