I know it's only speculation on sammobile's part, but please let this be true:

http://www.sammobile.com/2016/07/11/galaxy-note-7-may-feature-a-hybrid-ufsmicrosd-card-slot/

256gb of memory just as fast as the internal, wow. If this is true then it's nuts just how much power is packed into this phone. I'd love to see Samsung remove it's restriction on marrying the internal/external storages like Google has.

Might have worded that wrong....I meant that a 4K display is useless for anything other than VR. To me it doesn't make sense to make the Note 7 with a 4K display that will only be useful for the few that use VR. The battery life costs of the 4K display outweigh it's usefulness for the few that would use VR on a Note model.

Yeah I don't disagree, even though my vote would be all for 4k. Battery life is nice to have as well, shame the removable battery couldn't make a comeback.

[doublepost=1468264187][/doublepost]Damn, that's certainly expensive. I'll have to buy from ebay or someone who doesn't charge tax in california (I think I'll buy the international version with the Exynos processor)

Also the source is :

"With that said, this is obviously new tech and so as Samsung notes in their comment to us, this new socket needs to be adopted by others. They are already working with others, though, “for the next-generation” set of devices.

That could (and we hope it does) mean that the Galaxy Note 7 will be one of the first on the planet to support both."

Removable UFS is super awesome, this has killed the current SD card. But I don't see it coming quite yet to phones. Next year for sure.

Is it me or does the screen not look as curved as the S7 edge?

I think it just looks like a bigger version of the S 7 Edge...seems that glass back will be on the Note again, so no removable battery seriously Samsung leave the design stuff for the S phones and bring back the removable battery it's not that hard, damnit :(

I don't think it needs removable if the battery is even bigger than the S7 edge. Will see

The Note 5 was pretty disappointing with battery life. I've argued against removable batteries before, but I've come around and would have loved one on the Note 7. One thing that chews up battery like nothing else is VR, a 2nd battery would be super nice for those VR sessions. I think LG did a great job with their modules in the G5, they kept the phone thin and still were able to use aluminum. I'd love a slide out battery like that on the Note series.

I found it to the best battery I've had in a Samsung phone, I've had note 4 and Note 3 and the note 5 is better.

Of course it's just my opinion but no complaints from me..

My Note 4 had much better battery life for some odd reason. Maybe it's my setup, I'm not sure.

I was gonna say the same thing earlier! But chalked it up to wishful thinking :)
It does look like the curve is not as pronounced and there is more side bezel than the S7e

Yeah the side bezel actually looks wider than I thought it would be. I've always thought the curved screens magnified the side bezels, making them appear thicker, kind of the opposite effect that was intended. I'm still torn, but I have a feeling once I have a demo in hand I'll probably come around.

Looks good! But the curve looks more pronounced on this shot...just like my S7e. Really would like both a flat and curved display models :)

Yeah the edge's will be the same as the current Edge model ... It's a shame that we likely won't get the flat variant. For once it actually would be better to have 'more' variants of their flagship ... :)

Best shot yet. Looks like the final product with the Samsung logo.

It does look lovely, just like my S7 Edge ... but I just don't want an Edge note. I just need to accept and mourn the loss :( :( ;)

For once we want Samsung to make MORE phones! :) I will get one as it will be a incremental upgrade over my S7 edge. It will have enough upgraded features for me to use JoD.

If we had something like JOD then i'd be tempted, however I would likely have to pay full what €849 if I went for one ...

It feels strange to be in a place where I don't have any major desire for either the new Note or the forthcoming iPhones. I feel like I'm in Smartphone limbo.

yeah i know what you mean. I was stoked for the N7 but it is not going to be the big release i thought it would be. Unless they surprise at the announcement....but i am pretty sure everything has been leaked so far.
wait a month and the price will fall a bit.....
