^ Yes I dream of the day that android can roll out updates in a manner that is as good as windows. Windows probably runs on a greater variety of hardware to boot!

as it stands on android you mostly have to choose between better support (nexus) and better hardware (samsung & arguably others)

:( :(
MS has just recently revised the list of W8 Lumia devices that will get W10, so it seems it is no easier with Windows. Take note these are all Qualcomm Snapdragon based phones just with diff HW versions.

Some reports have said Samsung is pushing out Marshmallow today to the Note 5.
Has anyone on T-Mobile or AT&T got it yet?

Thanks...me too. Waiting for Samsung and TMO to get this rolling!
Yeah, not sure what the hold up is. Tmobile doesn't have any apps that I could see being incompatible with 6.0 - other GSM carriers have released it already so I don't think it's the band compatibility.

Sure hope it's not their sim unlock tool or their device diagnostics tool - that would be such a waste.

You're keeping the Note 5 finally?
I am going to pay off what is remaining on my JOD for that phone. I think it is like $320. They go for $450 to $500 on CL so might make some cash on it. BUT....if Marshmallow helps the battery a little.....I might have to keep it.

Did you make extra payments on yours? I got mine on release day and I still have 500+ on my EIP. How do you only have $320?

It got the 64Gb so I had to put money down on it when I jumped. I checked my account and that's what it shows for the balance on that phone.

Nice! Maybe you scored a deal :)

Have to say, this is the best phone I've owned so far but the G5 and the HTC renders look mighty tempting.

Just to clarify, yes Jamezr' JOD lease has a remaining balance of $320 (mine does too). However, that only covers the 18 month lease. If you want to keep the phone, not only do you have to pay off the lease, you have to pay an additional $178. So, they're both close to $500.

Love the Note 5. I was a lucky duck because I bought it just before ATT sent out notice that they were upping the unlimited plan and if you wanted to leave ATT - they would waive their termination fee as long as it wasn't purchased on a NEXT plan. Since I bought mine on a 2 year contract, I scored the Note 5 32gb for $250 and now own it outright - and happily on t-mobile and saving about $20 a month.
