Ggahhhh its now 445! Stuff it i'm working the finances out and pulling the trigger, I can't ignore a price like that! The new Nexus is bound to be around the 400 mark yet the Note 5 gives a lot more.

I've never owned a phablet before and going from a Nexus 5 to a Note 5 is scary, but I was all but ready to buy a Note 4 so I'll give it a go.

EDIT: Just waiting for the funds to clear on my credit card then I'm getting the Note 5. If the new LG Nexus ends up with a SnapDragon 620, 3GB RAM, 32 and 64GB storage, 2K screen and the camera is very good I'll be annoyed, something tells me it won't get all that though.

If you create an account, and then leave the item in your shopping basket - don't checkout. You often get an email giving you an extra £5 - £10 off if you complete purchase.

Just wanted to double check, the N9208 version comes with the Google Play Store installed?

Yep it does.

Re: purchasing it now ...

Look at it this way, worse case scenario is that you don't like it - because it's not released in the UK you will be able to sell it on gumtree or Amazon as a marketplace seller and should not lose any money. :)

Thanks MRU, I made an account and put it in the basket, it came up with a window for an extra £6 off so I clicked on the twitter icon, followed them on there but then the little box went away on their website when I went to enter my email address to sign up for offers? It's sat in my bascket now though. How do I get that extra £6 off?

Edit: ah nevermind, I can get another £10 off by singing up to their newsletter.

I got my T-Mobile Note 5 variant and was able to get it unlocked for AT&T. Man, I have to hand it to Samsung...this is a solid device in nearly every aspect.

Arty kernel 5.0 beta + ThrashROM 3.4 = nirvana for this phone. Super smooth, warp speed fast, and unbelievable battery life, and rock solid stable.

After being off the charger for 21h 36m, majority of that on 4G network, I have over 6h Screen On time, can easily get 6.5h Screen On time with this ROM + Kernel combo :)

This Note 5 is getting close to iPhone 6 Plus battery life

Thank you

Thanks! This is my current rom and kernel! I downloaded the MB theme you were talking about as well. Very solid. So glad all that bloat is gone!

I could use some help with this! I'm also looking for a T-Mobile variant but most seem to be locked. How did you go about unlocking the phone? I was under the impression that the seller would have to be the one to unlock the device, is this false? Can I be the one to contact ATT or TMO to receive an unlock code? Any info would be great!

This guy was very helpful in getting it done for me. It took less than around a minute or so for him to finish it.

MKBHD review is up.

Overall a positive review with just the battery being good but not amazing but he does cite fast charging as a viable aid.

Still settling my battery in but haven't managed to drain it over a full day yet and purposely didn't charge during the day yet even though I easily could have being near power sources.

Galaxy Note 5 Case, Ringke SLIM

http://www.amazon.com/Ringke-Essent...1442611872&sr=1-1&keywords=note+5+slim+ringke

Wow, just wow. I have never liked a case so much. This thing fits like a frigging glove, very tight close fit, and is almost like a thick skin as opposed to a case.

Yeah this won't save the phone from big drops, but it does prevent dings and scratches, and feels much better in the hand nice rubbery grippy feel, than the naked slippery phone.

Got a frosty white and black one.

I discovered SLIMs with the S6 and now won't use anything else as my compact case. It's barely noticeable in terms of extra dimensions whilst providing grip, preventing the Note5 from slipping out of my pocket, and protecting the camera when I lay it flat.

I read somewhere owners complained their devices got scratched but I've never had it happen to me.

Is it worth w/o the warranty?

It should still have the warranty, I don't believe Samsung checks where you bought it, at least they never asked me when I called for warranty support. With Samsung warranty support being so utterly useless I'd just get squaretrade anyhow, you can get it for eBay purchases.

Is there any downfall to using the Tmo variant on ATT network? Are all of the LTE bands compatible?

Time, because it rules EVERYTHING!
I got my new SIM card today, thankfully EE have come into modern times and their sims are now the ones that you snap out of the one piece of plastic depending on the size you need. So it's in my current phone fine, then I'll snap it out again to the micro size for the Note 5. Have to say EE did everything for me in about 10 mins, just chucked it into my phone turned it on and bam, all activated and ready to go. Pretty impressed I didn't have to go through the rigmarole of phoning an automated system, then waiting for all those text messages that you turn your phone of and on after haha.

Anyway, so I have read about the Note 5 being extra slippy, I am thinking of a skin, but I have also read about the Ringke Slim case. So I have bought the slim case and the Galaxy Note 4 Brodit holder in the hope it all fits due to the smaller size of the Note 5 being made slightly thicker with the case. If not then I'll get my Dremell on it. Brodit don't make a Note 5 holder yet.
