Wait....how do we get the gift? So for example the gear fit 2? Or Netflix, whatever one decided on?
From what I remember last year....it is after you received it and registered it with Samsung. You should get a link in an email if memory serves me right.Wait....how do we get the gift? So for example the gear fit 2? Or Netflix, whatever one decided on?
How do you qualify?Wow, if you buy an S7Edge you also qualify for the 256GB memory card.

Has Samsung perfected design with the Galaxy Note 7?

Like I said, as Samsung gets better and better at curve/edge screen technology, the experience will get better, too. I haven't handle it myself, but impressions from early previews all sound pretty good. Here's one snippet from this link:
One of the biggest issues people have found with the Galaxy S7 Edge – which was also mentioned during the Note 7 announcement in London – is the curved edges and the accidental presses as a result of the design. With the Note 7, the edges are a narrower curve (with the same curves on the rear), the corners have been tightened and the metal and glass have been sculpted so they almost flow seamlessly together.
The Galaxy Note 7 doesn’t feel like a large-screen smartphone and is actually easier to use in one hand than the Galaxy S7 Edge, despite having a screen that is 0.2-inches larger. Thanks to the tighter curves on the front and back and the metal frame, Samsung has managed to make a curved edge smartphone that is actually useful and not a case of style-over-function like with the Galaxy S7 Edge. If you’re one of those who’s had accidental presses on the curved edges of the S7 Edge, the Galaxy Note 7 pretty much fixes all of these.
Me and my S7 Edge are jealous. Can't wait to see how the S8 Edge will look and feel.
I ordered...or rather my husband ordered us two Blue Note 7's on AT&T last night a little past midnight. We hope we got the BOGO deal but it was confusing as hell because the deal was heavily steering folks to get the S7 BOGO deal even though the Note 7 and other Samsungs are listed as qualified devices. Also in the fine print you will see you don't get the second Note 7 free, you just get credit for the cost of a Galaxy S7 and will still have to pay the roughly $200 price difference. With ATT they are pretty good about the 2nd line. I have 2 lines, both not undercontract and eligible for upgrade. One line will get upgraded. The 2nd line will be a new port from the 2nd line I have, so basically they will cancel my 2nd line and port it over to a new line of service. With the BOGO I will just sell the 2nd Note 7 and pay off my EIP.
Dang.....you made out like a bandit!
That's awesome if true, that was really my biggest gripe with the S7 edge. Can't wait to try it out.Has Samsung perfected design with the Galaxy Note 7?

AgreedI pre ordered by phone. The rep told me I would have to go here with my order details

What sold me was ..... 64gb internal, bigger screen, S-pen, and the fact that I can write a note and have it on the Always On display. That's a great reminder tactic, and I'll use it a lot.
For all people who are deciding between a s7 edge and note 7, here are the note 7 advantages:
- USB Type C
- Iris Scanner
- 64GB Memory
- S-Pen
- 5.7" Display
- Gorilla Glas 5
- Aluminium Series 8
- Symetrical back and front glas
- Grace UX
- HDR Mode for supported Apps like Amazon Video
Yesssss! Thank goodness there are still people out there building their own PC's. Next summer my husband and I are going to build a gaming pc together, too, with our 11 year old daughter. We want her to have the kind of experience we had with computers in our youth. I've been keeping an eye on all the price breaks I can get via Slickdeals on components.Long-time not talk Macrumor buddies! I was deeply distracted with building my own gaming PC, I highly recommend it. Its a fun experience, and you gain a new appreciation for just how powerful the hardware and software you can buy is, when you build it yourself, and it doesn't have a company logo on it. Ill just say this; The most expensive 4k iMAC is more than twice as much (this includes the case, all the hardware, high end monitor, keyboard, mouse, gaming headset, and nice Logitech webcam), and the iMac isn't even in the same galaxy power wise. Anyway...sorry for the tagent.
Anyway, I pre-ordered two Note 7 Black last night when pre-orders went live. I am really looking forward to this phone, it has everything I have wanted in the Note series.
-Gorgeous, industry leading design and build quality
-Amazing camera (arguably the best)
-Spen and software finally reaching their potential
-64gb of storage (finally)
-Great processor (the 820 is just that, great)
-Water resistance (I work in a biology lab, with fish...)
-you all know the rest, I am done with this list.
Anyway, I also am optimistic about Samsung pass and ever more so about Samsung cloud. If it functions to further improve the Android back-up and restore functionality, bringing it on par with iOS; Ill be one happy camper.
I am overly excited for the gear fit 2, to be honest. I have always wanted a fitness centric smart device, that can accompany me on my runs. I know a running watch is superior, but always have my phone one me so I can listen to my music/podcast, and my phone tracks my runs perfectly fine (expect when I had a 6p, it thought I was an Olympic athlete...it was fun to pretend I guess). I want a fitness centric device that can also receive notifications, control my music, display run progress, etc. I have tried other smart watches, even the gears s2 (nice), but I could never justify the overall cost. But since this is included free....win/win.
Anyway, sorry for the long post. Maybe I just missed you guys?

Then our bleeping Amex declined the transaction because we forgot to alert them we were doing this. My husband alerted Amex and early this morning AT&T put a $1 charge on our card and sent us an order confirmation this morning, so hopefully all is well with our order.
As for getting freebies like a memory card or Gear Fit 2, we didn't see that option on AT&T and it was late and hubby was tired so he went to sleep and left it to me to figure the rest out.
At any rate we added these as new lines on AT&T. We have existing lines of grandfathered unlimited data but those are specific to iPhones only according to my husband. I'm going to need him to get clarification but right now we are under the impression we have to stick to iPhones on those accounts or lose the unlimited status.
We would both have loved to try T-Mobile if they had offered BOGO. But we have very poor data coverage through them on our iPads. I rarely get above two dots of signal.
Does a regular S7 qualify? Where are you seeing this?
How do you qualify?
I've just upgraded to the S7 edge last week

Ooh, ouch! Yikes. I'm still an Apple fan but it's getting harder to deny the perception that basically at every level of the ecosystem they've compromised on hardware, design, and features for various reasons we can only guess at.Wow, when's the last time you heard a major tech website calling out the iPhone. People really seem to have enough with Apple's "it just works," and "it's about the ecosystem, the complete experience."

There's no doubt Apple need to step up. I'm. Hoping the duel camera can help. So it's not a free Gear VR and a MicroSD it is a choice of either. I thought it sounded too good to be true when you posted that earlier.
