Thanks I'll give it a shot. Does anyone know what the time out for the FP sensor is to kick in? It seems I can turn my phone off and if it's a short period I only have to swipe, no FP sensor. I wonder if this time frame is adjustable.

Also I think someone earlier posted an app to keep the FP sensor on only when not on a friendly WiFi. That might be interesting.
There are settings you can change which let you choose the amount of time before the phone locks, after the screen has gone off by itself.

An app which would allow you to disable the lock whilst connected to a friendly wifi point is Tasker, though I'm not 100% sure if it would work with fingerprint scanner.

I've been playing with Delayed Lock. It only works with pin/pattern and not the fingerprint lock though. Definitely interesting, it disables security if you are in a designated WiFi network or even if you are connected to a certain Bluetooth device.

Would love to know how the screen is in sunlight?

It's great.

If you leave the screen on auto... It has the ability to achieve over 700 nits if it detects direct sunlight. Brightest screen I have ever used in the sun. Remember... Got to keep the auto brightness on though. You can't achieve this by just turning the screen to max (which is bright as well... But not as bright as it can be).

Yes. The sunlight readability is extremely good this way.

They weren't kidding when they said large mixed grill

How long before it activates the superbright mode and how long it stays? I experimented with putting it in direct sunlight (in the room, though) and found it kinda inconsistent - takes a few seconds to activate (if at all), then can revert in just several seconds.

For me it takes a couple of seconds. Stays on it as long as I'm standing in direct sunlight outside. It turns off if I'm in any kind of shade.

Just came back from visiting a few local stores with a N9100 (Dual SIM Chinese version) in tow.

Was very impressed with a hands on in Shanghai last month but was waiting to see the black version and dual SIM.

Despite having a 5s and OPO, I couldn't pass it up, even only having 16gb RAM (hello 128gb SD card) and a few hundred mAh less compared to other variants. Both SIMs are not locked and it'll get LTE in most countries I need it to.

I gave the 6+ a good look over but wasn't particularly wowed. Not that it's a fine device, mind. But, a crazy good screen, SD card, removable battery, dual SIM, and S Pen + OneNote handwriting are big winners. As is easy file transfers.

Not sure about the OPO now (a damn fine device at 40% of the Note 4) but it may become redundant. And the 5s feels quite small now, mostly thanks to the OPO. Time to consolidate maybe?

Anyway, still in the honeymoon period and getting to know TW again. Probably try to keep root/hack free since it'll be a daily driver. At least for a while.

Living in Arizona that "super bright" mode is very helpful. I didn't see it kick on till this past Saturday. It is very bright, albeit with an overexposed look. Still, it is far better than squinting at a hard to see screen.

Once you see it it is very obvious. Before actually seeing it I had wrongly assumed it had come on in the car on a sunny day (it seemed bright). Never thought I would be saying an AMOLED display is bright enough for bright sun usage.

My only criticism is that I wish we could control when it comes on--or even if it comes on. There are times when I know it will be needed before getting out of the car. I'd like to be able to turn it on so if I need my phone it is already on--and won't turn off. Other times I might be sitting in my car and don't want it turning off and on (like when the top of the phone is in the sun and the bottom is shaded).

Still, very cool feature.

In terms of calories...I have a good metabolism, and am active....but I watch what I eat.

I used to do this for the girls, but now I am married.

I do it for the beer now....beer and I have a passionate love affair. Alcohol in general actually.

Yeah my metabolism is quite slow and I've done all the things to try a different boost it. It's just naturally slow for me which is a curse. :)

Don't drink, watch what I eat, get my 5 portions of fruit/veg a day, eat mostly vegetarian and one look at some baileys cheesecake and I can feel my waist expand in front of me....

It has its advantages. That would make you an endomorph. You struggle to loose weight...but you can easily put on weight and muscle mass. Some people would kill for that.

We all have our own struggles I guess, haha.

We all seem to have a phone addiction in common though.
