So....early observation so take it with a grain of salt.

Installed the T-Mobile update that allows native video calling or whatever.

I turned on volte and WiFi calling. It's been 6 hours and cell stand by battery use is 1%.

Used to be 15 percent in an hour.
I didn't see the 'video calling' option when I had it... Where's it located?

It's an update available today on T-Mobile. Check tmonews. It's native and incorporated into the dialer. Kinds of like facetime is in ios. The galaxy s6 and edge regular will be updated next week.

Other phones to follow. T-Mobile also is rolling out native SMS that functions just like Imessage.

Anyway, once I installed the update, the cell standby wakelock stand by seems to have disappeared.

To clarify, it's a software update.

Hopefully AT&T does the same thing.

You said ATT and hope they do the same thing. LOL, you're funny.

I am ditching ATT like a bad habit soon for T-Mobile, even if their service is a little worse. Because ATT have taken the crown for Nazi carrier away from Verizon.

ATT is now Mr. LockedDown, no fun, super high data price and whack ya hard at billing time.

I'm done with their BS.

T-Mobile is actually really great, customer service and policies. As long as you have the service...,and all areas I visit do. They are make great progress.

Dam Tig, why you telling me this after I just orders a Note 5 on NEXT

I just didn't get good coverage at work with TMO; and I also had a coworker tell me he suffers from bad LTE coverage.

I thought your review preferred the iPhone? Am I wrong?

Hmm...I must have mistaken you for someone else. My apologies.

But yeah, note 5 is awesome, right? Best phone I have ever put my hands on.

Two year ago, i wouldn't have thought samsung capable of this device.

I would switch to T-Mobile in a second, but need my reception, especially indoors. One of my patients is a tmobile regional manager and said they are rolling out the new spectrum which penetrates buildings much better. It's been over a year since I tried T-Mobile, it might be time to give them a try again.

Exactly.. I'll stick it out with the ATT and maybe next device, I'll look into them again.

I appreciate the fact they: don't brand phones, unlocked bootloaders, and JUMP on demand is pretty good deal for someone like me.

Thanks for the info, I just did the same. We'll see.

Man, I though the Note 4 was very nice looking already but the 5 really is that bit slimmer and smarter. And though I love my 6+ there's no denying that the extra display-to-bezel ratio on the 5 is quite sexy.

BTW jamezr, if its not too much - I'd love to see a pic with those three really close together and all showing a white page! I hear that the 5 is a bit closer to the iPhone in white tone but I haven't found any good comparison pics yet. :)
Here you go sir! All 3 are on a blank white website. All have the brightness turned up to maximum.

Loving my Note 5. Still experimenting, but battery life has been good. Fast charging is nice. Soon, for my desk at work, I will get the Samsung wireless fast charger. image.jpg

Mine dropped 10-12% on the first night...then got progressively better... now it's about 5%
Same. Took mine off the charger at 100% at around 11 pm the other night and woke up around 8 am and it dropped to 95% over night. Not bad.
