I think it was just the Nova update where you can use the 5.0 theme

Even badges can appear on any app. Unless that was there before

Cool, just installed it here and yeah more apps are supported, however the weather widget is still different from how it appears in touchwiz launcher for me.

You're not on power saving with CPU throttling are you? What carrier? I'm on AT&T. I get a little stutter when it scrolls *as* the images load.

It's an AT&T model, and no power saving is enabled. This stutters when images have been loaded. I also found a new app that stutters, MyFitnessPal. It doesn't have images. Maybe it's application dependent. Then again, I noticed micro stutter when scrolling between home pages. I'm going to stop and compare this to a model at best buy and see how they compare. Maybe I got a lemon.

Have you tried disabling S Voice? That made a huge difference on my Note 2. Granted it's a 2 year old phone and my issues were more with home button related slowness, but you might give it a shot anyway.

I just got my champagne gold neo hybrid spigen case..... just in time for me to possibly decide i want the nexus 6 instead.

Finally got my Note 4. I ordered a few screen protectors. BUT I will not be putting a case on this beauty. I cannot express how much this phone has exceeded all my expectations in looks, feel, and function. How the heck was I ever a blind Samsung hater. I really hope Samsung keeps the soft touch removable backs on their high end phones. For heavy users that don't want to stay tethered to a wall socket, a removable battery is prime. I love multi window. Wasn't sure how useful it would be, but it's very effective. Same with minimized windows. There's just so much here that you simply know you have the tool to get the job done. Whatever that may be.

The best part of removable backs for me is that it stops you worrying about it getting scratched as you can simply replace it with another down the line.

Does anyone know if Samsung's browser has always performed this good? In fact, I like it better than Chrome or Firefox. It also looks nice. I actually don't feel a need to replace a lot of the stock apps. QuickPic came highly recommended for a gallery app, but you can't delete pics from the external SD Card. The stock gallery app can. Bravo to Samsung for circumventing Google's SD Card restriction. Once I get comfortable with this OS, I'll venture off and root. I really like what I'm reading about Xposed modules.

Marquees Brownlee mentions the normal "touchwiz jank" is still present.

Absolute shame:(

It's nothing major at all. He also says it's the best Phablet out there. Which I totally agree. This phone just feels right. And just like he also mentions the Note 4 feeling more compact than the thinner iPhone 6+, he's totally spot on.

1. I did something that made Hangouts flyout into a new pop up window. I don't think the Note3 did this? Though I am not sure how I did it?

2. Can you now listen to all of your Google voice messages in Hangouts? Is there still a need for the Google voice app?

Thanks.

This is the new pop out window feature, you do it by scrolling from either top corner diagonally down, but only when in a compatible app.

I'm back to nova full time and that's not a knock on touchwiz. I can just fit more on the screen

Does Nova completely remove TW? Does it remove the stylus features?

----------

What are your thoughts on the white vs. black Note 4? I got the white one and someone told me last night that it was very feminine looking....

Aside from the comment of it being feminine looking, I've never owned a white phone, always black and was worried about it showing dirt over time, discoloring, etc. Are any of these concerns?

Thanks.

There is nothing missing from nova to touchwiz

Just make it what you want really on nova

I've been struggling with the fingerprint sensor all day today, I have to say that it's utter garbage, very disappointed. I've tried registering multiple fingers, multiple angles, etc. It's not the same error though, it says to go slower, or swipe the entire button, etc. randomly. I can sit there with 2 hands in a quiet room and carefully swipe my finger and it still won't detect it, even 10+ times in a row. I suppose I may just have bad hardware, I hope that's it because this is unacceptable. The FP sensor was one of the main reasons I updated from my Note 3.

I've been frustrated with S voice as well. Normally I despise S voice but I thought I'd give it a chance this time around. It doesn't detect my voice 3/4 of the time.

Try registering the same print multiple times, that's what I did. Remember to swipe the bottom of the screen too as you use it. Also S-Voice never has been good. Go to settings in the app, disable double tap home button to activate... download Home2 Shortcut, set it up with Voice Search (Google) and you've effectively replaced S-Voice with Google's when you double tap the home button.

Out of this world:

Why the blazingly fast new Galaxy Note 4 is simply light years ahead of Apple's iPhone

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/eve...-simply-light-years-ahead-Apple-s-iPhone.html

Is the Daily Mail a reputable/respectable publication in the UK? (sorry, no idea on this side of the pond ;)) And what about the author--Rob Waugh? I only ask because the article reads like it's written by a 16 year old Android devotee.

Please note, I'm not disagreeing that the Note 4 beats the iPhone in a few areas of comparison. Just found the writing and tone to be incredibly immature and no better than what you might find from the very same 'Apple fanboy' he derides in the posting.

If I was a Note 4 fan, not exactly the piece of writing I'd hang my hat on.

That article was quite out of this world indeed xD

Thanks I'll give it a shot. Does anyone know what the time out for the FP sensor is to kick in? It seems I can turn my phone off and if it's a short period I only have to swipe, no FP sensor. I wonder if this time frame is adjustable.

Also I think someone earlier posted an app to keep the FP sensor on only when not on a friendly WiFi. That might be interesting.
