Also when will Samsung fix their icons and general screen layout. It still looks like it was designed by an 5 yr old...

...I cannot stand the way the standard icons look.

Actually I think they are some of the best looking icons around. In fact they look very much like one the highest rated (and one of my favorite) icon packs in the Play Store called Belle UI. But yeah, keep hating.

Thats a great change...one of my pet peeves with previous Notes. Everything seemed overly large and blown up---the notification panel particularly drove me nuts. Felt like they were wasted that extra screen real estate.

These posts have me itching to head over to BB to take a look myself.

You know what's kinda sad, you can't tell which phone in those pics is the Note 4 or 5.

S5...S6...Note 5..I don't know what to get anymore :(
Yeah It's all got confusing.

The S5 has a removable battery, micro SD card slot and waterproofing but at the same time it's almost two years old and will slow down soon and wont be updated for much longer.

The note 4 has a removable battery and SD card and more importantly has the S-pen and a large high resolution display. It is also the most current note device available to me in the UK. Quick charging. However like the S5 it is older. It's not latest and greatest.

Then we have the S6 edge plus - Latest and greatest, beautiful design, beastly camera. Improved fingerprint scanner, Samsung pay compatible, themes, has a very efficient processor, 4 GB of ram and SSD like memory. Even better QHD display. Wireless charging and quick charging. Plus the edge features. However it lacks a removable battery and SD card slot and this is not mittigated by having 128GB internal storage.

I'm in a conundrum. :(

I would be quite set on the S6 Edge+, if not for the price. I've heard that the 32GB will be £699, and that's beyond my price range. I understand that the Note 5 is less expensive, which would be ideal for me, as those were my initial plans. If only the Note 5 were available in the UK...
I don't know. maybe I'll get the S6. Speaking of which, where are the price drops for the S6?
Apparently it dropped by £60. Not sure where thought and for what capacity. The S6/S6 edge would be too small for me. I love my phablets too much.

Mostly it's videos. Also music and pictures. I also have about 160 apps.
videos as in ones you take or films?

still unsure which to go for...128GB it's £789 and i think even for me thats too much. Certainly when I will only sell it a year later

It's a mixture of stuff I've recorded and TV shows and music videos. I have well over 200 music videos/live music performances. Lol I'm getting nostalgic for my samsung devices. I used to have whole music concerts stored on my Micro SD cards. I also used to rip a lot of DVDs and keep them on my devices. Whole seasons of star trek and the x files lol

Yeah I've been there so many times. Going from the latest note to the next S device just to have the latest and greatest and then missing the real estate.
looking forward to going for the big iphone. Will still use my samsung devices but it will decrease as time goes on.

Already loving my air 2 so i know the experience should be very good. Will be getting the watch too.

Plus there's no IR in the S6 edge plus :( I'm still leaning towards S6....

Samsung's Senior Vice President, Kim Hyun-joon, revealed that the Galaxy Note 4 sales in North America and Western Europe are doing great. In fact, in those regions the Note 4 is outpacing the sales of its predecessor, the Galaxy Note 3, from last year.

http://www.gsmarena.com/galaxy_note...note_3_in_north_america_and_eu-news-10128.php

It's so hard to know unless the annual sales fell below expectations ??

He was talking about the launch, citing the infamous 4.5 million sell in figure.

Sales collapsed shortly after.

There is no other reason.
Same with the decision not to offer the note 5 with 128gb, they weren't selling.

I just don't understand not offering 128 gb. The note is definitely geared toward productivity and with 4k recording it seems like a gross misstep. The titanium color in the mkbhd vid does look really nice. I'm surprised he has it at a wait and see though. He seemed pessimistic about battery life and no more sd. And how slippery he thought it was, borderline a deal breaker for him.

On the Samsung website it still shows £559 for the 32GB model. That sucks.
BUT I just checked out prices on giffgaff, who offer some pretty awesome SIM-only deals, and they're selling it for £449, and even better, the Edge for £499. I hope that they put a decent price tag on the Edge+.

a better place
The S6 hasn't comedown as much as edge here. S6 is around €650-670 now compared to the €699 launch price.

The S6edge 32gb is around €750-769 from its €849 launch price here.
(Although 32gb is not available unless you buy from expansys/ clove here. 64gb was only size available here retail wise which meant €949 outright)

I would therefore expect the + to be €899-949 for 32gb and €999-1049 for 64gb.

Given the 64gb S6 edge cost me €949 and now sells for around €839-849 .

You get what you like when you play with them. I was in the supermarket yesterday and they have a little mobile phone store, the display Note 4 was working and its screen just draws me in, I look at the S6 next to it and it just doesn't do it for me half as much, nope for me it has to be that Note 4 screen as it is just stunning.

I think my Note 4 screen is awful. I dislike the yellow colour and dullness of it. Since most of my on screen time involves a white background it is pretty annoying.

Would have thought the S6 screen would be better.

Will be selling my Note 4 as soon as I get my hands on a Edge plus. However looks like I can only probably get around £270 for it privately as less via used stores. May as well just give it to a relative at that price

£270 is a decent price! It's not Apple and new you can get them for around £400 at present, and no in my eyes the Note 4 screen is perfect.
