Samsung don't support ambient display.
Guess it saves on battery life...meanwhile tapatalk is working now

My question is if they don't light up on notifications then why add the do not disturb feature?

Do not disturb feature assumes you don't want to be disturbed. It turns off all notifications. Lighting up the screen would technically be a notification even if its not an audible one.

Ambient display and do not disturb are not mutually inclusive.

As for Tapatalk = it was being a PITA for me yesterday evening and wouldn't sign me into servers. I think they must be doing something their end.

I do like the feature ..as currently at times I'm losing between 10 and 20% overnight. .smf maybe that's to do with so many notifications at night

Tapatalk is ok now luckily

They fubared do not disturb, what a shame. You used to be able to selectively let contacts disturb you. Why taking away function is a good thing I'll never understand.

AFAIK the Note 4 has the capability for high resolution music, I don't recall the specific resolution off the top of my head.

To get that highest resolution, is there a setting that needs to be made for the sound? Would I be able to take advantage of trying the Tidal music service that has high resolution music coupling it with the Note 4. Or perhaps you might be able to get the highest resolution the Note 4 offers only utilizing its music app?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Maybe I'm missing something but a speaker the size of a pea isn't going to play "high resolution" anything. The DAC in the phone won't do much either, I'm not sure that a headphone preamp would make up for that reality.

When you press the Home button, and that image pops up... click on ' Always ' to set Nova as your default launcher, and that message shouldn't pop up again until you clear defaults.
That's the weird thing I have done that but still comes up

6 inch would be sick. Although lately I've been pining for a smaller phone, but can't afford to lose the stylus functionality. I'd prefer the S6 edge if it had a stylus.

Anyone else getting random battery issues with lollipop on the Note 4? Some days it gets very hot in my pocket and the battery gets sucked up in no time. It's also turning on a LOT in my pocket and doing random things, starting my music player, making phone calls, etc. I'm 100% sure I'm not touching it in anyway other than it being in my pocket. Other days it sits in my pocket and doesn't give me issues.

Jeez, 746 ppi screen? And it's probably going to have 4 GB of RAM, which means my most-likely-next phone will have the same amount of RAM as my main computer (MacBook Air).
