Can't wait to get my mitts on it.Yup, I got mine for Wednesday too, though mine says by end of day. Just 2 more days.
Sounds like it's clear the plus is killing it in Europe that's only reason why they would do thisA Note loving friend of mine is pretty miffed Samsung aren't making the Note 5 available in the UK any time soon. I know phablets aren't massively popular here but they could at least give consumers the option. Looks like the iPhone 6 Plus we reap the rewards on this one which I don't think is necessarily a good thing personally. It's good to have a level of choice and I don't understand the marketing angle here.
Lucky man.I just got tracking info on my Note 5...delivery on wednesday by 6PM
Received my note 5 at 9 am this morning.
nice, what do you think and can you give us a mini review?
I hope so, all the talk about it being a big upgrade. We'll see, I initially would like to know about carrier bloat at least and what is not removable without rooting.
I think it will be a huge upgrade over the Note 4. I think performance .......camera. Speed and responsiveness will all get a boost. Then there is the look and feel and build materials. All upgrades over the Note 4I know in this thread they were talking about a Play Store app that removed stuff but I forgot the name. Yeah, If I can debloat w/o rooting, I might try that out for a bit to see how it is and figure out if I need to root or not. I usually root but with Samsung Pay, I might not if I think it's useful.
Big upgrade or not is just matter of opinion. For me it is a big enough upgrade since Samsung takes forever to upgrade the ROM on previous devices to match the newly released phones. Of course, that is one of the reasons why I'm upgrading.

Package Disabler.

It's a paid app and it's worth the price. The developer has to pay for Knox security support that enables you to do this.

Ah so that's why it only works on samsung phones, cool.
My do. By being officially Knox friendly it allows the app to disable services that normally could not be done.
Couple of tips. You can 'auto-debloat' but it will actually disable some apps you may want, so I would suggest using the auto debloat (that way you know it's only debloating safe apps) and then re-check the ticked apps and untick the apps you may actually want to keep. Then apply
Be careful not to disable things left right and centre as you could end up causing system instability or creating a boot loop, and using it can prevent your device receiving OTA updates but you can always just go back into the app and revert.
I'll prolly buy one if root is available but there is no root on any locked bootloader 5.1.1 device as of today
Nexus phones are always root able. Always....it's a developer device. You mean for Samsung phones only ? My Nexus 6 is rooted, running the latest 5.1.1
I'm jealous of all the folks that were able to pre-order and getting them sometime before this Fri. I won't be able to get my hands on one until Fri since I'm on T-Mo.

I was talking about all Samsung locked devices that have a kernel build date after March.they patched the only root exploit and hard locked the phones to not be able to downgrade firmware to where root was available.
Thats why I'm still on 5.02 lol and yes we all know development nexus devices come with unlocked bootloader.even the Verizon galaxy nexus was unlocked and Verizon is super anal about locking devices.they even locked out service mode.
