It’s funny as I think Samsung are shocked how much the sales of the edge are taking off the S6. Maybe they didn’t expect people to pay the extra amount they were charging?

OMG just ordered a black 64gb Edge!

Will have 24 hours to decide whether to keep it.

How are people getting on with it?

More reason than ever they will carry over these premium bits to the Note line.

Grand. Just got the official Samsung fabric flip case for the edge today. Feels very nice.

The case looks lovely.

Will the Google Now Launcher limit the Edge functionality?

I'd give TouchWiz a go again first but I'm very used to the Google Launcher.

No. You get edge functionality regardless of which launcher you use.

The only thing you lose is some widgets such as the new weather/clock one.

........And by they way they dont have Apple's global network of own stores to repair the inevitable breakable of the glass back.

Saw my first one in the flesh two days ago as a guy I was working with had just purchased one. I’ll ignore his early reviews, (all good), as I think he’s still in his honeymoon period.
What you have said here though would worry me. I’m pretty sure I can’t take it somewhere and get an on the spot replacement like I can at an Apple store?
That said my observations/thoughts so far;
1. Cosmetics - Samsung win hands down, to my eyes, the iP6 is one seriously ugly phone. That was what made me remain with the 5S.
2. Key features - Apple win hands down, accurate TouchID, integration with my Mac, (local Contacts, Calendars and other sync capabilities).
3. Battery - don’t know.
4. Secondary features - Samsung win, iOS is very restrictive.
5. Security - don’t know, I liken this to the Windows/Mac scenario. Everybody says that iOS is safer and that I’ll be subject to malware and viruses. I run Windows too without anti virus and I’ve been fine, why should I be any different with Android, I’m pretty sensible with what I download?
6. Other - Samsung win. I mean here that I’m too familiar with iOS now, (and it’s new ugly flat interface). I want a change, even if that change is an all new iOS. Also I’m wondering about in Car intergration. How well does it work with Comand?
7. The iOS App Store - Apple win, the iTunes store is far more diverse, (I think).

1) Agree, the Edge is just beautiful
2) The fingerprint scanner is supposed to be v accurate on the Edge. Obviously the iPhone will interact with a Mac better.
3) Battery don't know about Samsung yet, but the iPhone 6 is much better than the 5, from all I've heard.
4) Yep Android you can pretty much do what you like.
5) You have to be a complete novice/idiot to get a virus on any phone.
6) iOS and Android 5.1 are both great, I wish I could pick & choose the best bits!
7) Google Play Store is excellent now, very little difference between them. Who has time to trawl through all 1 billion apps or whatever?? As long as they both get the major selections right.

Definitely stay with the Mac, for my phone however it’s not looking that rosy for Apple bottom line.

Well good news, I got my phone replaced because of the defect. Bad news, it's a brand new Black instead of White because of the lack of stock. Oh well, at least they took care of me.

That case is GORGEOUS. I may have to get one for myself.
It is really smart and has a great feel in the hand. Peace of mind without killing the aesthetics of a device.

Much like the black S6e it likewise looks blue in the daylight too.

Hmm. Looks great. Don't suppose they are availalbe in green!
I had to import it from Poland ironically. But they had silver, black, gold and white.

Just checked they do Green. Search Amazon for S6 edge fabric flip case

:) Sorted ... Now you just need your phone.

Ugh, i hate the Google launcher! It needs an upgrade so bad.
I wish they would give it notification badges at the very least.

Battery life continues to impress me.
Light usage only 4 hours SOT.
One day 11 hours 45 minutes since last charge.

I don't know how any of you are not experiencing lag.

My s6 definitely lags and gets hung up. The keyboard is particularly bad.

I dont know why im replying in here. I have the standard S6 and i dont have lag. I dont know how it would be different. Maybe you consider lag a millisecond before anything happens? I dont know. It differs for some. I also dont use the TW launcher.

No lag here on my S6e. Hate the samsung keyboard. I like Swiftkey and get better predictive typing through its built in integration with other apps so it is pretty darn good. The battery life has been stellar for me.

I definitely don't nit pick that badly. But there is some serious lag sometimes. When toggling things in the settings there can be lag. The worse culprit is the keyboard though. The lag actually makes even the google keyboard behave oddly. Like thinking I'm long pressing on a key when I've only just tapped it. This causes all sorts of mayhem when I'm trying to thumb tap quickly. And sometimes backspacing lags too. What's up with that.

I really wish none of this was true.

Sadly the Google keyboard lags too where it doesn't on my one plus. Read my above response.

I think its touchwiz. :(

The Google keyboard is my #1. Better than Swiftkey for me. I like Kii better as well. I tried the SS keyboard for a day, got the Google keyboard back from the Playstore.

I'm not a fan of swift key. I think its ugly and their gesture typing is atrocious (when trying to swipe "too" it almost never ever gets it and always gives me "to" instead. At least with the google keyboard it'll suggest to or too for you to pick from on the suggestion bar. Swiftkey just automatically picks "to" for you. Ughhh). Great for thumb taping though.

I don't know guys. You all know I wanted to like this device. The reality is that its not up to snuff. The under the hood lag that affects the keyboard and other things... It's gonna bother me forever.

I'm on google now launcher BTW.
