Are they not on sammobile firmware section yet ?
I haven't checked over there yet. But Sammobile is very slow DL speeds unless you are a paying member.
So it's nice to have them hosted on another site that is faster. Problem is they will not be updated like they are on sammobile.

Yeah that's true, can take a couple of hours to download with free server and sometimes with time out. I had to download the S7 firmware 4 times before it downloaded complete.

Will note 7 firmware will work on my note 5? Meaning will it make the note 5 software like the note 7?

No sorry it will not work on your Note and will make it un-bootable. Please don't use that on your Note 5.
But you can find the right firmware for your model Note 5 at www.sammobile.com

Ok thank you. I have the 6s plus now,I really want to get the note 7 love the way it looks just nervous because of all the lag people are experiencing, maybe I'll just wait a little and hopefully Samsung will fix it with an update.

Have anyone received their 256GB MicroSD Card? How does it perform with the Note7?

I jus received mine... just not sure whether I'm keeping it or not.

Don't listen to the Internet. If you want to try the note 7 then go for it. I experience very little lag. Smooth and fast 90% of the time. Maybe more. I came from a 6S.

I know it may not be that bad but it's very expensive right now. Not sure it's worth to spend so much money on if what a lot of people are saying is true. Also I keep glass screen protector on my iPhone and I love it and so far seems like the ones for the note 7 are not good especially the ones that go around the edges, which is what I would want.

Also the screen on note 7 probably very hard to replace if it cracks.... So would love good glass screen protector that goes around the edges

My best battery stats yet on my s7 edge. I hope my note can come close.

Damn!!

I've never seen that SOT on any of the Androids I've owned lol!!

The best SOT on the Note 7 I've had thus far, 4 hrs 8 mins SOT and the battery threw the towel the next second!

Really? I posted a 6 hour SOT a few days ago. I wonder why there is such a big difference

This. I have no issues with lag! To me, it's about as smooth as my 6S+..or maybe I'm just not that sensitive to fractions of a second.

I'm jealous!.. I'd love to see that SOT (or even close to it) on mine!!

I'd wager cellular signal strength is the likely culprit...can vary so widely depending on location, carrier, etc.

I'm on TMobile and LTE is strong here in Colorado. Gonna keep an eye on the background apps.

I've gotten 6 1/2 hrs on auto brightness. If I manually kept the brightness low, I would probably also see 7hrs.

Note that what you are doing while the screen is on affects SOT, watching video will show better SOT results vs web browsing.. At least in my experience.

I thought Samsung phones SOT would be a lot greater than this. Didn't they have a whole ad campaign making fun of iPhone's battery life? I can easily get 9-10 hours with my iPhone 6S plus. Am I missing something here?

I know it's shocking. The most I've ever got out of an android phone is 4 hours SOT. The edge is a beast.

Usage /= Screen on Time.

Although the 6S Plus is essentially the phone to beat in regards to battery life as the combination of exceptional standby time and relatively efficient components allows it to outlast devices with much larger battery capacities.

for those comming from a iPhone 6S (so not the Plus), is/was it hard to hard to adjust to the Note 7 size?
I ditched my 6S Plus for an SE as my daily driver I'm so picky about favoring smallness and even I have left my SE back in favor of toting the N7 around the last couple of days. It's in a fuzzy zipper case with a lanyard around my wrist. It is light so I don't feel as bothered carrying it that way as I did with a heavy 6S Plus.

It's weird...it LOOKS huge like my 6S Plus. But when I hold and use the N7, it feels nice in the hand like an IPhone 6 does. Carrying it in pockets is still not easy for me to do. I'm a petite female and dealing with small pants pockets means I will continue to stick to the SE as my daily driver phone and texting device most of the time.

There's a one-handed mode that I have not tried yet. But it looks way more sensible in the demos I've seen of it than that weird implementation that Apple went with for the Pluses.
