I select the left button/app switcher

I press the button in the upper right corner of a window that supports

I get split screen

in the lower area I can choose the app I want for the lower section

I can then click on the round button (say Firefox) and choose to make it a fly out window

A round Firefox icon displays on screen, when clicked it becomes a flyout window

I'm guessing I'm doing this wrong? It seems like too many steps???

I did not know this was possible! But it works great! Found it on XDA
This enables the Google now "Ok Google" Feature where you can activate Google now while the screen is off.

How To:
1) Open Google Now
2) Go to Google Now Settings
3) Click on "Voice"
4) Enable "Audio History"
5) Click "Ok Google Detection"
6)Click "Always on" and follow the remaining directions.

I enable it when locked too. I think the Note 4 is able to use just a dsp with barely any power from cpu to always listen. I use it whIle it is sitting on my desk and not even plugged in and it is nice to have.

That said i have been using that for about a week now and it worked great at first then sporadically would not respond. It finally got to the point where it would only work with Google Now page open. In my case I think it was due to having the Google Launcher installer too. But others have reported other apps that somehow interfered with it

I did have one problem since removing Google launcher but I think that was related to force closing Google Now. I need to stop force closing apps. It's not that I am seeing a slowdown. I just see most memory used up and think oh no better close apps. Gotta stop worrying about that and let the system handle it.

I wouldn't have it on all the time as it will drain your battery quite abit.

I have it on but only when screen is on.

S voice has been disabled..love ok google.

It really doesn't drain the battery like you might think, at least on my AT&T note with the SnapDragon cpu. From what I understand it has an always listening wake-up command built in that uses very little power. I would hope that is what is being used.

Yep. No impact on battery at all. I didn't notice increase in standby battery drain after turning this on.

Has anyone else discovered a Google Chrome Samsung extension over in Google play by Google themselves. It's made chrome much faster on my Samsung note 12.2 and Alpha

will give it a try then

I've set it to always now..no battery issue at all luckily. I use it to set my alarm mainly

I'm not experiencing any lag at all. I'm new to Samsung, so not sure how much is TW compared to stock Android. I have to say though, I really like this UI. Basic things like swiping left or right on a contact for calling or texting that contact is nice function. Or even smart alert and direct call, extremely useful and well thought out functions. This is the first phone that I am able to recommend without any hesitation.

Yeah I'm not experience any lag either.

I've started to notice some lag, even using Nova Launcher, but only in Hangouts when sending a message or bringing up the keyboard. It seems some people have XDA have had the issue to, seems like this should be a Hangouts issue and not a hardware issue, but my G3 doesn't seem to have the problem, not as noticeable at least.

I'm waiting to see if my carrier gets the gold version but I'll only wait for 2 more weeks. Otherwise I'll get the white one. I really want the gold one though.....

Yeah my wife wants the gold or pink one too, hopefully t-mobile gets those colors.

Unfortunately my note 4 had to go back because I couldn't use it in landscape without hitting the capacitive hardware buttons or the power button which pressed really, really easily. I also had another landscape annoyance of the good keyboards taking up the whole screen for no reason. Did find one with an option to stop that but the auto correct was horrible.

Its a great phone, just didn't suit me in landscape mode and I use my phone like that a lot. If only they had an option to show software keys and disable the hardware ones.

Thank you to the friendly people thats helped out with questions I and I hope you all enjoy your note 4s

What phone are you going to use?

A case would have solved at least the power button problem :) It's a matter of getting used to a new design with different functionality. Someone who only uses an iPhone, constantly keeps pressing the menu and back key. Meanwhile, that never happens to me anymore. I've gotten used to the way Samsung designs their phones.

However, I hope you find something that suits you better!

All of a sudden, "Ok Google" detection is no longer available as Always On and is grayed out under Google Now options. "This feature is currently unavailable for this language." What's up??!?

Not sure... It works for me. But it is intermittent when the screen has been off for a while.
