I discovered now the first scratch on my 2 days old note 7, i am very angry.
I only used it with the s view case and never put it naked in my pocket because i heard from the bad Gorilla Glas 5.
My S7 Edge which i use also without a screen protector and only with a leather case has no single scratch on the screen since half a year.

Eek, not good. Sorry to hear that.

Not using a protector on these high dollar phones is a horrible idea. Not just because of scratches either, a tempered glass has saved a couple screen breaks for me

Oh goodness. It appears to have been withdrawn from three and carphonewarehouse websites here. Looks like I wont be getting my order anytime soon.

Yeah but thats the problem with edge displays, there is no good tempered glass for them. I had orderd the original screen protectors from samsung and messed up with both of them.

Ouch, that sucks. Guess its better knowing when you do get it, it will be corrected. This launch has been kind of a cluster**** for Samsung. Great device, but tons of problems.

Having one that protects most of the screen is better than not having one at all

Yeah it's just so surprising after the S7 & S7e went so well. I will be ringing vodafone tomorrow to see if there is any update.

With a flashlight i discovered more very small scratches and they are all in the area from the s view window, so don't buy it.

If there is a recall, perhaps you will get a new phone and clear screen. I'm trying to find a silver lining in an otherwise unfortunate event.

This is what I'm hoping for too as I have a very light but noticeable when the screen is off scratch on my phone

Thankfully i don't have any scratches on the front *knocks on wood*, but honestly if I have to look under light at an angle to see them, they dont bother me too much. My iphone has a ton of those scratches. However, it really bothers me if they leave a rainbow pattern on the screen.

My preorder note 7 arrived today. It's UK direct from Samsung. Nice presentation and it looks fantastic. Just had a quick play but it is a great device. Apparently I was number 95 of the first 1000!
Wow 95!! How do you find that out?

Hoping to get my hands on mine tomorrow evening!!!

Hands? Might want to use fireproof gloves instead. Wait is this why they included the iris scanner?? ;)

I keed, I keed. Ah this one will burn for a while.

Well.. Amid all the recalls and whatnot that's happening... I picked up a Coral Blue Note 7 this morning.

Phone has been running super smooth, I've just seen VERY few... Actually if any... stuttering here and there but honestly nothing to bother me to that level. And I'm one of those people who are bothered by any stuttering especially since I don't notice any on my iPhone 6S.

Had a question for those who've made the switch.

1) What email app are you all using?
- I love the default Mail app iOS provides to use for my Gmail and Exchange account. I'm trying out "CloudMagic", so far works great but wanted to hear others opinions.

2) Any optimizations I should make to avoid "lag/stuttering" in the coming days?
- I've been through most of the settings and disabled unneeded bloat ware as I have the AT&T model, but wanted to make sure I haven't missed anything.

Thanks!

Cloud magic is awesome, I love how you just sign in with your cm account on any device and it adds all your email accountnts

1). I prefer Google's Inbox app for my personal Gmail account and Nine for my exchange account

1 - I use the outlook app, like you I loved the stock mail app on the iphone and outlook comes closest to replicating that experience for me.

2 - I installed package disabler pro and got rid of all the samsung and AT&T bloatware that you are not able to uninstall, I applied the material theme, and I installed google now launcher (although I'm not too crazy about it and might give touch wiz a shot) but my phone has been pretty smooth, not iOS smooth but a pleasant experience nevertheless.

Speaking of email, does anyone here have an outlook account? The spam I get on that account is out of control

Lag wise the more things you try to disable to prevent it, you could possibly cause it (self fulfilling prophecy).

Just use the device as normal and enjoy. Deal with issues only 'if' you get them.

People are quick to recommend package disabler pro from the playstore but this has potential to cause more system instability than cure if you are unsure what you are disabling. In all honesty you shouldn't have to think about it. Just use the device as it comes :)

Yep, I agree with you on that. I'm not planning on installing Package Disabler Pro since the phone is running smooth for now. If it starts having issues then I'll possibly look into that.

[doublepost=1472763931][/doublepost]Another question!
Samsung Browser works pretty well... But I hate the fact that it moves the tabs around if I have multiple ones open. I believe the most recent ones are shifted to the bottom.

Is there any way to stop this? If not, what's the next best browser available?

I'm sure none of the browsers will be able to replicate the experience Safari provides, but anything coming close to that?

Chrome is likely the next best browser, but I generally use Samsung browser myself.

And o2. This must be a serious issue. It's a shame as Samsung were making great strides this year. Even when all the issues are ironed out I think this will negatively effect samsungs sales. A shame.
