Just remembered there is a chrome extension that syncs with the Samsung browser, it's called Samsung Sync. I don't use chrome very often on desktop so I haven't really tried it, but it sounds interesting and may let you use Samsung's browser.

I'll look into that, thanks.

After years on iPhone (started with 3G) I'm seriously considering the note 7. Will be a pain due to Apple Watch and 6s plus I'd have to sell. But, do any of you regularly text with iPhone users from android? I did try a moto x for a few weeks and sending videos and pictures to and from my wife's iPhone were awful.

half my friends use a mix of android and other than different colour text bubbles I've never had any issue. Not sure what your problems may be.

Man I'm so torn. I need to wait to see what the iPhone brings.

But it's tough to beat Samsung screen, Samsung camera

But then I still got to remember the updates for android os on samsung are soo damnn sloww

Also this stock keyboard on my note 5 looks awesome but the auto correct is stupid and as of the note 5 it predicts emails as a autocorrect drives me nuts.

Butt that screeeen

Only at the bigger BBs with a Samsung Experience shop.
Yup the BB I went to has the Samsung shop. Had 4 Note 7s on display no S pen and in "Samsung retail mode"
[doublepost=1470440639][/doublepost]I've pretty much used an iPhone exclusively since the 4 with a few 3-4 day dabbles with android in between.

For someone who typically upgrades his phone yearly would the lack of updates really matter? I'm assuming these lack of updates are the yearly Android upgrade MM-->Nougat for example. Do the US carriers/Samsung typically lag on security uodates and things like that? If not, I don't see the lack of upgrades being an issue for my purposes.

You'll get the security updates, some later than others though. But I agree with you depending on what Nougat features you need or don't need. For me the big feature I'm a bit bummed about is not having multi window from Nougat. Samsungs implementation is terrible and doesn't work with the vast majority of apps. But Samsung has so many more features that Nougat doesn't have that with a vanilla Android phone I'd be asking myself when that would get those features.

I've got the Olympics Opening Ceremony on. Samsung clearly is marketing heavily here. Lots and lots and lots of athletes are waving Samsung phones around since I think Samsung was providing them to athletes and their families. Goodness Samsung phones are blindingly shiny. There are quite a few Go-Pros and some IPhones. But the Samsungs are most visible.

And there was a Note 7 commercial that was sort of kissing America's butt while also kind of parodying us. It was amusing and showed off the blue Note 7 very well.

I'm glad that's the color I ordered. My husband ordered that as well. I kind of wish he had ordered something different so I could compare them. He is always matching me. The only time he wouldn't match me was when I insisted on the rose gold iPhone 6S Plus. He copycatted my gold iPad mini 4, too.

Hmmm didn't realize that not all apps were supported with Samsung's multi-window. Is there a list of supported apps anywhere? I guess as long as messaging browser and music apps work I'll be good.

Anybody know Best Buy's return policy? Standard 14 days?
Believe its 14 days or 30/45 if you're elite/elite plus member

you still keeping your 6s plus?

right just sold my S7 edge to my work mate for £330. first stage complete. Then will sell my 6s plus when i get my note 7. Then if I decide it's worth upgrading to the iphone 7 i will do then....if it's not good enough then will stick with my note 7...that will be tough but do i want to spend £800 on a phone that really might not be much different to the 6s? hmm will see. knowing me I will do but i would like to think common sense says don't do it.

Not looking forward to replacing all my micro USB cables with USB c. Especially since I still need the micro to charge my work phone, Bluetooth headphone, and speakers.

Yes. I got it through AT&T Next. Was supposed to trade my old 6Plus in to get it but AT&T never sent us the shipping label to do that. My husband decided to keep his and my 6 Plus around anyway as backups since they were paid off at that point.

The SE came out. With the 6plus just lying around and nobody in the family wanting it at the time, I decided I wanted to trade it in at the Apple Store for the compact SE as my daily driver. I did not go through AT&T Next so I still had my 6S Plus. But took the sim out of it for the new SE from Apple.

I thought we were going to trade my 6S Plus in through AT&T Next for the Note 7. But I found out we lose our Unlimited Data plan if we stop using iPhones on it as it is tied to the exclusive use of iPhones. Then my husband decided he wanted a Note 7 when he heard the T-Mobile BOGO rumor. The BOGO deal ended up being through AT&T instead. We had to get new lines for each Note 7 to get the deal. It's not the greatest deal, but we prefer to stay on AT&T's great coverage.

:eek:So that's how I will end up with 3 viable smart phones at the same time. The SE will be my pocket phone and text and quick camera. The Note 7 will be my portable computer and power camera since it has OIS and slightly more accurate color.

The 6S plus is in free play for trade ups and backups. So theoretically I can still trade up on AT&T Next for the iPhone 7 with it. I currently have no interest in doing so. The 6S Plus gets a surprising amount of use around the house on wifi. It may eventually go to my mother-in-law. She prefers small iPhones though.

Not sure, I haven't seen a list. Samsung doesn't even support many of its own apps, which is odd.

Just checked out the Note 7 in blue at my local Verizon Store, absolutely beautiful and played around with it for a few minutes. I pre ordered the blue and I currently have the 6 Plus through Verizon. I figure since we get a 14 day return policy I'll try it out before deciding. I am on the Verizon Edge plan so I can either turn my iPhone in within 14 days IF I stay with the Galaxy OR pay the remaining $200 and keep my iPhone maybe for backup. I worry though that next years iPhone will be bad ass and then I'll be stuck. I like how Apple has the annual upgrade option if you go through them. Nervous since everything else we have is Apple

as I said in your other thread if you are absolutely wanting to switch to android then it is a must to use cross platform apps. Here is my plan:

iMessage - standard SMS (ugh) and Facebook messenger (hopefully the people I communicate with start using this as a default instead of iMessage for group messaging that's my only "concern")

FaceTime - Facebook messenger/hangouts

Reminders - Wunderlist

Notes - google keep or S note haven't decided yet but most likely google keep since it is cross platform

iCloud Photo Library - Google photos

Apple Music - google music

That's really it IMO. Everything else is pretty much the same. iMessage is an excellent service but the fact that you have to have appple products to use it is just a deal breaker and I don't want to have to forego a superior experience on a diffeeent platform just to use iMessage. With the exception of iMessage every other cross platform counterpart gives a much better overall experience across devices. When I'm at work I have to use my iPhone to do anything since the iCloud.com website sucks so bad. Looking forward to being able to manage things from my work pc and also not having to drop $1200 when my MacBook takes a crap. Chromebook or a $300 windows laptop will be fine for my purposes. I used to be all in with Apple but it's time to switch. They're just falling way too far behind in most things. Tired of waiting and waiting and waiting for it to catch up in all aspects.

Get out of the Apple ecosystem and I think in a year or two you're concerns will have fully disappeared.

I'm really interested to see how the new Samsung Cloud works, will only be for Note 7 users at first, wonder if it's as good as Apples Cloud. If it backs up truly everything and can even restore your app placements, messages, settings like iCloud, it will be a great thing

That's the first thing I will test out.
