Well I have a stock Galaxy Tab 4 and I can confirm that not the entire App will get moved to the SD card. Every app I have moved from internal to external is at best 70%. I went to move Fairway Solitaire and it's roughly a 300 MB app. About 200 MB stayed in internal storage. Some apps don't support external storage.

With what specs? As I noted before, in comparing the specs on my 2014 Note 10.1 the only difference I really see is the size of the screen and the screen technology. The 2014 Note 10.1 looks to have the same CPU, same amount of RAM.

8" Note with the super amoled screen.;)

I, too, have the Note 10.1 2014 and it is, by far, my favorite (I have had or used a bit both the iPad Air and mini retina, while very good tablets, they still don't compare to the Note - the s pen is the major reason but not the only one).

I also saw them at Best Buy. I might sell my TabPro 8.4 and get a S 8.4 I really like the super amoled screens. All depends on what I can sell my mint TabPro 8.4 for I guess. I would much prefer a Note 8 S though, as others have said.

I'd recommend...to anyone possibly wanting one of the new Galaxy S Tabs to just wait about 3-4 months before buying one if you can. Samsung Tabs drop in price quickly and you'll save some dough.

I'm not hating on Samsung, in fact, I just bought the now "last gen" Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 which was released just this February. It was priced at $399.99 at launch, just like the 8.4 Tab S model and I snatched it up at Best Buy for $279.99.

Samsung is currently on a release cycle of new Tabs every 3.5 to 4 months. They have three unique lines with the S-line beginning the fourth variant (Tab, Note, Pro and now S). So if you can hold out, I'm sure these S-line tabs will be cheaper sooner than you'd think!

I've been looking into iPad mini sized tablets recently and the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 seems to be the perfect tablet in terms of size. If the reviews are good and I like it when they hit stores, I might pick one up to replace my Nexus 7 at some point.

Also thank you mpayne2k for pointing that out about the prices dropping. I'm not wanting to replace my Nexus 7 just yet but in a few months I feel it'll be time.

Samsung do it with everything, dare I say even phones. Proves they screw the early adopters then drop prices to where they should be.

It is normal for prices to go down after launch for basically any tech product.

It is Apple the problem, not lowering their prices.

Not interested. Samsung is known to release a product then a couple of months later update it. Not wasting my money and having to resell the current one for the new one.

Do you always have to have the latest and greatest?

How are these new Tab S tablets different from the recently launched Tab Pro tablets? A quick glance at the specs show only noticeable differences are size/weight and back panel design?

Is that really it? What am I missing? Is there something else that make is worthwhile to spend MORE money on the newer Tab S devices vs. what seem to be equally spec'd Tab Pro tablets.?

You missed the main points: Super AMOLED and "octa"-core

Phew, let me take a breath!

I was not planning to spend as much time at BB as I did and this was just with the 8.4", 1 hour and it was fun :)

Here is the comparison chart, not sure it is perfectly accurate.

http://www.phonearena.com/phones/co...8.4,Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-S-8.4/phones/8276,8663

Right off the bat I started with my favorite youtube video for PQ and AQ, a sample of Planet Earth by Robert Revol . Both bested the Pro 8.4" easily. The color and clarity was outstanding. And you get two speakers on the S on the top and bottom sides which easily made a noticeable difference.

The RAM with 9 tabs opened sat at 2.17. This obviously will be different dependent on what one is utilizing.

You get the side sync feature and finger scanner as well. And more storage space versus the Pro 8.4".

I did lots of browsing and flipping between open tabs. Really no lag at all to tell the truth. I could not try a game because you have to add your Google account to download and I didn't want to do that.

The Samsung Rep was pretty and friendly but she did not get a preorder out of me, I'm not that easy. Beside, I need to look at the larger model next go around.

More later. Time for lunch.

Your "old" device still works when a new one comes out

Not sure I follow you there...I bought my iPad Air from Best Buy a week after release for $70 off. Deals are out there if you look hard enough.

It's still live. Just in-store only. Online the price is $329.99 but you get a $50 gift card "free." If you go in store, the price is listed as $279.99 on the shelf.

Apple does not provide retailers with a lot of margin to bring down the price significantly.

From what I can see...they've dropped the "Pro" moniker and the "S-Line" is an update to that line of Tabs. The new Tab S 8.4 is really just an update spec bump from the Pro 8.4 with the new screen.

It is also "thinner and lighter" with a 100mAh bump to the battery.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the Bronze band and off-black color. I have to say I'm quite satisfied with my Pro 8.4 which I bought just this past Wednesday which has the chrome-like band and true black color and the speckle-black on the screen bezel. Paying $279.99 was the main perk too...oh, speaking of perks, I was also eligible for the Samsung Perks package. Got me $25 for the google play store, 3 Audible audiobooks, Free in-flight WiFi for a year and some other things which made the purchase a very good deal!

I agree. Sorry, wasn't trying to create an argument or anything. It is generally accepted that Apple products hold their value longer due to Apple's squeezing of their profit margins.

For me, this is the way of Tech today...if you can wait, there will always be incentives to buy products for cheaper than MSRP.

I checked the BB website and no mention of a free $50 GC. I'll and stop by one of their stores.

The deal may be over as it is Sunday and new deals start today.

The $50 gift card deal online definitely ended yesterday so good luck finding it in store for $279.99 still!
