Galaxy Note 4

I agree about the widgets wasting space.

But what I was trying to say was that I wish there were more 1x1 widgets specifically designed for the Note 4's TW launcher (or Google's... or any launcher set up as a 4x4 icon grid).

You can really convey a lot in a 1x1 icon on the Note 4. I'd want things like weather, news and whatnot--especially if it auto scrolled.

Basically I am saying I want to somewhat negate drawbacks of being stuck on a 4x4 launcher grid. ;)

Thank you all - message content now visible! Also loving the floaty chat bubble when receiving a message in other apps. TW sure has quirks but many are useful to me.

Hopefully DT2W is coming as it's almost on every other phone or ROM I've been using for a while now.

As long as your open to learning a new OS, this is one helluva device. I'm still impressed how this phone just feels like it's worth every bit of the $840 I paid for it. I don't do contacts, so when I get a phone, it has to really be worth it. This one totally is. Easily the most premium and professional looking phone in my opinion.
 
anyone know if there is a kids mode on the note 4? i don't see it on my at&t version but that would come in handy sometimes. thanks

Yeah I hear ya. Those huge icons could fit in a lot of info.
 
is anyone having problems with Hangouts on the Note 4? Mine is stuttering alot and is quite laggy..

I've restarted and cleared the cache. Not sure what else I can really do.
 
I think I may have asked but just curious how many of you with a note 4 have a mac? How do you find the sync ability?
 
Finally got my note 4 today, rooted, removed tmobile bloat were so far so good. The screen is really mind blowing, and it's smooth as butter. Now just gotta sell my note 3 to recoup the cash.

You can use Kies to sync, or if just iTunes something like iSyncr

As long as you have a gmail account you can use that for syncing contacts and calendars between your Mac and android device.

I just wish there was a way to put notes app and remember app on iOS/mac to android too. Google keep would bridge this gap if it at least had an iOS app but it doesn't.

This is one of the things I'm most concerned about but a lot can be synced via gmail just like icloud and there are apps that claim to sync everything else like sync mate. Hopefully with a minimal amount of fiddling I can get it as easy as iOS.

It depends on what you want to sync?
I use iSyncr to sync all of my iTunes music, playlists and movies.

I use Dropbox to sync all of my pictures and for file sharing. Install the dropbox client on all of your Macs and PCs and everything is in sync and easy to get to.

I use Google for my Calendar and contacts. I use it for all of my Macs and PCs and phones. So everything is in sync. Make a change one place and the change gets replicated to all devices.

I'm having inconsistent results when pressing the button on the back of the phone to take selfies. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. Is there some trick to this?

It is not pressing but releasing.
Put your finger in the scanner then point your camera then release to take photo.

Download the Google keep app from Chrome store, it runs on its own window just like a native app.

It also has to have your face in focus in the little circle that pops up. I tried to take a selfie with the focus on my cat and no matter what I did with that fingerprint scanner it wouldn't work. After I focused on my face, it worked.
