Yeah...don't understand the reasons behind that. But I would but that much storage anyway. I always stick to the 64GB variants. But i can see why some would want it. But isn't the best selling iphone the 16GB?

I think so but the people that are upset about the loss of storage aren't the ones buying 16GB phones. If you only need <64GB, I'm right there with ya--no reason to bitch about the change. But those who use vast amounts of storage are the one's upset with this change and I can understand why.

Just got Note 5 and starting to get it setup. So far so good. Its so fast.....
It passed my iphone test. So far only 3 phone have passed my iphone test. The HTC One (7 and 8) Galaxy S6 and now the Note 5.
The test is to pickup the phone and see how it feels in my hand getting a feel for the build and fit and finish and how it feels holding it. Then pickup my iphone and see how it compares.

I post more thoughts after I get it setup some more.

Even I'm a little jealous---love getting new toys to play with. Enjoy!!

Nice. Mine's still on the truck somewhere.

not scientific or a real use case, just thought it was interesting

This was exactly the same results with the S6 & S6 Edge. Boots apps quickly and quicker than other devices but has to reload / refresh more second time which results in a device being in practice slower overall. They haven't fixed it with the S6 & S6 edge and if the extra 1gb still hasn't resolved this then I am doubtful it will ever be fixed.

That is the exact reload problem everyone is talking about =/

hopefully software updates fix it, but I am not holding my breath. I am curious just how many apps will stay stored though. I'll know tomorrow.

Let us know when you get yours. I just don't understand how they have added an extra 1gb over the S6/S6E and yet this is still happening ?

It's frustrating because for me it's the one major flaw in an otherwise beautiful designed hardware and aesthetically pleasing devices.

It could be samsung even thinking this just works better. Where the iPhone is 100% b.c of the RAM, this is 100% the software

Now that truly puts me off!

Why did Samsung make TW so aggressive at RAM Managemen!??? That seems to be worse than what happens on the Note 4.

4GB RAM and these idiots still continue with the aggressive RAM Management.

Very poor. Amazing how the G4 clawed back victory, simply due to Samsung's stupid RAM management.
I imagine even average users who play games like Angry Birds, Clash Of Clans, Game Of War etc... Will get annoyed as their expensive phone can't keep a Web Browser, a Game, social media app, and a clock in memory together.

In 4.4.4 KitKat the Note 4 multitasked like a beast, I kept at least 7 to 8 apps in RAM, and now with Lollipop I noticed that I can keep at most 5, and if I am lucky 6.

I am a customer, I don't care for sales figures. Yes, the 16GB is the best selling, but I'd hope we don't get to a point where it is just the 16GB available.

Congrats. I am looking forward to your findings. How is the new SPen and have Samsung improved their Web Browser (Internet app)?

Can't speak for iphone 6 users but the 2gb of ram on the air 2 has made things far smoother in terms of multitasking on this. Guessing it makes a difference

Black. 32 because 64 won't be available in tmobile stores near me. If it's not enough storage I'll jump to the 64 gb down the round.

4 seconds overall truly puts you off? How fast paced of a life do you lead?

I honestly don't know how anyone is going to manage. This is truly unfathomable!
Are you serious or joking?

There was a four second difference, in a situation in which severs apps where started, exited, and reentered. Give me some real world situations where that exact thing happens. Go ahead, I'll wait.

If you succeed.... Then I'll give it to you. That's four seconds you can never get back.

Bottom line is the software needs to be optimized further....but in everyday activity of opening an app, nothing is faster than the note 5.

The software can be optimized, can the processor be swapped?

32GB black on Verizon.

I didn't make it to the t-mobile store but some folks are getting the Note 5 now so they can chime in about their impressions.

I own an Air 2 and the iPhone 6 and it is a big difference in multi-tasking b.c of the RAM.
