I have the Galaxy S6 Edge 64GB Black. It definitely has advantages like the camera is awesome, root and its nice having a file system. I know the android guys get mad when you say this but its not a replacement for my iPhone 6+. The reasons are for one the screen just seems small, the battery life is no comparison (iPhone 6+ blows it away), and at times (yes even with 8 cores) it can lag. I need to capture a photo quickly and the camera app locked up and ended up taking a picture of the ground. The edge thing seems cool but I noticed that when the "edge" is on the entire screen was on thats got to be a battery killer. The device feels great in the hand. One thing I never liked about android is how all the icons look different, some are round, some are square, some are square with round corners, I wish they looked more uniform. In the end my iPhone is my go to phone. Thats just me and this is all just opinion...

you can change the icons on android... get an icon pack or a launcher. also my device doesn't lag at all.

Lag is possible on iPhones, so it's not like a phone will be 100% perfect. For Touchwiz, this is the best iteration ever.

I am a huge fan of this phone. And I've hated Samsung devices and Android in the past. It blows away the iPhone 6 in both specs and user experience. The fingerprint scanner works really well (as well as my iPhone 5S). I am.loving this thing. Super fast, and Chrome isn't constantly reloading my browser tabs like Safari on iOS. Split screen multitasking is very handy for my research purposes (browser and study app open side by side), really couldn't be more pleased.

I love this phone, it reminds me of one of the best looking phones ever the iPhone 4S. The only issue I'm having is the phone gets a little warm sometimes.

Nova launcher. Use lollipop icon in menu.

Finally got my Gold S6 Edge 64GB as well. And nice gesture from Samsung - package included a £30 voucher.

As for icons, I think since the S3 I am using Phoney icons and I like simplistic desktops - even my PC got no icons ..

Here the dark phoney icons on my S6 Edge:

Anyone know how to remove notifications from the lockscreen ?

Beautiful pics!

I may test it out after I have had a couple months on the Nexus 6 for my next Android toy but TW will forever be the garlic to my vampire. :)

LOL......can you build up a tolerance? You could use Nova and just use it in the dark? :)

EH, I dont care about a logo. Im covering it with a case anyways....with no hole cut out whether it is a Apple, a Pear, a Walnut, or whatever cool logo is out there. Protection from cracking the glass back is priority #1. Everyone knows you have an iPhone without that hole. Now if it lit up or changed colors or functioned as a black light or something cool, ....then i can see it.

Haha, if it functioned as a black light I'd be first in line for it, sigh I'm not a teenager anymore.

White or black?

So......i actually have 2 Galaxy S6 Edges 64GBs. Ordered the White thinking i would hate how the black would be a fingerprint magnet. But also pre ordered the black from BB just to make sure I would get one on launch day. yes...i have issues. At first I could decide which to keep. But the black really doesn't collect fingerprints as much as I thought it would. Plus I have a black Dbrand skin coming for it so it won't matter.
But that black is just amazing with the dark color and aluminum. especially when the screen is off!
Gonna sell the white....already have offers for what i paid for it!

Surprised. But like I say I was apprehensive about getting black myself and was genuinely pleasantly surprised too. Its much nicer black than I thought it would be :)

It is nice(black) but it is a finger smudge magnet. The one in the store was loaded with them.

LOL, ....Yep.

I got a white one(standard GS6). Im just tired of black phones and really liked my white GS3. I have trouble at times finding my black Nexus 5 when on a dark surface.

That black one looks very nice.

Not a fan of white phones as they look cheap to me for some reason.

I say this after buying a white Nexus 6 but the front is all black. I can live with that. :D

I just hate how the sensors are so noticeable on the white.

I was originally thinking about going with the white model for the same reason: fingerprints. But every time I went to Best Buy to play with the phone, I always gravitated toward the sapphire black model. In the end I caved today and bought the phone... in black. Yeah it shows fingerprints, but the black looks SO slick.

I have a Dbrand skin coming for it so it will not show the fingerprints so much......:)

Having played with mine for a day now I must say - gorgeous .. But man Gold is bad for fingerprints.

Anyway - there are three things which really bother me, one of them might be due to 5.0.2 TW, but here we go

  • Edge Display is great - but using the seek function in Google Play is not going to happen if you need to seek all the way to the end of beginning. You probably need a stylus for that
  • Love the night clock - but as someone else here mentioned - the whole display is switched on and not just the edge. By having the clock on from 8pm onwards and turning it off at 6am, I lost 10% of battery life. A shame. Not a big issue as I can always leave the phone connected over night, but a bit rubbish none the less. Plus the Samsung voucher sent by Samsung with the phone just about covers a wireless charging pad.
  • Now my TW issue: On my old Note 3, running KitKat, the DND Function either had an option or by default also turned off the battery charging light. Small thing, but something I noticed so far

Love it though.

My next phone will probably either be a Gold Edge or a leather G4.

Waiting on LG prices.
