we know you will get a Note 6 MRU....you can't help yourself. You have an addiction like the rest of us ere :)

And probably myself so much so that if the early release rumor actually comes to fruition with the Note 6, I may just forego the HTC 10.

Someone mentioned why get the Note if you have a S7E. That's easy, no more edge displays for me. Hard to cover the screen with a protector and the edges detract from gaming and videos.

Time, because it rules EVERYTHING!
I'm kinda intrigued by the notion of a Note 6 Lite that's been floating around the rumour mill, rumoured to have a 1080P screen and powered by a Snap Dragon 820 with 4GB of Ram, will be interested to see what they do if this is true, sounds pretty nice especially if it has decent memory or an SD card slot and the same camera as the S7 or even the S6.

That was me, and sure, if you don't like the edge I get why you would upgrade :) But if you do like the edge, I don't really get it.

Hmmmm, Snapdragon 820 with 1080p? Might be worth considering if most of the other features are equal.

Can't see them bringing out a lite version when they will both look the same. Still think one version is likely and I also can't see them bringing out an edge version either.

Heard rumours of a June release but I can't see it myself. With rumours of the iPhone 7 I think chances are I may get the note 6 instead and sick with my 6s plus

I am hoping for a July or August release. That will give me enough time to enjoy the S7E before going to the Note 6 to see what it has.

so rumours of 256GB built in storage..be some jump from 32GB
I really hope that's the case. And there were also rumors of faster storage too, on par with the iPhone. Combine that with a huge battery, snapdragon 823, and 6gb RAM this should be a beast of a phone.

Maybe it's not so far fetched if they want to capture some of the middle end consumers. It would be a great way for the stylus experience to penetrate farther into consumers hands. A Note 6 Lite would kind of overlap the S7 edge though, and IMO as the edge gimmick wears off more consumers would opt for the Note 6 Lite if price were similar. With all the buzz about the ipads stylus I think now is the time for Samsung to double down on their stylus and really push it.

I think a Note 6 Lite will be pretty good value, less then an S7 EDGE, I would say on par or less then a standard S7. A 1080P screen won't cost much, the battery could be smaller too because of that and give the same battery life, Snap Dragon 820 is in full swing production now. We will have to see if it exists what else would be cut from it.

If they can make the Note 6 feel as small as the S7E does for a larger phone, I am game. I think the S7E is the best designed phone I have ever used from camera ability, to the best screen on any smart phone, to the thin yet small package it is in.

That being said, if it can give me the same performance and screen quality with great camera performance, I would enjoy a regular screen more so than the edge variety and the Note 6 might check all those boxes.

Agreed and all reports are they will be doing just that.

Rumour of this samsung focus feature coming for the note 6

http://technave.com/gadget/Rumours-...any-s-version-of-the-Blackberry-Hub-7154.html

I do like the edge panels though but they isn't enough stuff for my liking. I do like it for messages though and just sliding across to call one of my favourites though.

The battery is good on my edge but the note 6 will be a beast from the sounds. I've noticed selling it on sellmymobile.com i would get £390 for it so would lose out on what i have bought it for but would mean only paying another 200-300 for a new note 6.

after not seeing note 5 in the UK i'm really looking forward to this.

I honestly don't understand why anyone with a S7 Edge would "upgrade" to a Note 6. Even the most frequent phone buyer. A slight bump in CPU and RAM?? A stylus?

If you will be coming from a Note 5 or S6 edge plus, it's more of a true upgrade for us. We go from 4 GB ram to 6 gb ram and we get all of features that the S7 has plus more advantages in the battery department, screen department, and maybe the camera department. We may even get the feature that I hope will be included which is the ability to use the note 6 as a console for a possible hybrid tablet/laptop 2 in 1 device.

I am hoping they don't break that perfect ratio of screen size to body size that the Note 5 has with the Note 6.

I am with you on that. I hope they don't try to make it too small and get rid of all the bezels. You still need some to hold onto.....

Latest rumors says mid August release. That aligns with a July announcement and August released rumors earlier.

Firmware development is usually a sign that a device’s hardware has reached its final form and is unlikely to get any major changes as far as the specs are concerned. Rumors suggest the Galaxy Note 6 will feature a 5.8-inch ‘Slim RGB’ AMOLED display, the Snapdragon 823 SoC/a higher clocked Exynos 8890, 6GB of RAM, the same 12-megapixel camera as seen on the S7 lineup but with improved camera software, and a 4,000 mAh battery. We can expect Android N to be powering the software out of the box.

Then the phone would have to be larger! I'd rather lose more bezel, but somewhere along the line they (or anyone) needs to design the UI to avoid accidental button presses.

Hmm, is Android N realistic to expect? This is Samsung we are talking about. Personally I would put all my bets on it having MM.
