I don't know if Phone Arena is reviewing a retail version with final software or not, but the video still shows considerable lag given the S4 specs. This worries me greatly. Look at around the 2:40 mark when he's scrolling through menus, or just generally when he's hitting the home button.

Even when he's launching apps, there's some considerable delay. It's delay I do not notice when I was using my Nexus 4. Gosh, is TouchWiz that burdensome?

This really turns me off from the S4...

YouTube: video

I bet the power saving toggle is on, so it throttles everything down. My Note 2 is pretty laggy with the power saving on. Upside is, I never need to turn it in because it lasts over a day anyway. Same with my old S3

Thanks for the link, if you ordered one, roughly how long did it take to receive?

I have amazon prime, so it was there the next day :) (now it looks like it is not prime eligible)

I have swapped them between at least a dozen phones and never had any issues

During the T-Mobile News event the S4 is announced at coming out May 1st for T-Mobile. The HTC One "coming soon". I guess I know which phone I'm getting now.

Probably get white again but im not going to get one right away. May be some new colors by then since im going to wait 3-6 months to get one.

T-Mobile also is getting the iPhone on April 12th for $99 for those who might care.

Anyone got any ideas how the dual camera feature would be useful? I really have no idea at this point.

I guess I might use if it I send a funny picture to someone and then include my reaction? Probably won't use it much, it's more of a gimmick

Convenient how you leave out of your quote the part of the article that clearly explains why it's more expensive. ;)

This is likely exactly why they use plastic, or their margins would take a beating, or they'd have to increase price. In fact, I seem to recall Samsung admitting they use plastic to keep cost down.

No, its because contrary to popular belief plastic isn't cheap and aluminum isn't expensive. Heck aluminum is the 3rd most abundant element in the earths crust after oxygen and silicon and the most abundant metal period. It makes up about 8% by weight of the Earth's solid surface. Aluminum also has many properties that make it a poor material for cell phones and portable devices.

Tmobile event says around May 1st for Galaxy S4 release (on Tmobile anyway). The others cannot be far from that date.

There's your release date.

Ah sweet, I have prime aswell but it seems its $3 more then the others and has to be added on to a order of $25 or more since its an "add-on" item. -_-.

Thanks for the reply wanting this so I can swap between my iphone and s4 without needing a new sim. Will look into ordering one once my phone is ordered :D

Uh ? Not following you  what does that have to do with the dual camera mode ?

allows the person taking the picture to be in the picture as well. Some people are ok with handing their phone/camera to a stranger and asking them to take a picture for them...some are not.

Yeah, I guess.

But that's a helluva crappy way to be in a photo with your family. Not knocking it, per se; a feature is a feature. Just saying!

Yeah ok, i guess. But if no crooks around, then that pictur you have there i se no use to have the picture taker in it. Im just trying to get real use ideas of what you can do with it.
