Dunno is it? Bare in mind 8-9 hours was when I was asleep... Dunno there isn't a usage % like on iphone so don't know

When you go to the battery stats, you can click on "screen" and it will tell you the amount of screen time. I would say 2 hours of music and if you have around 2 hours screen time with 44% is really good.

Oh sorry, so its only been really active got 4-5 hours when your awake. Yeah well in that case that's a big drop certainly. I thought you meant it had been on 13 hours since you woke.

I saw two more galaxy S4s today in white. Had played with a black one in store before and thought it looked generic.

But white ones look nicer IMO. The HTC One still takes the crown in terms of looking absolutely gorgeous in my opinion, but after looking at the white S4s, i thought they looked pretty nice. All screen with minimal bezel. Light and thin as usual coupled with that huge screen makes it a pretty sexy device IMO.

I am sure once a Touchwiz based custom ROM is out that takes away all the bloat, it will be a great device to have. I would hope that samsung makes a 32GB version available though. I had a 32GB S3 and never needed an SD card.
The 32GB versions are available now....

Has anyone used their S4 to make payments? I read about it a while back, that they were baking it in instead of using Google Wallet or any carrier software, but I'm not sure how it works.

Link Here. Any thoughts?

only in the US though I believe. Shame that aren't an option for global users. What happened to the 64GB model I wonder. They constantly listed it as 16/32/64 in marketing material ???

This is a huge blunder in my opinion. They made it sound like all models would be available right away. Now the phone has been out for weeks and up until Friday you could only get the 16GB. Now some stores have the 32GB's but they seem to be sparse. And no word what so ever on the 64's. I was very set on getting a 32, so I waited and I'm glad I did. So much space is taken up right out of the box. But a 32GB with an extra 32GB SD should suffice for me. I hate using SD cards, but I put one in just for backups and for extra room just in case I get some great videos or something like that.

If Apple released their models like that could you imagine the outrage? I remember when the iPhone 4 had a setback for the white models and people acted like it was the end of days. Imagine if the iPhone 5S only came in 16GB for it's first month. I'd stay the hell away from this site haha.

No current screen time is 4 hours with 17% left....so yeah not great maybe it takes time to adjust the battery.

You mean overall time? 19 hours so far

I must admit that I would be quite happy with 4 hours on screen and 19 hours total with a 13% left, In these days I am always close to power. I think it will settle down further and you will get better, Reading your other post though, it seems like you are really enjoying this phone, I wouldn't let a couple of hours spoil it for you my friend. :)

"screen time" on android and "usage" on ios do not represent the same statistic.

For sure love the device... Just put a bunch of TV shows on tonight and the screen is amazing. So,easy too just dropping into the folder.. So easy

Ended up with 5 hours screen time and 20 hours total so not too bad... Woke up at 10am with 91% left and just died so it lasted me all day that's the main thing.

I have had this phone now for over a week and am absolutely delighted.

A couple of days ago I started using Touch wiz again and reset all the preferences on my apps thus having them all installed and not disabled. I didn't find a lot of lag, and TBH, the place where I found it most was when opening the gallery, gotta admit, its there, not a deal breaker and not worth the hair pulling and wringing of hands that some seem to suffer, it is a slight lag but nothing that would cause me worry. Other than that, it seems quite smooth to me. IMHO, the lag is overplayed.

I find that I like Nova prime, it just seems to be made for this phone and have reinstalled it. Battery on mine lasts me really well, ATM I have 41% remaining after taking it of charge 23h 28m 41s ago with an on screen time of 2h 49m, my screen is on full and all the bells and whistles are active, blue tooth etc.

I think it feels quite nice in the hand and has a premium feel, it doesn't bend or creak and find that I prefer it to the S3 (I hve owned one), IMHO, the build quality has been taken up a notch.

I do think that the screen is not the best in the business when viewed outside in sunlight, but for me it is liveable, inside (Where most of my use is) though, the screen is gorgeous, I like it, but others that dislike saturated colours may not like it as much.

I enjoy this phone better than any of the phones I have had previously owned. In fact, I love this phone.:)

Yep as I echoed myself, the lag is there (but didnt want to over-play it) because it is more a case of micro-stutters than 'massive lag'... I imagine due to the critism Samsung has gotten on this issue in the press/reviews that they will continue to patch out the stutter lag from it and in a few updates time it won't be present at all.

It is a fine phone indeed :) Had my HTC one not had been replaced (ie. they issued me a refund instead at the time) I would have kept it and been happy. Only faced with the choice of both phones in my hands did I choose the one over it, but my god it was head-wrecking decision because I really did like the S4 hardware and camera features.

What camera features does the S4 have that the One doesn't through Zoe?

The "floating head thing".....anything else?

I mean, you can do the multiple pics to create a scene thing on the One, you can do the removal of an unwanted person or object on the One. What am I missing?

I agree, I found your first impressions to be spot on, had I not read them first before I got the phone I may have missed the slight lag, but to pretend it is not there would not be a true representation of my experience, with Nova Prime installed I don't notice it, the phone rarely stutters and seems really smooth.

I picked the S4 over the HTC One simply because I had used an S3 and had, had a good experience with it, I have never used an HTC, and only able to have a small play so, used the experience of "better the devil you know" to finalise my choice. :)

The 9 million extra pixels are the biggest feature ;) tbh

But yeah I love HTC Zoe's and dig HTC Share too.

If we could combine the S4's camera and HTC's Zoe and share I'd be in Nirvana :)

I am loving the battery on this phone! It almost seems to improve over time. Like it is learning my habits and saving where it can. So here are my results for the day. Lots of maps and about 3 hours of music, 35 emails and about 20 texts.

There was an update recently that pretty much removes the lag from the UI.
It will be very interesting to see what WWDC has to offer this year. I can't wait until Apple decides to release a 4.5 to 5 inch phone. Maybe not this year for the IP5s but maybe next year with the iPhone 6.

I'll go Best Buy Kiosk this weekend and see if there is any improvements to UI to handle lag.

Apple is going to need to take some big steps with the next few versions of iOS before they can do a big screen.

iOS 6 on a 4.5" device is a waste. The software just would not take advantage of what a bigger screen has to offer.
