Its definitely not as nice as the black note 3. I'm hoping the black n4 has a little bit of a rubberized feel like the n3.

Take the fake stitching off the 3's rear panel and I think it's a near ideal design. It feels great in hand and looks nice.

I'm getting more and more tempted to buy a note 4 and compare it to the 6 + whenever I get it. Should I bite the bullet?

Despite my one reservation, I really want a Note 4.

I may just have to pre-order one...

Had a hands on with 6 plus and wow does that feel way too long.
I compared the IP6+ and the N4 at AT&T and BB. I compared them both as if I was going to buy a phablet. The N4 just seems more proportional. It seems as if it was designed to be what it is. But the IP6+ seems out of proportion. It is an elongated IP6. It seems as if it was just stretched to meet a size difference from the IP6 without much thought into why.....or add any extra functionality. I know they added OIS to the camera. But that should be the standard for both IP6s. They just added OIS to differentiate the 2 IP6s. But you don't add a camera to differentiate a 4.7 inch phone from a 5.5 inch phone. There should be options and functionality. But there is none.....

Yeah, the 6+ really feels like something Apple kind of rushed out just to have a bigger screen device, rather than building it from the ground up as a true phablet experience. I tested one again yesterday in a store and one thing that struck me is how the iOS dialer sits right in the middle of the screen - more or less impossible to dial with one hand, which isn't a problem at all on the Note series where the dials are on the bottom half of the screen. I also found it difficult to reach over to the left edge to do a back-swipe one handed. The back button on my Note is way more handy.

I suppose (hope) we'll see it becoming much more "true phablet" with future iOS 8 updates though.

One more thing that annoyed me - reading in landscape mode in iOS made the text separate into two really narrow columns. Could any of you 6+ owners out there check if there is a setting to change that? I couldn't find one.

In terms of build quality and feel though, the device felt much better when I tried it this time. I think the security lock on the first one I tested was so heavy that it made the phone itself feel almost stupidly light and fragile. This time it felt much better in the hand. Gotta say I love the curved glass screen and how it kind of flows into the rounded edges.

I was a big fan of the Lumia 1520 so I am looking forward to the IP6+ as I like em big.

I am not one of those functionality type enthusiasts for my big screens as I had a Note 3 and never used multiwindow or Spen as it didnt do anything for me.

I prefer full screen use as I watch a ton of videos and email is my main reason for my phone use.

It will require a case though which sucks as I like to go naked on my devices.

Prefect! How has your battery life been so far on your IP6+?
I don't like to use cases on my phones either. For my IP6 i got the Zagg glass invisible shield. That is just so it won't scratch on the top and bottom.

I havent gotten it as of yet as its supposed to come today.
I am looking forward to great battery life as I am a bigger phone fan and the Lumia 1520 was easily the best battery life on any device I have ever used.

OPO was great too.

Just tried the note4. I am surprised the metal rim is actually painted over except the chamfer edge which is silver.

I thought the whole rim is silver. I like the black better since the white one is really white like glowing kind white which makes it look less natural.

On gapgate I think it is by design. It seems you can slot a piece a paper into the gap all around the screen if you try hard enough. I tired it but the most the paper can slot in is about a mm or two. I doubt it has any adverse effect like dust getting in. The rim looks like an appendage to the casing instead of part of the casing.

To me it looks better than the elongated ip6+. I also like the feel of the back plastic which to soften the feel of the phone unlike the iPhone which gives you a cold metal industrial feel.

I didn't experience any lag with phone generally.

I am with you. The simplicity of the OS with the enhanced features of the Cyanogen, the hardware, the battery.

I didnt find one thing wrong with that phone at all and hurt to let it go.

If I am not happy with the IP6+ I hope to get an invite and go back as I cant see a better stock Android experience that I have enjoyed more.

I wish they just made the entire rim white or black to match the phone. I'm not really a big fan of the chrome accents and wish it was just an understated same color, or even better yet a brushed aluminum like the older iphones had. I don't get what the fascination with chrome is.

I actually liked the design of the plus but god damn that thing is wayyy too thin. You can see why it could bend when you feel it.

Hey guys. I mentioned this in another thread but something you may consider. Your new Snapdragon US and UK quad core phones will be 32bit. Still 32... Especially with 64bit Andoid L coming out soon. It's the Xynos version that is 64. That's the one you want.

Went to Best Buy to get a Zagg and went to the Samsung world they have set up in these places now to mess with the Note 4.

I think the screen is absolutely beautiful and much more vibrant than the warmer IP6+ I have. I liked the feel in the hand and it was well made.

I am loving the feel of iOS on a bigger device but the Note 4 is a beast of a phone. In an ideal world I would want a Note 4 with a Google Play edition, stock Android type experience or with a blend of what the OPO offered me.

But, I have ATT and it is an ugly mess with TW on my old Note 3 and not going back ever again unless massive changes are made.

Beautiful phone though and you guys will be ecstatic with it.

Makes no difference as there's only 3GB of ram and practically no applications to take advantage of 64-bit. Not to mention the international version doesn't have the necessary LTE bands.

The Exynos is 64bit CAPABLE, it is however locked to 32bit.

And another article:

Secondly, current Exynos 5433 processors appear to be 64-bit capable but locked to run in 32-bit only mode.
