You do realise that stating the Note 5 looks alot like the S6 is perhaps the biggest insult you can give to the Note 5 phone. If it does resemble the S6 too much in real life it is even more dead that before.
I find it funny how many are moaning about no IR blaster and making that the sole reason for no purchase. Why is an IR blaster even on a phone?
Android and Samsung just ooze lower tier.
Also when will Samsung fix their icons and general screen layout. It still looks like it was designed by an 5 yr old. If it wasnt for the likes of Nova laucher etc Android would have much less sales.
I cannot stand the way the standard icons look.
Again with the low tier....your opinion. Whatever you want to think. Tech writers don't agree with you, and 50%+ of the market doesn't. Also, you can say "if someone has the money, they will buy an iPhone"...because it just simply isn't true. Anyway...don't arguing this point with you.
The s6 and s6 edge are the two most premium phones on the market, until next week. My edge was the best phone I ever owned. The battery life wasn't great...but I think that depends on the person. I have been loving the battery life on the iPhone 6+ that I have been using for a few weeks....but the last few days it has been really poor. Go figure?
You also essentially stated that android wouldn't sale as well without its ability to customize its looks...um, no kidding? That is one of the BIGGEST pluses of android.....
Do better.
I had the S6 and loved the the phone. It was the fastest most responsive phone I have ever used. It was just too small for me. The build quality was top notch. So if the Note 5 can look like the S6 and with a bigger screen and S-Pen with the same best in class camera. How can it be wrong?
Agreed
I'm at 88% battery and only 24 min screen on time with my Edge
I'm still getting about 3 to 3.5 on mine.
3-3.5 isn't that bad. I just need my phone to make it through the day. I don't care about making it through two days...just easily make it though a normal day and Ill be happy.
Honestly, I have enjoyed using the iPhone these last few weeks...but I do find it limiting. I one drive, gmail, google calendar, and variety of other services. I can't attach a document from my one drive, using the gmail (or inbox) app...I have to go through the one drive app. Some apps can share between each other...other apps can't. Pushbullet simply won't work. Using android, when using multiple services, is less of a headache. Now if I was completely entrenched in the apple eco system (I do have a mac and iPad...but thats it)....the iPhone would make more sense. But I don't have an apple tv, I don't use iCloud, etc.
I have a 2015 macbook pro (because of the hardware...can't beat it...but dell is closing the gap FAST), iPad air 2 (most powerful tablet, and android doesn't have a PDF reader worth a dang, and that is REAL important to me), chrome cast, amazon fire stick, xbox one, playstation 4, nest, etc. I use one drive for cloud storage, and google for google now, gmail, calendar, etc. I use the best tech available for each category. I am not loyal to any one company.
For this situation, the note 5 integrates the best with all of these services.
Now if for some reason I hate the note 5 when I get it (thats the plan)...Ill move to the new iPhone or nexus.
But next year, when Apple redesigned the iPhone....Samsung better bring their A game. Android already has "google on tap" and other features rolling forward. It will be a good year in tech.
