I'm intrigued by the new S4 and as a thought only right now, I am considering trying one out when they're released only as something different from the iPhone.

How could I get music from my iTunes library onto it?
I have AT&T and wonder, do they allow trial periods with a phone? If I don't like it, can I return it and go back to the iPhone 4S?

Various apps that will sync from iTunes, I use iSyncr and it works very well

You could also try Google Music, if you only want to test you can create a small playlist and get these uploaded/matched, then stream from the Music app

Cool! That was probably my biggest concern with switching from the iPhone - music integration with my iTunes library.

I really am not wanting to sign up to another music service since I am so ingrained in the Apple ecosystem.

I know I would miss Facetime, but can get around that with Skype, Tango or use the iPad or Mac.

It's actually slightly taller, but also slightly narrower and thinner than the S3. It's actually pretty impressive that they've managed to fit all that shiny new hardware and a bigger screen inside a smaller body.

It's thinner at every point except the camera. If you consider the camera it would be the same thickness as the GS3. This is one design aspect I will never understand w/ smartphone companies, why they think a camera that sticks out is asthetically pleasing in favor of less than 1mm of thickness. Even so, the phone doesn't sit flush to any surface. GJ Samsung.

IDK .... That probably depends on pricing. I would say couldn't be more than $30.

That was about what I imagined as well and would be reasonable.

If that's so, when it's released I'll at least go and give it a try and see how I like it.

Yea, I assume it's the UK and surrounding area.

Which do you prefer?

I imagine in day to day usage they're pretty much identical, however the GPU is better in the exynos version even if the cpu is clocked slower.

We haven't had any real world benchmarks or battery life comparisons to see if the big.little architecture makes any appreciable difference either.

At moment it's like saying which do you prefer ? Your right or left leg ;-)

I get virtually the same syncing experience with that app as I do with syncing an iOS device

It's not an auto thing where it does it when on charger, but you can set it to sync at a set time each day

I have mine set to auto sync while I have my evening meal

**It does work with all media types not just music, but obviously nothing with DRM

Good to know. I only sync music to my phone, no videos or anything.

Pretty easy and cool way to do it. I can purchase music from iTunes on my iPhone and it will sync with my Nexus 4 via Play Music. Here are the steps:

(1) Make sure you have auto-download turned on in iTunes on your computer.
(2) Set iTunes to auto-manage your iTunes folder
(3) Download Google's Music Manager
(4) Set the folder to pull from as your iTunes folder
(5) Wait for it to initially upload and...

viola!

Now every time you purchase through iTunes, or upload to iTunes, it automatically enters the iTunes folder on your computer which is watched by Music Manager for any new content. When it finds new stuff, it automatically uploads it to Google's Music cloud.

Wow, that's a neat way to do it.

The trial period is shortened to 14 days now unfortunately, and its a $35 dollar restocking fee. They charge the same or more on bills every year, while constantly reducing options and enforcing data limits, it should be illegal.

That's exactly what I do with mine for my Nexus 7. It really is "set and forget" once you do the initial set up and it uploads. It is much easier than I thought it would be.

So I'm thinking of getting this now too. The only way to get this Unlocked in the US will be to buy this from Europe right? Also I'm not a big fan of touchwiz when I used it on the Galaxy Note years ago. If I used something like nova launcher would I lose all the s apps including (my favorite) s-health?

Ya, I especially like it since I'm still an OSX/iOS guy (iPad mini, iPhone 5 and iMac) and I tend to buy all my stuff off of iTunes.

Fourteen days still isn't too bad to evaluate a new phone. I think I could get a feel for it in that amount of time.

I checked my upgrade eligibility date and it's in October when I had upgraded to the 4S. So it looks like I will have to wait until then since I don't want to fork over an unsubsidized price for any phone. On the plus side, I should also know what the next iPhone and iOS will be by then and can make a better decision on which way I want to go.
