I believe someone in a previous thread mentioned Google photos as an excellent (and crossplatform) backup solution. What do u have against Google photos?

I use Google photos as well (used to use icloud photo library)..i love Google photos it's fast reliable and he some great features and of course best of all its cross platformIt was me. I use it across all my devices. I use high quality storage as I have 200gb with Google, but I've set it up on other users phones and computers as a very cheap (free for most) way of backing up your photos and having access from anywhere you can log into it. Web/Phone/Tablet etc. Compared to Apple photos backup it's vastly superior all round.
Anyone getting very bad lag scrolling in the app drawer? I have Nova launcher so maybe the culprit is Nova. When I scroll up or down it's very noticeable lag, and also if I let it sit it will force jump me back to the top of the list.
It's just a small card, but I dont think stock android has used the full screen album art since jelly bean.

Q. Your capacitive recent and back button stay lit. Where is that option in settings ? Mine only light up on my S7 when I use them or first wake the device. I know there must be an option somewhere but can't find it.For those wondering about lag, not really seeing any other than occasionally scrolling while it's loading.
Glad you found a solution.Q. Your capacitive recent and back button stay lit. Where is that option in settings ? Mine only light up on my S7 when I use them or first wake the device. I know there must be an option somewhere but can't find it.
Edit. Seems to be dependent on your rom. I downloaded galaxy button lights 2 from the app store and can change it from default 1.5 seconds to longer or always on now![]()
Glad you found a solution.
For mine it's under the display options in settings, I always find it weird how certain roms get certain features and others don't. My T-Mobile version didn't have that option either.

Weird, my Verizon one doesn't have the option for keeping the cap buttons on, I miss that as I hate when they turn off.

I mentioned it as well. I'm on mostly Apple hardware and I still use Google Photos since it's cross platform. Recommend it to anyone as first option for a good photo cloud/backup solution.
Thankfully Google+ being officially separated from Google Photos now will mean that kind of thing will never happen again.I had a bad experience with them. I had some personal pictures on my phone, no not pr0n. I didn't realize somewhere along the line I had enabled google photo backup. I never use Google+ or any google social service, so a couple of years later I log on and realize all my uploaded pictures defaulted to public view. Not good at all. Google just seems all too willing to take things unless you specifically opt out, like facebook.

Really ? Jeepers. That's mad. Thankfully I got rid of my Google+Well my "years later" was today, lol. So somehow google photos and google+ are still connected. I deleted all the pics as they were a couple of years old and I have them backed up to OneDrive anyway.
Thank you for the pictures. Yea it looks a heck of a lot better.A little different, but mostly the same. Keep in mind, this is with the free material design theme installed.

I have both and they're about the same, don't really notice a difference. The note does seem a Hair faster to me, but it might just be new phone placebo.Samsung S7 user here, from what ive read it seems the Note 7 is a fair bit laggier then the S7. My S7 is relatively lag free, are there any users that have upgraded from a S7 to the N7 that can comment?
Fair enough, the fact they run the exact same processor leads me to believe the Note 7 with its larger screen would have to run a little slower but i guess TW optimisations could make up for that.I have both and they're about the same, don't really notice a difference. Resolutions are the same though, so size of display won't effect performance at all.Fair enough, the fact they run the exact same processor leads me to believe the Note 7 with its larger screen would have to run a little slower but i guess TW optimisations could make up for that.
screen size wouldn't make any difference. They are both 1440p QHD screens so are pushing the same pixels.Fair enough, the fact they run the exact same processor leads me to believe the Note 7 with its larger screen would have to run a little slower but i guess TW optimisations could make up for that.
