Lol, anyone who goes to the gym knows someone like this :D

I'm the opposite. I have bad knees from tennis and baseball (catching) all through high school and college so I only do my legs. Really just use a bike b.c it makes them feel better. My upper body stays the same not matter what I do, so F that!

Yeah i'm the guy who is at the gym 4 nights a week, does a stack of classes and whilst at the right weight never seems to get that athletic body all the exercise should equal. I am very flexible from 10 years of yoga - so I'm also the weirdo who who will be most likely upside down standing on his head or with his legs wrapped behind his shoulders :D

Yeah that me besides for the flexibility. I can put on muscle though. So I'm the guy who has to buy new clothes each year to fit the gains.

Hopefully that slows down, I hate shopping.

I have been 5'11" 155 for about 10 years. I eat like trash and somehow still maintain the same build. I know one day I will have to work at it, but for now my friends hate me.

I'm the guy who loses weight with ease..9 pounds in two weeks after hoilday. Time to back to gaining again

Agghhhh .... not fair.

I think we best not derail much further otherwise I'm going to be physically sick with the envy brewing inside me ;)

I'm the guy that helps keep the universe in balance being exact opposite of both of you. :p

Hey I'm going to be training to be a personal trainer. .I need to be like this ha

Well that's different .... Your going to be one of the 'tormentors' of us regular folk. Screaming at us to lock our cores whilst giving us ghastly abs workouts that never seem to bring the elusive 6 pack :D Screaming at us just another 30 seconds and making the countdown from 10-1 seem like a millennia .....

I used to be the guy who couldn't gain...then all of the sudden I could.

I can pretty much eat what I want, but I do have to cut it back a bit to loose weight...but loosing weight comes pretty easy.

It's a nice place to be in for now, being able to gain and loose weight when I want. I'll enjoy it while it last, I am sure it won't last when I get into my 30s.

HA! Thats me too..... I am 54 and can still bench 365lbs deadlift 515 and leg press over 600lbs and still only weigh 205.
I ran a local 5k race and came in the top 5% for my age group.
I used to do a lot of power lifting but my body just won't let me do that anymore at my age.

He ends with saying it used to be like a mainframe in your pocket, now it is just a great phone. It is more powerful than it has every been so I don't get that line

I am still reading the review, in between other things, so I am going a bit slow.

But I did read that line, before starting the review.

I can understand the complaint, but I don't necessarily think it is fair. The next iPhone will get a 9+ from the Verge, because it is The Verge. It won't get complaints for how expensive it is, how its just a bigger version of its sibling, etc. The complain arises from the Notes legacy, but that doesn't make it fair.

Go ahead and pull up the 6+ review from last fall and compare--I don't think they're too far off on either. The ratings I find flawed are giving the iPhone camera a 10 and the Note a 9 (should be switched) and while the iPhone display is good, it's not the best anymore and should also be a 9. Otherwise, I think the ratings are fairly spot on in both reviews. I agree regarding the final comments not really making sense or fitting the evaluation of the device.

And have you guys actually paid closer attention to the Verge's commentary over the past year, specifically regarding Apple? They have ripped them apart in regards to Apple Music and the Apple Watch and are quite critical about the limitations of the iPhone (at least on the podcast). I don't consider the Verge to be a top notch tech site but I dont think the 'iVerge' label is accurate at this point either.

I don't disagree...they are not imore or someplace like that.

I haven't paid a lot of attention over the last year, so I haven't notice that, and will take your word for it :).

I agree, the review is spot on, and if he made the changes you mentioned above, it would score the iphone and note 5 on a similar level.

I think the note 5 is far more advanced hardware wise..so the true comparison will happen in about a month.

I agree they have been getting better. In the comments one of the moderators was being particularly reasonable.

The cons in the review are a bit wierd (or the 6plus should be knocked as expensive too), something like the ram management issue should be in there.

Have they ever given the iPhone bad marks for being expensive and no SD expansion??

I think it is valid in this case. That was always an appeal of previous Note phones to some people. It would be like losing NFC. If it is a feature that earned you points, it should be counted against you the first year it is gone. Next year those marks should be removed.
