My fingerprint scanner works great, just I can't set it to use on the lockscreen instead of having to type in my password every time.

Does it at least work still?
Yeah works fine so isn't an issue just one of those things I'm used to

Honestly, I don't get the whole fingerprint unlock thing. If/when I have it on a phone that offers it, I'll likely stick with my simple 4 digit code. Works every time.

On the iPhone it works like a charm, you basically just wake up the phone and unlock at the same time :) sometimes when I press the button just to check notifications it unlocks lol

Yes. Everyone knows the iphone had the superior finger print scanner. That isn't up to debate here. ......

That's really odd! Still getting used to the left button not being the menu button here!

Took me a little while to get used to that.

By the way: If you long-press the recents button it will act as a menu button.

I have a hunch that is why there is a delay in activating recent apps. I have disabled S Voice to get rid of the delay on the home button (small as that was).

I'd report on my fingerprint scan success, but because both AT&T and UPS can't get their head out of their @sses, I still don't have mine. Unreal

Did you preorder? I preordered 9/21 and it went backordered and I still haven't got a shipping notification... all while they have them in stores and people who preordered 5 days ago are getting theirs.

Yep, I did pre-order. Around the same time you did. Wasn't told anything about a backorder though. As of 1pm today (Tues. 10/21), still no delivery. UPS claims (again) that it will be delivered today. We'll see. Hoping to join the ranks here! :D

Thanks, still not sure if I prefer it this way or the old way. Having Google now accessible by long pressing the home button is handy although have an android wear watch so don't use it that way often.

looks like the back button not lighting up was battery related. As it works fine on my other spare.

That's really peculiar Game...don't understand how a battery would affect this and not also the rest of the device. Was it only on the Back button and not the Recents?

Could it be more likely that there's some type of loose wiring/connection that was jostled when you put the new battery in to re-establish the proper connection? Did you swap them repeatedly to confirm it only occurred when that first battery was used?

I have my Note 4 set to listen to "OK Google" always. It apparently is linked to the S Voice thing that allows only a DSP to listen while the phone is asleep. I don't even have S Voice on but when configuring Google Now to listen when off I had to train S Voice to listen for "OK Google." Works great though.

Anyway, I have returned my moto 360 but before I did it the Note 4 would wake up on OK Google even if it was in my pocket--and usually act on what I told the moto 360.

Couldn't resist taking a pic of this ..... :D

Is there any of the familiar touchwiz stutter in this phone? Any hang ups etc.? I heard someone say the recent apps button lags, I did indeed notice that in the small time I had with a demo unit, but I didn't know if it was something to do with a setting, maybe double press or something, or what.

I already googled and saw lag reports on XDA, just want to ask here to. If the device isn't very smooth I won't even consider it.

Also always hear of samsung devices, and some android ones in general, slowing down over time. But I don't suppose anyone's had the phone long enough to see that.

No lag here.. Actually it's smoother and less laggy than my six plus was in the 20 odd days I had it.

The recent apps button does take a split second to come up... But when I switched over to ART (which I switched back from) that lag was gone as well.

Didn't think Samsung could make a lag free service but they have here.

The update to android 5.0 will be art natively and erase any lag you might encounter.

Yes but one thing I am very concerned about is that even if samsung updates a device to a new android version they don't change the touchwiz UI to the new updated one do they? So you're always stuck with the touchwiz look you're shipped with right?

Not only that but it will take a while for samsung and the carriers to roll out the update no?

Why did you return the motor 360 I am actually thinking of picking one up after work. Did you not like it?

Note 4 is extremely smooth all around. Haven't had no lag or hiccups yet.

Pressing the recent apps button seems slightly lagged by milliseconds, but I think it's due to the animation design of the recent apps UI. I get the same exact slight lag with recent apps on my Nexus 7 running Lolipop Preview. It's only noticeable if pointed out to you.
