I know it's still early but....considering how great the S7 is. I can't wait for the Note 6!

Some rumors have said an early release in July?
http://www.sammobile.com/2016/03/22...red-to-arrive-in-july-with-android-n-onboard/

Rumors so far suggest
Display to be 5.8 slim bezels
32GB UFS 2.0 internal storage,
two different SoCs Snapdragon and Exynos
12-megapixel rear camera with Super OIS and same great low light camera as the S7 line.
SD Card
Wireless charging
Waterproofing (IP68 Certified)

What did I miss?

Only way I get a Note 6 which will actually be called the Note 7 are

#1. USB Type C Port my Note 5 charging port has died and often happens with Micro USB
#2. Snapdragon CPU a level above what the Galaxy S7 ships with
#3. Dual or Quad Speakers
#4. aptx HD compatible

Guess will see on this but reason why 6GB of ram will be in the note 6/7 will be due to the 2K display it will come with

Will see I guess

But 2k is same on the S7/S7e. The Note 6/7 really shouldn't need to jump to 6gb unless the software on the device itself has become 'heavier'.

I am not sure that JUST because the N7 could have 6GB of ram it means TW has become somehow heavier. Android phones makers typically try to out do each other. Similar to the spec wars in the PC arena. ZTE Axom is rumored to have a 6GB/128 model coming in a month as well.
I think rumors are that TW is going to be slimmer than previous version as it evolves. I really hope it doesn't take a step backwards.
But I think having 6GB of ram is a spec one upmanship and for bragging rights. Then Samsung makes that new ram chip and putting it in their note flagship kinda makes sense from a marketing standpoint.

Although I prefer pure Android, I find TouchWiz quite nice.

If I could have a say in an upcoming Note, I'd be thrilled with a 6.0" display and capacitive buttons. :D

I agree don't think it will be heavier either and it will be just spec whoring - rather than for actual 'need'. (No actual real need). That's what I meant by I don't see the need of 6gb if as I was quoted Epicryban said was "because it was 2k" given s7/S7e were likewise 2k unless TW was suddenly heavier. That doesn't mean I think it will be heavier.

I might be wrong, but I think he meant 4K. Even so, screen resolution takes very little RAM. I don't think an extra 2GB is really necessary just for 4K.

I believe that as well. I think it's gonna be just like the S line. Edge and standard versions. I also remember reading the standard versions will slowly be phased out in the coming years.
Think the the iphone 8 going edge to edge display I think edge displays will become the norm.

If the next iPhone is "meh" and it's looking more likely, I'll be switching to the Note 7. The last Android phone I owned was a Note 3 before I switched to the iPhone 6 Plus and it was a tank!

Just as long as they don't fob Europe off with just the Edge version this time.

You know what else doesn't make sense? Calling it the Note 7. Samsung are somewhat on a roll with the whole nonsense thing.

That actually makes a lot of sense since this is competing directly with the iphone 7. Yeah it's just marketing, but consumers would probably think of the Note 6 as a generation behind the iphone 7. Plus they want to catch up with the S7.

I'd rather not have the edge, it's just a gimmick and messes up functionality. Let my Note 7 be the business class phone the Note series is famous for.

The Note 7 will have the following features:

- 6gb of RAM. VR games are RAM hungry
- USB-C for faster data transfer from phone to VR. Less latency is the key for better VR experience.
- 2K screen to keep battery life high and costs down. The new Gear VR will handle the video on its own. No need for 4k on a screen the size of the Note this year.

What about battery size ? Rumors have been all over the board, from 3,700mAh to 4,000mAh/4,200mAh !!! I would guess at least a bit more than the S7 Edge's 3,600mAh

4,000 seems to be what it will be

He interesting if storage wise it does offer 256GB that plus SD card support? Damn
