So those who have bought the Note 4 or are thinking of buying it, what about the Nexus 6 for you guys? IMO it's a better phablet.

Yeah, it probably won't have phablet features, but stock Android is all I would want. Maybe future Android updates will bring phablet features like multi-window and more.

Add to that easy root, bootloader unlockable, custom roms, factory images, etc.

I find a Nexus phablet more appealing, but the Note 4 would probably still win in the camera and battery areas quite easily I would say.

To me it's mostly about screen size. If I can get a 5.9 screen in a footprint only minutely if at all actually larger than that of the N4, then that is definitely very attractive to me. Stock Android + easy root is a bonus.

That package would make it worth passing up a better camera, removable battery and S Pen (if the N6 battery holds for a full day at least) for me.

Those of you citing the 5.9" screen size as unacceptably large while still considering the N4 to be OK in size - how can the screen size be to big when the actual device is no larger than the N4? (Slightly wider but also shorter, judging from the mockups.)

EDIT: ok so it looks slightly longer than the Note 4 too, but still clearly shorter than the 6 Plus.

We will have to wait to see how it actually is sizewise, but if rumors pan out to be true, the 5.9 inch screen in the rumored size body would be amazing. I gotta admit. I would for sure go for it provided the price is right.

Agree with you wish Samsung handled this as good as Apple.

Not sure that Apple did it that much better considering the time they had to spend correcting serious flaws in iOS 8 though...

Right, there is the price too. The N6 should at least be a fair bit cheaper than the Note 4 which is another quite nice bonus!

So, you know a device that hasn't been announced will be a better phablet than the Note 4?

Can you share tomorrow night's winning PowerBall numbers?
I meant a Nexus phablet would be more attractive to me than any Note phone

Just the concept alone is more appealing to me, but obviously not at 5.9. That is just ridiculous, but even if the device hasn't yet been announced the idea of a Nexus phablet would always be first for me over the Note line.

I have a question. I'm planning on picking up a Note 4 with the trade-in. I also had my eye on the Nexus 6. I've been with iOS since the 3G. A friend of mine has always been on Android, and he said the Nexus line is kind of a pain in the ass because it's not so integrated. What he meant was the Facebook integration between apps, integration with mail for sending stuff, etc. Is there any truth to that?

Still faster overall on the iPhone 6+. But focus time of the Note 4 is much better than it was on my Note 3 for sure. Big improvement there. I wish I could have videoed it, but BestBuy guys would have really thought I was nuts then. Haha.

I expected this, my experience with the 5s was that it focused faster than the note 3. If you had to put a time on it, how much of a difference was the delay?

None of that makes any sense and is all false. There is no difference in integration. The difference between stock and skin is there are no features from skinned roms on vanilla android. That is not to say you can't have them but you get to choose which ones you want via other roms.

more delays with the note 4

clove.co.uk says it's been delayed another week.

they better not be delaying it on contract too.

Well, probably fractions of a second to a second or two at most depending on conditions. Likely won't matter too much, unless you are trying to take quick shots of moving subjects like little kids.

Some Samsung promotions I found while setting up my Note 4.

Install Evernote and you can upgrade to premium for 12 months. Don't know what the premium features are since I rarely use Evernote.

Install Amazon Kindle for Samsung in the Samsung store(must be the Samsung edition) and download one book free every month. The selection of books under the Samsung tab is very limited but they change every month, and it's free.

Just got my shipping notice! Ordered on 10/10 shipping via USPS for delivery on 10/16.

Quite angry by this

how is it that the UK were due to have the note 4 1 week before the US yet NOW people in the US have theirs already and ours looks set to be put back YET another week? makes zero sense.

It's because we are better then you. I'm sorry. Don't shoot the messenger... :)

Well, official word I have from Best Buy tonight is that if you're holding out for the Note 4 on Verizon on the 17th it ain't happening. BB is now officially the 23rd same as Verizon.

sorry...it doesn't make sense to me either.....

Question to this lucky enough to get their hands on one...

Does the Note 4 come with (queue up some jaws tension music) KNOX ?

Realised the Alpha has no trace of the insidious crapware & hardware flag/trigger and wondered if Note 4 owners are also spared from the blight known as Knox .....
