Question for any Note 4 owners. I've played with one at Best Buy a few times, and the home screens have a 4x4 arrangements for the widgets and icons. It seems like there is a lot of wasted space. Is there a way to get more on there without using a launcher like Nova?

I worked for Samsung tech support, tablets and laptops mostly :) I've never saw a case of warranty denied because of Knox; i advised to restore the phone after I setup the device for service but mainly so they backup any important data and not claim nobody told then everything would be erased; if device was able to perform of course.

wow thanks. I have been really hesitant to root any of my Samsung devices out of fear of tripping Knox.

Afraid not.

I just rooted my Note 4 (T-mobile). I also installed Xposed Framework Installer and loaded the Fake Wifi Connection module. Now my TWC TV app thinks it on wifi when I'm not. Also installed AdAway.

So fast. Did you trip KNOX/flash counter? Assume you are keeping the phone then?

Anyone feel the stock rear cover hurts audio playback since the opening is quite small?

Thanks for all the links as I have gone through most of them.

Tick tick, a watched pot never boils and while I never experienced it, this is probably worse than water torture waiting for this beast to be released. :)

Yes, I'm running ART with no issues.

Sadly, TW still wastes so much real estate on the screen.

Any difference than using dalvik though I suppose when android L is released it will be more justified than using it now to note differences.

I honestly can't tell a difference right now but it suppose to load your apps faster which I did notice on my LG G3 when I was using ART. It booted the phone faster after doing a nandroid with a cache and dalvik wipe since it didn't have to optimize every app again.

Hopefully, we will see Xposed compatible with ART soon since he said he'll release it once L becomes official.
They need to make that grid smaller or let it be an option.....
Yes, TW needs to allow you to set grid sizes and set how many apps icons you want on the dock: 4 apps + the app drawer icon is so 2010 or older.

I was hoping to stick with TW like how I stuck with stock launcher on my LG G3 but I have a feeling I'll switching soon or forced to root to be able to use a hacked TW if I plan to stick with TW.

The grids is the main reason why I might use nova again

Me too.

That said I am running a AOSP 4.4.4 based ROM on my Note 2 using the stock Google launcher. Yep, it is 4x4 app grid with no way to change it--as far as I can tell. So can't beat up on Touchwiz for that too much when Google does the same thing.

I haven't swapped the stock launcher for Nova Prime since I like having Google Now as its own launcher page.

Yes widgets exacerbate the grid issue.

That said I have the same problem with Google's default launcher. If Nova adds, assuming they can, the Google Now as a slide to the left feature, I will go back to it. At least we can switch launchers.

Oh yea, on my Note 2 I did run a custom TouchWiz based ROM that did allow you to change the grid on the launcher. It only did this when installing the ROM but you could do it. Think I ran that ROM at 5x6 with a 6 icon dock. So maybe there is a way ti change that grid in TouchWiz--if rooted of course.
