By all accounts from the press. The pre orders alone have already surpassed the S5 sales. So the S6 is a huge hit as is without removeable battery and SD card.
The media will say all this and point to this is cause, which is incorrect. We dont have any basis to say that absence of SD card and removable batter was the cause of it being a hit.

The S6 coudl just as equally been a sales hit with those features included. The S4 was a sales hit with them. And the S4 sold what: 3 or 4x as much as the S5 did?

I understand the lame-brain media is incapable of constructing basic logic and understanding causality, but it does not mean the entire world has to follow them down this path.

The S6 is a sales hit yes. But when you look at the improvements in styling and camera and battery life, one can very much see that it makes no sense to claim that sealing the device was the cause. it very well may have been a non factor. It could even in fact have been that upping the internal memory to 64/128 GB and improving the battery life created a product roughly equal to what anyone who wanted a open-back device would have wanted.

You can spin it anyway you want. BUT if the SD card and removable battery was a requirement for smartphone shoppers then......they would not buy the Galaxy S6. The best selling phone in the world does not have an SD card or removable battery. I think consumers have spoken with the wallets.

The beautiful things about an open platform like Android is....if one OEM doesn't fill the consumer need, You can be sure another one will. Look at LG and the LG G4. It is rumored to have a SD card and big removeable battery.
If those two features are a big consumer need. Then the G4 will be a huge hit just on those features alone. I see the G4 selling well but not near what the S6 will sell.

This is true. People just look at which phone 'looks good' and is 'easy to use' more than anything.

A while ago I saw on TV someone being interviewed waiting for the 5S launch, and when asked what is different about it compared to the older iphone 5, he said he wanted one simply because its newer and to impress his friends :D

I'm not knocking Apple, just telling it like it is, and heck, I'm one of these types of users myself (except I'm using a Note 4 at the moment :) )

I think what I said went above your head. Confirmed when you are talking about "spin". Never mind. Follow whatever the "reviewers" have told you - they know their public very well.

Thanks osamede so nice to converse with you! What a nice guy! /s

Of course where I get my info is not as good as your information sources and where you draw your conclusions from you are the best! /s

I just started using my Note 4 again since picking up the S6, and one thing keeps bugging me, everything looks huge now.

Does anyone know if google is going to start giving tools to developers to optimize apps for this sized phone? Even the Google Now launcher looks ridiculous on this screen, but on the Nexus 6 it looks better as it uses a 5x5 grid on that phone.

My note 4 is really starting to get me angry when in messages it is suddenly very laggy. Takes a good 5 secs to bring up the keyboard and when i try and type it takes a good 3 or 4 secs till it starts typing the words.

Hopefully this stops with the 5.0 update..still not got it.

Is yours a carrier handset? The BTU (factory unlocked unbranded) note 4 firmware is out.

Use Phone Info for Samsung app on playstore to find out your CSC.

Yeah it's on three
Why don't you simply flash the official unbranded uk BTU firmware in Odin 3.10.6

http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/46304/N910FXXU1BOC5_N910FBTU1BOB2_BTU/

You will not trip Knox, you will not lose data/apps on the device if you simply just flash directly over.

Should you ever want to go back to three firmware you can simply flash it back on. Official firmwares are thankfully safe.

That being said, the latest firmware for Note 4 is Ireland (Three) firmware, so maybe UK (Three) may be available soonish?

That's the perpetual question with android updates. All the carrier firmwares are using the BOC3 firmware - so you could safely use the BTU firmware. It won't affect your warranty.
Will have a look. .cheers mate

Yay. :) I suspected it shouldn't have been too long as the 3 Ireland one was the previous latest release so invariably the 3 UK one should follow straight after.

Hopefully the lag in messages disappears now. That's the only place where it's started to lag,

Also I've noticed battery life has been bad lately. .barely getting 4 hours screen time and less than 16 hours total
