In the UK would apps like the BBC Iplayer and Sky Go work on the N9208 version? Just curious.

I believe so, don't think they track by that measure, I wager they use location services and/or IP address. Never seen a disclosure like that when droid life or the like posts news stories on sales on international models.

Yes. The device makes no difference. It's the IP address your accessing them from which will be a uk IP address from your carrier / broadband supplier.

The origin of the device makes no difference :)

Arty kernel 5.0 beta + ThrashROM 3.4 = nirvana for this phone. Super smooth, warp speed fast, and unbelievable battery life, and rock solid stable.

After being off the charger for 21h 36m, majority of that on 4G network, I have over 6h Screen On time, can easily get 6.5h Screen On time with this ROM + Kernel combo :)

This Note 5 is getting close to iPhone 6 Plus battery life

Thank you

I got another question about an imported device, would the Samsung Pay work in the UK on it? I'm going to guess it won't?
Got my 9208 yesterday and iPlayer works as does everything else so far. The only phone I've had app compatibility issues with recently was the OP2.

LTE compatibility is the point of difference but that's about it. I'm pretty sure Samsung Pay will also work unless you've tripped Knox.

Today, I said goodbye to my old Note 5. I ditched it after the headphone issues and speaker issues I had. I opted not to get another replacement since it was not worth the original price I paid. Got hit w/ a restocking fee, which I had to discuss with my carrier's customer service. I did find a bargain for the S6 itself, so I will downgrade to that since the form factor is probably better since my phablet will be the 6S+.

Thanks, what carrier are you in to have LTE issues? Have you tried the Samsung Pay yet?

Congrats! You also have a iphone right? The best of both worlds INMO.
Thanks! I do for now. I am going to sell it and only use one phone for now. I am going to get the new iPhone for Christmas. I totally forgot Apple Music was coming to Android this Fall. This will hold me off until I can find a reasonably priced 64GB iPhone 6S Plus on Swappa or eBay for under $650.

If your into the deep black themes, this one is great for the Note 5. On the AMOLED display it looks stunning, true deep black hole, not dark grey, or midnight blue, but black as black.

They say if you run a true deep black background it will help battery life on AMOLED displays.

To run this theme, you need two things;

#1: Material Dark theme installed from the Samsung store
#2: Flash this zip in Recovery "Blackery" from this link below;

I see the £460 is for the dual sim version. Anyone know if the dual sim note 5 will work in the uk?

Thanks you guys, think most if my questions have been answered, it doesn't help with Tig Bitties posting all those photos of performance and battery life from his tweaks and ROMs haha. I will wait to see what the Nexus 5 offers, well the price too but the Note 5 is a sexy value for money flagship, hmm.

Good to know. I'm assuming 3G and Edge will also work fine on it?
Yep, you'll get H+ and below as well.

I run o2 as my main number which my contact is on but it only has 3gb data each month. If i run out, or specifically need LTE speeds, I switch data to slot 2 where my EE payg SIM is.

EE also send to get a signal in placed where o2 has dead spots for me so I usually go for dual sim phones if possible.

Great stuff. Thanks. I may be pulling the trigger in a few day's time on one or the other, well if the Nexus is announced on the 29th.

Do you need to be rooted to use this theme?
