Guys, is there a way to go back to the old Google search? That color scheme, it's like kindergarten. Why did they have to implement it in the widget as well?

Well since the threads are joined now ( feel it is a mistake) which phone do you have? Have you tried the Dark Material theme? It might change the widget colors for you.

I don't think it's relevant what phone I have. This is Google's new update. Right?

Just tried on my Edge and I don't have the new look regardless of what theme I apply. Maybe I don't have the newest Google update ?

They're the same on mine - clearly they haven't pushed the update to Google search here yet

And when they do, I don't want that horrible look on the search bar either. I imagine there will be a bit of a backlash to that.

I wonder if your Google apps were just updated? Do you have auto updates turned on?
Oh...it might be stock launcher versus Nova too.
Maybe MRU is using Nova and your are running Google Now?

I don't have auto-update on. I manually update my apps. I'm on stock launcher.

I decided this morning that I'm going to get the Edge+, because I feel I can't go wrong with it. I can get it for £599, which is pretty good value compared to the £749 in the Samsung store. This is my first Android device, and I'm looking forward to have all the extra features and flexibility.

Yeah, I just checked that website, and realised that they had the Note 5 there . What's that all about?

They are based in HongKong but everything ships from within the EU. I bought my Note 5 from them for €650 including courier delivery - considering it can't be bought here - it was a great deal. The Australia / Hongkong Asia models even come with the exact same power supply plug as UK/Ireland too making it very handy place to get handsets. :)

That sort of makes sense. I've always been feeling jealous of not having the Note 5 here, but now I know that I can get it for £100 cheaper than the Edge+...I don't think I want to. I don't think that the S Pen will be very useful for me, that's one thing, but I was never for spending the extra £100 for the Edge. I don't really know why I'm so keen on doing so now.
I'm probably still getting the Edge+, because I can, and because my heart tells me to.

So I got my Edge+ the other day and so far I like it but I am having a little bit of dilemma on if I want to keep it or not. One of the biggest problems that I hear about the Edge series is that there are hardly any cases out for it and I don't want to break the screen, and second with the Note being 100 less for the same functionality of the Edge, I am seriously debating it.

I'm trying to get this case: http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/EF-925KSWBCPIO

It isn't out yet though. The ones on this page are pretty cool: http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories

Whatever you do, do not get the Samsung shiny see through opaque style case. There are many and I mean lots of reports of it scratching the screen.

I bought the Samsung "fabric flip case" for my Edge, it offers decent protection and looks good.

Ok... I saved a backorder for the Kate Spade leather one. Should make the phone grippier.
