How so ? The bottom of the phone is easiest to reach one handed, it's more difficult to reach all the way to the very top without shuffling the phone in the hand to reach way up there, all with one hand.
I switch a lot between an Android phone and my IP6 plus. The thing I always notice first after switching to my iphone is the back button. Android just does it so much better. The apps are easier to go back and forth with the back buttons on the bottom.

Top of the screen would be the worst spot to put a back button on a 6 Plus.

Its same spot as the menu / back button in Google Play Newstand. On iPhone 6 Plus I always use reachability to hit that and it makes it much easier to use on the 6 Plus than the iPad Air 2 on that one. But I'm also left handed so it may be easier for me to hit it with reachability than a right handed person though.

Actually on Samsung devices I wish they kept the back button in the same left position as stock android rather than right, because holding in left hand, the back button is a just as much as a stretch for me at times. It's actually also why I wish they would let me move the app drawer icon back to the middle on Samsung devices because it would be easier for me to navigate one/left handed.

For me back button bottom left is my preferred choice.

While not crucial for me, I really like having a consistent way to go back in the same spot. My favorite though is still webos'es gesture area.
Lol...someone besides me remembers Webos! I bought a Webos tablet when HP had their fire sale a while back. Liked but not a daily driver for me. Gave it to my 79 year old mom and she LOVES it!

I bought the Palm Pre & Pre 2 and a HP Touchpad before Firesale !!! I got very burned. But I gave it away to friends and it was only replaced this year because things like GMAIL would no longer work on it - so I replaced it for them with an Android tablet.

WebOS was ahead of its time...sadly didn't have the hardware to get the most out of it.

Huh? Im talking about one handed having at the top is not ideal.

Dude, webos was awesome, I loved it. It was probably my favorite os then. Spent a lot of my time at PreCentral in those days. Really wanted to get the touchpad, but missed out on the firesale. I was able to score a pre3 though. Been boycotting hp since they cancelled it, though it's not like they've made it difficult.

The irony is that the pre3 was actually really good hardwarewise, only bad thing I remember was the camera. But of course it was cancelled shortly before it was to be released, sigh.

Did you happen to see the leaked photos of the next version of webos they were working on before it was cancelled? It looked great, very material design type look years before kitkat. Really wish it had Microsoft who purchased them and just made that Windows phone.

Here's a great article showing what the plans were before being scrapped.

Back on topic. People that had the Nexus 6 previously, how would you honestly compare the new Note 5 ?

Could only keep one phone, Nexus 6 or Note 5 ?

Sorry, webos just brings up the feels in me.

As for your question, the nexus 6 was too big for me, at the time I had gone from Moto X 2013 to Nexus 5, to HTC One M8 GPE, then I got the 6 but only lasted like a day, it was just too wide so I returned it for the Note 4, and stuck with that. So if I chose the Note 4 over the Nexus 6, I would definitely chose the Note 5 over it.

If TouchWiz is a major concern for you, maybe you should wait for the Moto X style? Near stock android, 5.7" screen like the Note, same battery, better soc than the nexus, much better camera than the nexus (did you see the picture the verge posted taken from the Moto x? very impressive) and half the price of the Note.

Here's the article;

Yeah that's already been shot down over on XDA. It's a nice wish, but nothing more unfortunately.

Realised today that none of the carriers here are offering the S6 Edge +

Whe you consider each of them offered the Note 4, how much of a mistake it was not releasing the Note 5.
Yeah I've read nothing. .wtf is that about?

Essentially someone spotted the N920F references and assumed that it was coming to Europe when in actual fact its just samsung using the F to launch in areas that were also previously European coded 'F' like Russia etc... Essentially its people jumping the gun and reading too much into a model code.

They put two and two together, and worked out it to be 46 ... They then predicted an August 28th release which is just silliness and is going to look ridiculous in retrospect by Saturday.

Sadly Samsung have already confirmed a couple times now it's not coming and has no plans on releasing it to Europe. They haven't even rolled out S6 Edge + yet (launches officially around September 3rd) ....

I find the "swipe back and forth" to be awesome on iOS. Better than a physical back button.

A few quick observations after almost 24 hrs

- The phone is quick!! (I've owned or still have the Note 2/3/4 ; Nexus 6 ; iP6+ ; S6 Edge ; G3/G4 ; M8/M9 ; and more that would be dinosaurs today )

And, the Note 5 is as quick as the Nexus 6 ! (Running Android M DP on Nexus 6) and zero lag (to me)

- The screen is brighter than the Note 4 (which was super bright to begin with), and makes the Nexus 6 and G4 screen look silly, in daylight.

- Volume is better [ perhaps due to the 1.2W speaker + placement ] as in louder and clearer. The Nexus 6 speakers trounce this, nonetheless!

- Music sounds FREAKING awesome thru my :
(A) JayBird X
(B) OEM Samsung headset
(C) V-Moda M100s
(D) Sennheiser 650s w/Amp

Way better than any previous device, Android or iOS or Windows or Symbian etc.. Music lovers will love the SQ thru headsets!

- Build quality is great, though I also really liked the feel on the Note 3 and 4 just fine.

- Camera : Haven't had a chance to test this yet

- Battery : Like I said in an earlier post, I bough 2 Note 5s and battery is a bit disappointing ATM (SOT 3 - 3.5 hrs /Auto brightness/ BT off / Location On / Nova launcher / Email set to Push on 4 accounts / Facebook and Twitter, Yes / WiFi On, Wifi calling, Off / Download Booster, Yes / Smart Stay, On ) I get great LTE everywhere I go locally.

However, both have only had one full charge each, so it may be a bit pre-mature to comment on the battery aspect.

Neither N5s heat up or slow down or have crashed yet (again, too soon... but still )

Battery charges quick. Interestingly, both N5s connected to fast adapters and the White N5 charges at least 10-20% quicker than the Black one! I tested this with the devices powered off and on!

- Call Quality is amazing, just like on previous Notes

- I find the touch response better compared to the Note 4. Could be a placebo, but one of my Note 4s' is 3 weeks old and both devices [ The Note 4 and 5 ] have the same exact settings/apps etc..

Found this thread on XDA : http://forum.xda-developers.com/note5/general/guide-bloating-touchwizzing-note-5-t3184563

Bought that app, and did some de-bloating today. Hopefully, this will improve the SOT.

That's all for now!

What is the source for the music you are listening to, a music service or music you downloaded to the Note 5, and what type of music do you listen to?

Another thumbs up about the Jaybird X on this thread, I guess I should have bought that instead of the Jaybird Freedom Sprint.

Even for 3rd September launch why is there no pre order for edge plus?

As soon as iphone is announced you will be able to pre order on all carriers
