unless the tip of that s-pen is made from a metal pick I think you'll be ok.
As a cintiq user and a wacom stylus for nearly 18 years using one every day (it's my primary work tool) it doesn't take metal stylus for it to scratch a display. It takes just friction. If you draw or illustrate on the device and are spending extended time with the stylus - especially when doing things like cross hatching the constant quick repetitious strokes can cause havoc as you create a lot of surface friction.

I imagine i will have to replace my screen protector regularly, i did with the Note 3 & 4 and likewise I'm on the 2nd tempered protector on my iPad Pro 12.9 and it has faint micro scratches ....

You'd be surprised! My Nintendo DS / 3DS's over the years all had marks on them from the stylus. I know they're not exactly comparable surfaces (glass screen and the DS Screen), but nonetheless it's worth considering for us who baby our phones to begin with!

Yeah the S2 is a good watch to have. Not much choice in apps but battery life is great and i like the always on display for notifications. fitness wise is better than the apple watch

my iphone lags at times. All phones do.

Difference is samsung phones have more power and certain things like widgets can slow a device down but generally the s7 edge is very smooth.

It doesn't surprise me an apple fan site would pick out faults in the note 7. It's almost expected

Glad to hear this about the gear. One of my worries is losing my Apple Watch. I will probably keep it in case I switch back next year. Lol

I have thought about selling it to fund my note 7. I would get about £600 back if i sell my iphone and watch. Not sure yet. If I get the iphone next year I could always buy the next verison ha

my kids DS's are a mess, but having said that, you really only see the scratches when the display is off and in good light.

None. Just my opinion.

While I have seen the scratch test video for the note 7 by jerryrig
,I also see very little scientific validity in worrying about a loose test done with a sample size of n=1

I'd put more credence in controlled lab data. Having said that, I really don't sweat this stuff as much as others. It's a thing. No more, no less.

I don't disagree, but it's pretty easy to see the screen being scratched. Short of saying it's fraud it's r ight there in front of your eyes. I'm one of the ones who doesn't sweat this stuff at all, I've got a note 5 with a year of very abusive use completely naked. But seeing that test really concerns me.

Really wish my partner was as bothered about tech as I was so he'd also get a Note.
More so for the filthy Draw Something creations we could conjure up. :p

Before we bought our house at the start of the year we both had iPad's we used to play it, so drawing on the big screen with your finger was easier. With a note, we'd have some absolute masterpieces with the S-Pen! Instead he couldn't care less that I'm changing my phone (again)! o_O
No chance of converting him from his iPhone!

how you finding always on display? are there more options now?

Yes, mainly with adding color to some clocks. You can choose from a palette of colors.

The black Note 7 is absolutely beautiful!
But I would be in some kind of dilemma if would own one: with a case and screen protector it wouldn't be as beautiful, but without probably not that beautiful for long.

Enter my (not so original ) case philosophy from several pages back. Just throw it in a case when you feel it's at risk. When it's safe and secure. Go wild and free and naked. The phone I mean...lol

When mine arrive I'll post feedback on which I like, which are useless .... Hopefully I have more success with them than on the S7 edge. And hopefully the Gear VR 2 won't cause an issue with them as it did with the S7e and Gear VR.

What about those liquid screen protectors out now?

Seems seamless too.

Question to those who swap devices often.

Do you use the new SIM card that comes with the device or just use your current active sim?
