So I got my package, and immediately thought something was wrong because the box didn't feel like there was 2 phones in it. Sure enough, only one phone. Got the silver one. So now gonna be another 2 weeks for my black one. Geez, my carrier sucks with delivery times. They should be sending this priority for screwing up my order to begin with. With that small rant out of the way, this thing is absolutely gorgeous. Didn't think I'd like Silver this much, I can see why it's Flossy's favorite color. Honestly, it looks like it belongs on the bridge of a starship. My oh my oh my OH MY! DANG!

All models are a marvel to look at, but the Black Onyx just does it for me... Especially with AOD.

When it first launched AT&T Stores had Silver only models.. I thought real hard about just grabbing the Silver model, I had even checked it out before I concluded that I just couldn't do it. I just had my mind set up on the Black Onyx model.. hard to shake loose.

It doesn't hurt that large percentage of unbox vids was the Black Onyx which I think played a part in deciding which model I went with. But enjoy your Note7.. it's a beauty.

Easyhome worked well for me on the S7 Edge, but I uninstalled it eventually. Found it would randomly disable itself, even with power saving mode disabled.

Oh I got the black one on the way for myself. Just my luck that it was the black one they missed in the shipment. This silver one is for the youngin'. Haven't seen a black one in person yet, but I love the stealthy look from the video reviews.

Yeah they have to do an serious overhaul on Touchwiz before i decide to give a Samsung device another try.
I haven't taken my sim out of the 6S plus.
My old 6s+ got much better battery life than the Note 5. I haven't had the Note 7 long enough to really see how it is, but so far it's a bit worse than the Note 5. I'm hoping it just needs to be broken in. On Android I've found that runaway apps can frequently eat up the battery.
[doublepost=1472136185][/doublepost]What I don't understand is the iPhone users saying Android phones are too hard to set up, they had to customize the theme, etc. Really? Just use it as is out of the box, exactly the same as your iPhone. Everything is already set up and if you do not want to customize then you don't need to. I'd MUCH rather have the choice to customize my phone versus having the same exact phone as the guy next to me and everyone else, way too boring for me. But if someone wants boring, that's available out of the box.
I agree. You don't have to do anything to your android phone you can just use it out of the box. I customise my android phones but I've never flashed a custom rom and I have no plans to.

Welp crew I tried to give the Note 7 a go but its back at the AT&T store and my sim is popped right back in my 6S+ and I am satisfied again. I try to give Samsung a try year after year but I just really hate Touchwiz and the altering you have to do to get a Samsung device running up to par. iPhone is set it and forget it. I shouldn't have to turn this off and turn this down when Im paying full retail for these devices. No way.
See, I bought it because I CAN turn things on and off. It takes a considerable investment of time to learn my way around and figure out what I want to do with it. But the more time no spend with this device, the more astounded I become at what I can make it do. Meanwhile I can still text and call and take pictures and listen to music on it as easily as on an iPhone.

I hope everyone here also bought some fresh microfiber cloths with this phone! Every time I take it out the case I'm like damn these fingerprints. Then I wipe it down and I'm like damn it's gorgeous! Written from my Black beauty.

I am a bigger fan of AL3 myself too.
Just jumped on the action launcher train yesterday! Loving it. My one complaint is that the quick drawer doesn't respond to touch like Google now launcher. What I mean is that it won't swipe back to the home screen while it's still scrolling through the list. The apps have to be stopped completely before I can get it to take my input.

I have tried that double tap for camera and its awesome, so quick.
Wish apple had something like that and always on display.

The haptic engine on iPhone is perfect as a feedback mechanism.

iOS 10 you can swipe left on the lock screen and launch the camera.

FWIW, touchwiz is way more than a launcher or a look for Samsung phones. It's the underlying framework. It's what they use to build upon Android... but it's also the bits of Samsung phones that give them the tendency to lag, hiccup, and have RAM management issues. Remove touchwiz (the framework, not the launcher) and most phones (i.e. Nexus phones) run 100% better (obviously not possible on a Samsung phone but you get what I'm saying). Yes, touchwiz has been toned down a lot but it still is the main reason not all people can put up with Samsung phones.

So just saying... use another launcher! is not enough to get rid of touchwiz because touchwiz isn't just a launcher.

Exactly this!!!!!! yea you can change the launcher but your underlying issues are still there.

Sure, but double tap on the home button is a more surefire, intuitive and quick way to do it. Actually it's one of the things I really look forward to a lot with the Note 7 I've ordered. I was just on holiday and it did happen more than a few times that I'd fail the swipe to get to the camera, and so I missed a few great shots I tried to take on the fly. Granted I still use OS9 so I have to swipe up and in the right place, but press + swipe is still in general more failure prone than double tap.

I don't actually use the quick drawer. What I do is using the shortcuts section, I make the left most homescreen as the google app, so when I go left on the homescreen it brings up google now pane like it would on the google now launcher.

Went into the Samsung store this evening at the Trafford Centre (for America's, think "big mall" ha).

I like their stores. They had loads of accessories for the Note 7 and they were on 3 for 2 too, which is pretty good.

Had another play with the Note 7 and finally got to see it in black. I have to say, I didn't realise how fond I was of the blue until I saw the black in person. Black is real nice, but I do like the blue a lot! Plus it's different!

One thing I am having reservations on is whether or not I want to sell my Priv. I really do love it and worry that I won't get on with Note as much. Just typing on it now, it's easily one of my favourite ever phones. Even with all of its flaws.

Do you need to sell your Priv if you got the Note 7 or to get the Note 7 ? It's likely not worth a considerable amount now on resale so maybe keep it ?

@jamezr the Priv does definitely meet my needs, yes.
There are sacrifices (as with any mobile device) and with that it's the camera, (its not bad, but it's terribly slow even after several updates) but it makes up for it in design which I think is amazing still and obviously, that keypad.

The Note is the first Samsung that's made me sit up and pay attention. I know I'd like the device, but how long til I yearned for the BlackBerry again!?

And re do I need to sell it for the Note 7 cost? No. But I just don't see the point in using 2 devices and swapping between. Especially with WhatsApp which is my most used app. I can't justify 2 devices.

I don't know why I'm suddenly having doubts. Haha. Im still so excited for the Note, I just didn't realise how attached I was to my Priv I guess.

Is there anyway to keep the Priv while you give the Note 7 a test drive so to speak?
I kinda did this with the iPhone 6s+ and OnePlus 3......and Note 7...except now they all must share time as my daily driver as I can't choose between them!

Oh wow haha and I thought I had tech struggles!
Yeah that is an option and I will definitely be keeping my Priv to make a choice.

I could keep both I guess, but like I say it's just difficult to swap between with WhatsApp. That's the main problem.

I think the reason I wanted to invest in the Note was purely because it doesn't really do anything badly, which is a rare thing in mobile devices. Great camera, build quality, the pen opening new possibilities to communicate (and let's be honest, be filthy with d*ck drawings haha) and cutting edge tech.

It seems like the phone to go for if you want to get a great overall mobile experience.

Kinda janky, but they do sell a keyboard case for the Note.

Plus you got the spen, and alot of BlackBerry apps are now available on the play store and can be installed on the Note.

Yup, that's how it begins. Hmm I'll try this phone to see if i like it, so i wont be selling my old one just yet........hmm really like the new one, but my old one also does this other thing, let me switch back and see if I prefer that........hmmm I really like my old phone, but I miss this feature of the new one, I should probably switch back again before my return window closes.......hmmm my return window has closed and i still have both devices, I guess I can use both, I just use this one during these situations and the other in these other situations, plus it would be nice to have a backup incase one breaks.....hmmmm another phone is released..........
