So I take back what I said, I do notice battery issues. I used to get through a day with 60% left easily. Now I'm at 20ish%. Occasionally it gets hot and will run down very quickly, like in a couple of hours.

Mine started doing that too last week. I checked some sites and someone mentioned tesla undread, so I uninstalled it and it hasn't happened yet. Its only been a couple of days though.

Got my Lollipop update. Everything is stock. Will run this way for week. Gonna get a good idea of battery usage. Then I'll run Nova again. So far, everything is running just fine.

Got one in white, I work fast. :)

Videos and browsing are much more immersive on a larger display. Of course a larger device isn't as easy to handle but the trade off especially at a good price is well worth it. I considered the S6 but I probably would have sent it packaging much more sooner than later. I see the Note 4 keeping me amused for quite awhile now that I don't have my 6 Plus any longer.

For at least (or at max) 6 weeks :p ;)

Battery life still seems fine in standby mode. When I woke up and checked, it actually showed 99%. I did a very brief session of browsing (under a minute) and it dropped to 98%. I usually got a 2% drop over night on Kitkat. So all good there.

I try to project somewhat for the future what may interest me. Of the smartphones upcoming from a few months ago that would have been the S6 and M9 for flagships.

The M9 lost steam quick, the S6 is intriguing in comparison of smartphones in its size range but I seem to have been going larger.

I got the Nexus 6, had the LG G3, had the ip6 Plus, so the tend just steered me to the Note 4 which I once owned but returned in favor of the ip6 Plus. The latter lasted more than 6 weeks though, so did the LG G3. The ip 6 and Samsung 5 didn't last that long. :)

I'm a little bummed you cannot play Rayman Jungle Run on some of the larger smartphones though to see how it runs, on some I guess it is because of the Quad HD display and compatibility,

Actually I find Rayman Jungle Run and Fiesta terrible on android. After all the IPad retinas play them fine so it's not a resolution thing but yeah on every android device and tablet I find the game has terrible slow down making it near unplayable.

I've never played them on my iOS devices, so I can't compare. I've played jungle run on the S5 and tab pro 10.1. They seemed to play OK. I've just downloaded jungle run from the amazon app store as the google play version isn't compatible with my note 4.

iOS version is butter smooth no matter which device. Just clearly optimised more for it. Shame as it my favourite mobile game/s

Hey guys, anyone tried to downgrade to KitKat via Odin? Can you dirty flash this way, or do you lose all your data?

Also anyone have a link to the official KitKat ROM for ATT? Do I have to worry about the phone automatically updating me to lollipop? I'm getting these severe power drains while the phone gets very hot, and it keeps turning on in my pocket and dialing people and having screen interaction. I think it's time to go back to KK.

This is how exactly how I downgraded.

I went into recovery.

Wiped partition cache,

then did factory wipe and instead of restarting (thus start installation of lollipop)

i pulled the battery instead of restarting device. Then putting battery in - i booted straight into download mode.

Then in download mode connected to Odin 3.0.9 and flashed the kitkat rom for my device.

I did it to avoid any incompatibilities (since lollipop is ART and kitkat default dalvik).

Worked for me with any trouble whatsoever.

Sammobile is the place to go for flashing stock firmware. I just flashed Lollipop. I'm loving it so far. Battery has been great. 1%-2% drain overnight in standby is what I was getting on Kitkat. Screen on time so far looks good to me with 14hrs of run time. I'm OK with this.

Thanks, now just to find the ROM. Sammobile for some reason doesn't have it.

I'm seeing all the other variants on sammobile, but I'm not seeing anything for ATT.

Wow just read that Verizon N4 got root, and ATT is next up. I believe it's only on 4.4.4, but I haven't read that far into it yet.

Edit: Seems root was promised for this weekend but so far the dev hasn't released anything yet. May just be a false alarm.

I have a love/hate relationship with touchwiz. I love some of the extra features, but hate the performance and design. Well, the newest touchwiz I don't hate so much anymore as they improved both aspects, so now its just OK.

I hope it turns out to be true!
