I can't see swapping SD cards out very often. It's tied into the SIM tray, and every time you take that out you have to reboot. That would drive me nuts unless it was just occasionally. I wish Android was like iOS where you could replace the sim and not have to reboot.
[doublepost=1460992217][/doublepost]Anyone considering the international version? From what I understand the Note 5 international version is fully functional on GSM carriers, the only thing missing was VoLTE, Samsung pay and possibly wifi calling. I could probably live without those to gain the ability to root and truly own my phone again.

The thing is its very klutzy for me to unlock my Note 5 with just one hand while holding a squirming infant, who will only get stronger....

If it works for me then I'm all for it.

I tend to wait and see before making absolute statements on why x is better than y and such.

It probably won't be on the Note 6 anyway but if it is, surely it will have to work or Samsung will be reminded about it for years..

I do thumbprint scanner on the home button and I don't have to mess with it too much...

Is there any talk that there will be a rose gold color released in the USA?
Well, there's hope. They're releasing one for the S7.

Is that a Samsung thing? I have taken my Sim out of my nexus and insert it back without rebooting with no issues.

It is a Samsung thing and very annoying....It makes you reboot every time a new sim is put in.

You know what I hate? I hate how the volume buttons control ringtone volume, apart from when stuff is actually playing. Is that just a Samsung thing as well?

Also, is there any way to change that?

Not really, what you can do is tap the down arrow and it give you the controls for everything else.

Nope I think that happens with all androids. As Fernandez said, you can click the down arrow for note options. However I am assuming you hate it because of accidental clicks?

Partly, but partly because I just want to check how much volume I have before booting up a game or a video, and change it if necessary. Why in hell would I want to chang my ringtone volume when I'm just on my phone doing normal stuff? At least make it an option, rather than forcing it upon everybody.

And I know about the down arrow, I just don't think that's convenient enough.

I wish there was a hardware mute button like on the iphones. I cannot tell you how many times I've pressed volume down when the phone is in my pocket by accident and it will mute the phone and I will miss a ton of important calls. Alternatively I'd be happy if I could simply lock it into vibrate or have it not mute if I press the volume buttons down. I really really miss the mute button on the iPhone and am completely dumbfounded why no one else has copied it, or have they patented it?

The volume works depending on what's in the foreground. So if you are on the homescreen, it figures you just want to adjust the ringtone volume. When apps that's produce audio are in the foreground, the Media Volume is the default. It just makes sense that way, cause it's based on normal usage of the device. Not for the minority who always wants to set the media volume before they enter the app. Tapping the extend arrow is not a big deal if you want to set the volume for media when the app is not in the foreground.

I wish Samsung could reduce the redundancy in its flagships. Instead, it could release a S8 Edge and Note 6 Edge, both with styluses, except one is 5.7" and the other is 5.1". Fully unlocked, one sized fit all, and no boot loader issues. Keep it Exynos driven. Then, you have the ultimate samsung product.

Still, it makes a lot more sense to change media volume at any time. I don't see why changing the ringtone volume from the home screen, or from an app, is practical.

wish list from John Retinger.

Nothing really Earth shattering in that wish list. Can probably almost guarantee expandable storage and waterproofing and that we won't see a removable battery (hate this anyways as it compromises device structural rigidity, IMO). Expanded capabilities from the S-Pen sure seem doable though I'm sure about replicating the multi-angle shading capabilities of the Apple Pencil using the S-Pen and digitizer--anyone with a better understand of this tech able to chime in?

And adding some sort of pressure sensitivity a la 3D Touch---doesn't the Note already sort of replicate much of this functionality with the hover capabilities of the S-Pen? I think I'd also prefer OEMs hold off on implementing their own solution and wait for Android N to use the native functionality provided there.

Maybe for yourself, but not for the majority of people. I lower and raise my ringtone volume the most. And if I go down to vibrate of silent, it also changes the system and notification sound the same. That makes the most sense for the average user. Makes it easy when you're in a meeting, movies, date, classroom, and etc.

Curved Note 6?

Interestingly though, a report that allegedly comes from a reliable source claims Samsung has created two different Note 6 versions, yet will decide upon one of them before the unveiling, and the other model will not be launched. The Galaxy S6 edge+ from last year will not get a successor in 2016, so basically the Note 6 will serve double duty, both as the follow-up to the Note5 but also the S6 edge+

http://m.gsmarena.com/samsung_is_te...rsions_one_has_a_curved_screen-news-17908.php

That would be an interesting move if true.
