Too bad Nova Launcher gestures only work on the home screen. I don't know about you, but most of my time on my Nexus 4 is spent inside of an app, not on the home screen.

Then try something like SwipePad: Hyperspace Launcher. Allows you to launch any app from within any app.

Nice prototype, but it won't look anything like it :)

Damn, that is sexy. And their logo looks so much better with that font! Amazing what a difference that made. It looks much less cheap and geeky this way.

This also reminds me, I still don't get why they refuse to make black versions of the S3 and Note 2 :( (I think I heard of a black S3 once? But have never seen it anywhere.) Heck, if there had been a black Note 2 from the start I wouldn't have been able to resist, no matter what I thought of the size or plastic shell.

Yeah, that's what I wound up doing last year with the GS3. I moved to the GS3 from the Galaxy Nexus, and had to wait for a custom rom to come out with stock Jellybean (and eventually cyanogenmod). Of course, the roms never quite function the same as the real stock rom though. This time around, since I'll probably only have to wait another month, I figure I'll just stick with my N4.

That another great thing about the nexus phones. The custom roms like aokp/cm and pretty much as stable as the stock roms sometimes even more stable.

lol I don't know if I'd say more stable :p . But yeah, when KLP comes out, there will be stable version on the Nexus provided straight from Google. Other phones like the GS4, HTC One, etc will have to rely on hacked together roms that will in all likelihood have its fair share of bugs. It happens every time. I'm to the point, I'd rather not deal with having to keep up with various custom rom releases, and waiting on them to fix bugs. That's why I will be staying with my N4. That and I'm hoping to get KLP next month, so there's no reason for me to switch.

Um, dream becomes reality if you use Apex or Nova. They have had those for a while now. I dont understand why some just wont try another launcher. They are much better than TouchWiz.

I was using free version so may be i missed it.

But i am talking more of a system wide gestures. Like if the status bar is present in any app, doing swiping or tapping does something like open multi tasking or quit app. Or at lock screen double tapping clock shows music controls.

I am spoiled by activator. That tweak is amazing.

I think next month is a little ambitious. I don't think it will be released until may when google has it's conference.

Cyanogenmod 10.1 4.21 was much more stable than stock 4.21. They fixed a lot of the bugs.

Not sure if you've tried 'Swapps'. Swiping left or right will open your app drawer, favorite apps, and recently used apps. It doesn't matter what app is open. For the lock screen, give 'Active Lockscreen' a try.

Unless Samsung really messes it up somehow, I'll be putting down an order.

It'll feel a bit weird moving away from the Apple ecosystem, but honestly I was tempted by the S3 and regretted not making the jump then.

Worst case scenario; I don't like Android so I'll sell close to the 5S release.

Are y'all seeing the GS4 "leaks"?

And a video of the supposed case, which also reflect a square-design: http://www.androidauthority.com/purported-galaxy-s4-cases-china-spotted-cebit-2013-video-165972/

That design looks horrendous to be honest. Sharp square edges on a fairly sizeable device does not comfortable holding make.

Actually starts looking more like an LG Optimus .... :(

But worse still, wider and thicker than an S3 ???? Seriously Samsung I hope for your sake those cases are wrong..

Seriously just based on that image and those cases - if all true - means HTC have the only gorgeous looking Android flagship this year.

HOWEVER!! That cases edges do not look as sharp as that photo image --- so I doubt it will look like that first image.

Highly doubt the S4 looks like that. No matter how it looks though, it'll be tough to beat the HTC One, looks wise.

If it looks like this, NAH, PROBABLY NOT.

If it looks like this, I'D SERIOUSLY THINK ABOUT IT.

I don't care for the second design personally. The problem with zero edge bezel is that when you hold the phone your thumbs will keep touching the display if you hold it by the edges.

I suspect given the edges on the case this older render is more likely what it will look like than the other squarer one.

Yeah, something in between your top picture and that sharp cornered one. If it's made to fit those cases, I think it'll look at least better than the S3. Less sharp cornered than the Optimus G or Xperia Z, but not quite as soap bar looking as the S3.

Will look into that. Thanks.

Doesn't the fragmentation bother you guys? Not knowing if you will even get an update, or having to jump through hoops with different rooting mods.

As a general rule, nexus devices being the exception, if you're not happy with the software out of the box, don't get it as you're not guaranteed an update. Getting an update is just gravy.

All I'm getting out of the S4 leaks is that it's more of the same, but with a 1080p resolution... Apple gets slammed for this, but Samsung gets praised, da ****?

Maybe it's because Samsung's smartphone lineup is so much more versatile than Apple's. Samsung has a wide range of phones to cover different sizes and price levels, many of them are current generation, and offer different experiences but still remaining smartphones.

With Apple, there is only one screen size that is of current generation. The smaller option is over a year old, and there's no larger screen size at all.

Also, just taking their phones at face value, the S3 offers so much more packed into it than the iPhone 5 -- in other words, it truly is hard for Samsung to introduce many hardware changes. Apple, on the other hand, intentionally withholds hardware changes (they don't believe wireless charging is worth it, nor screen size options, nor NFC, nor notification lights, nor expandable memory, etc.). Likewise, Samsung doesn't recycle their design for two years, as Apple has been doing, and will likely continue to do with the 5S.
