The more I read about this phone, more excited I get. Should be a true "Phablet" beast, a large phone, with everything else large in a good way;

- Large 4,000mAh to 4,200mAh battery
- 6GB RAM
- Newest Samsung hard drive technology
- 5.8" screen, with even better AMOLED tech
- And get the great waterproof and dust proof certification, which is always good to have
- Rumored to get a little better, less bloated Touxhwiz.
- SD823 processor

This phone will be a power beast, very fast and very smooth, with outstanding battery life, potentially best battery life of a current flagship Android phone.

More significant about the 6gb of RAM is that it is 10nm LPDDR4. Smaller chipsets, faster and more power efficient. If this can't smooth out Touch wiz to a buttery smooth UI and if it can't maintain at least 8 active apps in the background (even on the Snapdragon chip), then I'm not sure it will ever be possible with Touchwiz !

Battery on this should be mega, guessing most of the edge screen features will come with it

Yeah, really want that new flash storage, I hope it's as fast as the iPhones, it really makes a huge difference. And the battery life should be spectacular too with a 4,000mah battery. Can't wait.

And I really do miss that spen, while it's not something I use on a daily basis, it really comes in handy when you need it.

I am thinking about the Note 7 now. I might give up both my iPhone 6S Plus and Galaxy S7 Edge while going with only one device. Didn't use the S-Pen much, but I am hoping the Note 7 has an Exynos processor in the US, 6GB of RAM, 4k display, extremely beefy battery capacity, water resistance, SD slot, retina scanner, better FP scanner, and timelier updates. If not, I might have to see if the 7 Plus is worth it, if not, I'll probably drop my S7 Edge and stick with the iPhone 6S Plus for one more year.
[doublepost=1466304910][/doublepost]PS, I wouldn't get the Edge this go around or I would wait it out because the Edge has the typing issue and provides a nightmare with accessories and screen protectors. I have yet to find a good one for my S7 Edge.

i'm tempted to sell my S7 edge and iphone 6s plus to fund the note 7 and then buy the iphone 7 plus come september ha. That way wouldn't cost me anything for the note 7 while still having some left over for the new iphone. Just means having the note 7 as my daily driver for at least a month or so.

I'm selling my S7e when this comes out. I'm resisting selling it right now just in case it doesn't launch in Europe or if they only launch the edge model here in which case I'll likely skip.

I'll sell my iPhone 6S+ when the 7 comes out (if it seems to be a worthwhile upgrade otherwise i may just hold onto the +), but I'm keeping my little SE ... (which has become one of my favourite handsets of all time).

Not trying to derail the thread, but interesting that you like the SE so much. Do you usually like small phones?

I thought I was done with them, but after 2.5 years of phablets and larger phones ever increasing in size going back to the SE and rediscovering what ergonomic benefits you actually get from a smaller device and one with minimal trade-offs (there always are some) the SE for me has great one handed use better than any android I've used in years, a great camera and I get similar battery to any of the best android handsets and close to my 6S+. Yes it may not be the best device for consuming video or perhaps browsing the web, but as a 'phone' and messaging device, one to get the job done and do so in a super fast way, the SE has been great for me.

Interesting that someone who has used large phones could go back to a smaller phone.

I use my phone primarily for browsing the net, watching videos, social media, taking photos, navigation. I think all of those things benefit from having a larger screen.

I do use it to make calls and send messages but that has become secondary to other things.

I could personally never go for a smaller phone anymore. Just so used to the size of the bigger models. No lower than 5'5 for me now.

That said the SE is a great device I can see why anybody would like it. What they have packed in a small device has been very impressive

Strange thing is ... I thought the same, that I was convinced that I would not be able to go back to a smaller phone, but actually it wasn't a big deal for me.

There are just as many positive practical implications to a smaller device as there are to bigger devices. It makes a great device to use alongside an Android or other, however if I had to only use one device and one device only, then yes I would likely choose a little bigger device, but I likewise wouldn't choose a phablet as my 1 only device either. I would stick to 4.7-5.2" range for a single device.

And last week while playing with my N5 I was thinking that I don't know if I could go that small again and that's with only a few months of bigger. I just use my phone more now that I used to because it big enough that I don't feel the need to take out my computer

I find myself gravitating to 5.5 or larger phablets. For me they have the perfect size for reading news and catching up on all my stuff on tapatalk. Then watching YT videos is so nice on larger phones for me anyways.....

I don't think the iPhone 7 Plus will be that great because of all the 2017 rumors. The Note 7 rumors make it sound a lot more promising. I'll wait for reviews though because I am in no rush.

Think it depends what the 7 includes. I hope the keep the duel camera, waterproof and adds something different that hasn't leaked. We will see.

Knowing me I will upgrade even if the rumours aren't great or worth the upgrade. I'm sure something that isn't out yet or leaked will make it impressive.

I think with the note 7 I think alot of people are hoping there is a normal version as from what i have seen alot would give it a miss if there is just one curved version.

This is why I have embraced tablets. They are redundant mostly but I don't have to lug a phablet around. Hardly every use my computer now outside of work.

Interesting hearing your thoughts. I'm the complete opposite, I used to lug my tablets everywhere I went. I got sick of always having one hand holding the tablet, or worrying where to carry it. Phablets freed me from those shackles. Don't get me wrong, I still love tablets, I just don't really have the desire or need to carry it around. That's why I have such high hopes for foldable screens which will solve the issue, hopefully.

Alternatively I tried small phones and I could never ever go back. It's like going back to a CRT monitor, or a tube TV, hell no. I do appreciate the aesthetics of a small phone though, but it would hamstring so many modern functions I'd most likely end up carrying a tablet around anyway.

:D we are all different indeed.

If I am out and about I generally don't bring my tablet. If anything leave it in the car, which is always nearby. Or if I know I'm going to have alot of dead time I'll bring it.

My phone spends to much time in my pocket for me to want a phablet. It may be that I just don't use it enough to justify the size (or use it in ways where screen size isnt super relevant). I think there is a limit though, I'm not sure I could do the se as my single daily driver device. I like mru's 4.7-5.2" range

Well for me all I need on the go now is my 6s plus and S7 edge. I take both around with me to work and my ipad pro 12.9 is what I use when at home. Just a perfect combo for me. I don’t need to worry about battery life on my plus anyway but if all else fails I use my edge to browse as everything app wise on my iphone is on my Samsung. I do like the edge for my quick easy access compared to my iphone. Having the option to just use at my onefootball, fotmob, goal or thescore widgets are ideal so I know what news articles are on those sites without need to go on the site to check them.

Yeah it's great, also got wss which is great app for all sports.

Two apps I could never get on apple. Showbox too

Personally, I would never trust likes of showbox or popcorntime for same reason I would never torrent music,tv show or film.

The amount of times I've had to fix PC's (60 or 70 in the last 3 years) riddled with malware because they've used many 'free' apps to view sports and tv/movies or downloaded music would put anyone off.
