Not experiencing any lag whatsoever besides when I receive a message and it overlays on my screen. I intend to go through with package Disabler this weekend and clean house
I came from a 6s. It's definitely a size adjustment. I switched back and forth between the 6s and the 6s plus a bunch of times because of the size. But with this phone I am doing ok. At least this phone justifies its size with features that take advantage of the screen real estate.for those comming from a iPhone 6S (so not the Plus), is/was it hard to hard to adjust to the Note 7 size?

As someone mentioned a post or two ago... One handed mode works great for me. Much better than reachability. So yes the size difference is noticeable but not a deal breaker when your consider all that you get.
It's also narrower, lighter and shorter than the plus so that helps a lot.
No problem. I still don't consider it a one handed device if that's what you are looking for. But when I need to use it one handed it actually works out better for me than the 6s because of one handed mode.thanks for your feedback, I think I might give it a try as soon as the Note 7 will be available here in The Netherlands.
Glad your enjoying your phone bud. Different strokes for different folks.Welp crew I tried to give the Note 7 a go but its back at the AT&T store and my sim is popped right back in my 6S+ and I am satisfied again. I try to give Samsung a try year after year but I just really hate Touchwiz and the altering you have to do to get a Samsung device running up to par. iPhone is set it and forget it. I shouldn't have to turn this off and turn this down when Im paying full retail for these devices. No way.
Did you give nova launcher a try? Still a lot of setup to do to make the device your own but so much better than TouchWizWelp crew I tried to give the Note 7 a go but its back at the AT&T store and my sim is popped right back in my 6S+ and I am satisfied again. Action launcher is a good option as well. Little different approach than Nova, but i can't seem to switch to anything else. I think it's a small but definitive part of why I love Android, these days.Did you give nova launcher a try? Still a lot of setup to do to make the device your own but so much better than TouchWiz

Rather you hate how MMS are treated, via cell service messaging?Yeah I always use Nova but its a bunch of other small reasons as to why I switched back. I really miss FaceTime and iMessage and hate the way android handles MMS.
OK so I disabled S Health, S Voice and Samsung + and it is significantly smoother now. Try it!

Duo is a, imo, superior alternative to FaceTime. I believe allo will be a great alternative to imessage. But, of course, that requires people you know to use them.
Perfectly understandable. I used to really enjoy imessage, but once I was a way from out long enough, I don't miss it. But I can see why it's a big draw.

But...this jives with 95% of other reviews. Hell, even the verge, which is rare. The Guardian continues it's love affair with all things Samsung

Sounds like you and I are on the exact same wavelength. Popped my SIM back in my 6+ last night and it feels good to be back. At least I tried, but this will probably be the last time I do for a long time.
Wait a min..Yeah they have to do an serious overhaul on Touchwiz before i decide to give a Samsung device another try.
True.Wait a min..
You don't necessarily have to deal with TouchWiz if you don't have to. That's the idea of having plenty of launchers to choose from. Just maybe you were doomed from the start.. having one foot out the door not fully committing to the Note7.
Especially being a longtime iPhone user it'll be awhile to adjust.
Usage /= Screen on Time.
Although the 6S Plus is essentially the phone to beat in regards to battery life as the combination of exceptional standby time and relatively efficient components allows it to outlast devices with much larger battery capacities.
I don't think you will find people complaining and making fun of the 6s plus battery life in this section of the form. The 6s plus gets great battery life. This is largely due to the nature of the software, which is much more power conservative. As such it comes with limitations, such as Spotify can automatically download songs in the background without being opened in the foreground or at least recently. Another issue I always had was with GPS tracking running apps. They had a tendency to close down in the middle of my run. But these are two particular instances, and the overall experience of iOS can still be very goodUnderstood. I just thought that with all the complaining and making fun of iPhone battery life, I was going to see something astronomically better on samsung.
