The note 3 did have one handed use mode, which in my opinion is better implemented than the side panel (Note 4 still has this)
It wasn't about one handed mode, though I imagine he knew about it on the Note 3. It was about that one feature that he mentioned that was, for whatever the reason, important enough to make the size of the Note 4 easier to deal with. The Note 3 doesn't have it.

I don't really use or need any one handed functionality so I don't care either way.

Fair enough, although I'm surprised that feature is the side panel, as I tried it for a while, but didn't find it particularly useful. Maybe I need to give it another go.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but in don't think processor speed or ram has anything to do with how quickly things can be deleted? Surely this is to do with the speed of the storage memory? Can't imagine the iPhone would be faster in this department as samsung makes the memory,no?

Don't waste your time. He isn't here for objectivity.

I tried it again after I wrote my first post about it and for me it didn't do anything for me. It was kind of nice having it off to the side like that I guess, ready to be called up if needed. If you have trouble hitting the capacitive buttons while holding the phone in one hand I suppose it could be really useful (without having to shrink the screen).

One important point I forgot to mention in my first post is that at last I can play with my files the way I want without having to put iTunes in the loop and THAT is great plus.

Yup, can't disagree with that. I used too think this was overstated until I used an OPO on a daily basis alongside my 5S.

As for one-handed mode the other guys are talking about, it works reasonably well. The small flyout menu with home/back/etc, keyboard and shrinking screen are at least an option unlike many other phablets - it does the best it can on a wide device.

Can't say I'm disappointed in any one-handed features given it's a phablet and I expected to need two hands most of the time. At least Samsung tried.

still lags on 4.4.4 with TW, this is completly unacceptable for a device rocking a 2.7 ghz Quad core with 3 GB of RAM, its honestly still completely unacceptable at the fact that it takes a few seconds to delete multiple photos and videos off the device, IF i tag 50 photos to delete, why does it take 3 seconds to delete with a loading bar? why isnt it instant like it is on a iPhone?
Doesn't lag on my Note 4. I just deleted 50 photos and it took under 1.5 seconds!

So there is a loading bar still when you delete a decent amount of stuff, go over 100 items selected it will minimum take at least 2.5 seconds while this is actually all instant even on a iPhone 4 to this day, things like this is where iOS is alot faster then Android

If that means so much to you...then by all means stick with an iPhone. Those times when anyone would delete 100 or 50 or whatever large amount of photos is so very minor. I am sure those 1 or 2 seconds will add up to what 1 or 2 seconds of your life to really make a difference.
So my advice to you.......get a iPhone and be happy with it. If you do really have a Note 4...sell it......get what you want and stop complaining.........

I actually get a bit of a thrill watching the loading bar when I'm deleting photos.. so I'll stick to my Note 4

ok google not working when device is locked

doesn't work for me either.......

Go to "Language and input".

Then to "Voice search".

Then to "OK Google" Detection.

Make sure you screen is like this.

It should work then, when saying "Ok Google" firmly. If not, make sure S-Voice is enabled. I think it uses S-voice to listen while from lock screen while screen is off.

Same here, I just deleted 60 pics, and it took about 1.5secs, it showed the bar, but was quickly done, nowhere near as bad as someone is desperately trying to make it sound.

I haven't had lag, my Note 4 runs beautifully. Two of my colleagues have iPhone 6 and I would say my Note 4 is on par, each device has its own little slowdown at different areas, I also have an iPad 4, the battery life my Note 4 is giving me is closer to iPad than it is to smartphone, I posted here late last month that I get just over 7hours On Screen time (aka Usage in iOS) with around 12-15hours Off charge, its simply incredible, I barely use my iPad these days except at work as my Calender and GPS when I need to go to a new client for example.

I have done that. But it doesn't work for me from the locks screen after UT has been off for a while.

Did you install the Samsung voice activation app when prompted the first time you enabled ok google?

It needs that app to listen to sound when phone screen is off.

Yes... It worked for a while... But now it seems the longer the screen is off the less likely it will work

I somehow disabled both S Voice and S Health and cannot find where to re-enable! The apps no longer appear in my app tray nor when I search for them in Settings. Any help?

Settings -> Application Manager -> Disabled Apps.

Try uninstalling Google Search/Now, or the updates, from the app info settings. Then go to the play store and install it again or update again. Make sure you clear data in the app info screen.

Hmm I don't remember if I dis this or not, where can I check?

so enabling S voice will fix it?

as I did shortly after activating ok google.

Yep! Just found it out for myself.

If you've disabled S Voice, always on "Ok Google" will not work. Go into Settings -- Application Manager -- Disabled Apps. Click S Voice. "Turn On". Then go back into Google settings, "Ok Google" Detection and click "Always On" and "When Locked". Woo!

(thx beavo for showing me how to re-enable S Voice)

Great stuff thanks

How do you make the app dock on right side display? I did this by accident and can not figure it out.

Thanks.
