Realised the Alpha has no trace of the insidious crapware & hardware flag/trigger and wondered if Note 4 owners are also spared from the blight known as Knox .....

On my note 3 I always kept 1 page too :) I had it restricted also.

Install Evernote and you can upgrade to premium for 12 months. Don't know what the premium features are since I rarely use Evernote.

Install Amazon Kindle for Samsung in the Samsung store(must be the Samsung edition) and download one book free every month. The selection of books under the Samsung tab is very limited but they change every month, and it's free.

Yes, Dropbox promotion exists. This time they are doing it different. It's 50gb for new account only. They will not add the 50gb to an existing account like they use to. I simply created a new Dropbox account and loaded the stuff from my old Dropbox to my new one. They also make you follow a tutorial, install dropbox on your computer, and add files on your dropbox before you get credited for the 50gb.

Dropbox promo is there if you see a bundled Dropbox app. Just open the app follow instructions. Make sure you don't use a Dropbox account that have received 50gb promo before.

probably markets/shares... need to get possible iphone6 buyers to choose Note4 instead of iphone. iphone is popular in uk too, but not as popular as in usa. im pretty sure first shipments are targeted to these areas..
 
Saw the Note 4 at the Stratford London flagship store today. Available to preorder for delivery tomorrow only from this store.

Can't get past the back cover. The cover makes the black colour unbuyable. The white looks better but there is something still ugly about the Samsung design. Not as sleek as the Sony Z series.

It feels light and feels alot like a big iPhone 5 with a cheap leather/plastic back cover.

I will pass on this and will wait for the bigger Sony Z3x (ultra replacement) in 3-6 months.

Going to buy a £15k watch in the mean time.

XDA must comment on Knox somewhere in that forum regarding Note 4 variants.

White smartphones and tablets distract me while watching videos/movies.

I like the Note 4 version a little better because of no stitching along the sides. But I can see how the texture is not for everyone. Anyway I love the front look of the bronze/gold version but the back is rather garish, so if I do end up getting the N4 I'll definitely need a black back cover replacement. Or just a nice slim case.

Ya the info has to be in there somewhere. I just CBA to wade through those forums because they give me a migraine lol.
 
Freakin AT&T. Shipped my Note 4 yesterday and scheduled delivery date is... Monday.

I'm going to see if I can cancel the order and go with Best Buy.
 
Just rang three and they have nothing on the system that it's bring delayed and if there is no text tomorrow saying it's been delayed I will get it on Friday as expected*

Hope you get it Friday mate, I'm hoping unlocked-mobiles arent affected like clove/cpw, not holding my breath but we'll see..

Yeah I ordered from unlocked-mobiles :p, date has been put back from 3rd to 10th to 17th and now potentially 24th lol.

Where did you order the spare battery kit BTW?

I don't know guys. I am starting to think more and more that I may hang onto the iPhone 6 + for now and see where ios 8 goes with its updates and bug fixes. I still have my Note 3 rooted/custom recovery/ running Tweaked ROM. Maybe eventually sell that and buy a T mobile Note 4 off contract once I can. Or Nexus

I would bet an AT&T root is out within a month of release.

Iphone 6+ jailbreak? I wouldn't bet on anything less than six months.

The International version of the Note 4 seems to have root....
The carrier versions.....might be more difficult.


Samsung Galaxy Note 4 gets rooted by Chainfire ahead of launch of the new phone across the globe. Galaxy Note 4 is not even available just yet (except in certain parts of Asia and from an Australian retailer Yatango) and known Android developer Chainfire has already released a guide how to root this note 4.

Chainfire the developer behind the dedicated moddding tools like SuperSU, has announced on his Google + Page that a number of Galaxy Note 4 versions, based on Samsung's own Exynos chip as well as Qualcomm's Snapdragon 805 processor, are now supported by CF-Auto-Root.

The first Galaxy Note 4 models to be supported by CF-Auto-Root, namely SM-N910C, SM-N910U and SM-N9106W, are meant for Asian markets. The first is the Thailand version (based on Exynos), the second is the Hong Kong version (features the same chip), and while the third version is meant for China (it is powered by a Snapdragon 805).

By following the instructions through xda, you are able to root your new Galaxy Note 4. The others model users will have to wait for Chainfire to get his hands on the files that he needs namely, the stock Galaxy Note 4 recoveries for currently unsupported models and to add new models to the rooting tool.

Some AT&T stores in my area have a demo on display. I'm not sure since when but I can go to a few now and play there instead of BB. Usually my closest one has the Play Store up on their demo devices so even better.

Thanks for the links to reviews. That Detroitborg one was great and now I have more to check out. Pretty much I am just dying for Friday to come. I was hoping for BB to release it early but it doesn't look like that will happen.
