Actually they would be cool, but I imagine they'll never see availability outside of unlocked off contract phones bought directly from Samsung.

Is it me or does Samsung sound like they're having a bit more fun about all this?

Something about their whole game this time around feels better, whether it be because they seem more focused, or more confident, or whatever. They just feel more secure, like they're comfortable and feel good about their product line.

I like it. Makes me want the S6 even more.

Cannot wait to get this phone. Preordering on April 1 # And holy hell these look awesome. I wouldn't be mad if they do the same thing next Summer (with the S7 and S7 edge) when the new power rangers movie drops # lol

Sounds like it'll be pretty hard to get one: http://www.androidauthority.com/curved-edge-galaxy-s6-cost-yield-594291/

A report from Taiwanese website TechNews claims Samsung is facing issues with the curved glass covering the Galaxy S6 Edge, including low yield rates, lengthy fabrication processes, and high costs.

Personally, I'm glad my interest in these devices have shifted from the Edge to the regular S6.

Naturally, the one Samsung device I'm looking at getting has yield issues.....

Maybe my decision between the S6 Edge and the Note 5 will be made for me....

Pricier to get and possible shortages for the displays which makes it even harder to buy.

The People Edge feature is cool although basic and so is the Note Edge's carryover of Information Stream. I am a gesture swipe fan all the way and this S6 edge is the perfect phone built for gesture swipes and Material Design with the pull-in leftside shortcut. I always felt gesture swipes, double tap shortcuts, and pull-in menus from the sides of the screen is the future on how we will navigate with our phones. BB10 sorta gave us a glimpse of it. Samsung really do have amazing foresight.

S6 edge = Perfect device for Material Design, Lazy Swipe, and All In One Gestures app.

Clearly Barney bro. Serioulsy, some of you people are way too uptight around here.
Not uptight, just don't want a $699 priced handset modelled after terrible actors dressed in pastel coloured latex, rubber and plastic who spent most of their time fingering each other special rings ;)

If I wanted that I'd get one modelled after 50 shades of grey ;)

Besides its more a question of taste; of all the TV shows of the past "Thundercats", "He-man", "Transformers", "Jason & the wheelies", "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles"; etc... you selected "Power-Rangers" possibly the worst ever... That being said - the New dark brooding Power-Rangers fan movie was pretty cool :) ;)

Yeah I thought the same ... what next ? Teletubbies? Barney?

I guess if you are 14-16 your excited for a Power Rangers movie and phone themes. Maybe he was joking , lol. I thought the Power Rangers were like 10-15 years ago.

Anyways, id have to see them in person. I do like the green and white but sometimes the colors are different in pics so id have to see the green but with them having glass on the back, ..which i dont care for, ill have a case on it anyways.

My biggest issues with the S6 series isn't really about losing those three key features. I have been accustomed to not having a removable battery and SD slot for 5-7 years now or at least when I started using iPhone. My last daily drivers that offered both were the Nokia N82 in 2008, Samsung Focus in Nov 2011-Apr 2012, and my Nexus One from Oct 2011 until July 2014. My biggest issues is not the omissions themselves. It is more of the possibility that Samsung may never bring it back as they are the last relevant company to bring them for their flagships.

But Samsung listened and is willing to change now with Project Zero. They should get major props. I see many companies come and go. I see their downfall. Atari and SEGA downfall in hardware consoles. Motorola, Nokia, BlackBerry, and Palm. Alot of them weren't willing to change and if they did change, it was too late. Samsung is listening to the critics to improve in areas they needed to work on. They answered with better design, materials used, and removing bloat from TouchWiz. Internally, the specs were always there. Same with features. If Samsung wasn't willing to revamp their image sooner and erase that cheap plastic stigma about them, it might end up being too late and they would've fell just as fast as Nokia, Motorola, and BlackBerry from the top spot to out of the top 10.

23M views for a 2.5 min intro video on YouTube. Samsung is still a brand that will refuse to go away. You have to fail many times in order to succeed and that's what Samsung did. Nobody has a perfect financial record in business. Not even Apple during the 1990's. Everyone faces adversity in life. Struggle. It is how you react from it and make the situation positive is what makes you who you are today.

I have never been a Samsung fan since I bought my first product from them (DVD-R player) back in 2006 but I was always aware of their potential for greatness. They did alot of things right but it was a couple negative things that always stuck out for critics to complain about. I never really hated Samsung like I don't really hate Apple. But watching myself complimenting them is like watching a liberal compliment Sarah Palin's political views and knowledge.

S6 EDGE IS "THE ONE" FOR 2015. I said it before in a previous post, the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge is the best smartphone since the HTC One M7. And S6 edge will likely won't be plagued with a bad rear camera or average battery life like the best smartphone of 2013 did. Their cameras have been terrific during the past couple years and so is battery efficiency. OnePlus One might have been "THE ONE" with the best value and favorite for TechnoBuffalo. But it also suffered from a mediocre display which Samsung excels in. Throw in wireless charging and fast charging that the M9 lacks, and it is a no-brainer. Samsung is looking to regain their top spot they lost to Apple thanks to PROJECT ZERO. From zero to hero.

I'm sure it'll totally that horrible just like the rumored Avengers themed GS6 and S6 edge all look horrible. Oh wait, actually they look cool. And based on the feedback from the pic that's floating around, people would be all over it. LOL look a multi colored GS7 to coincide with the power rangers movie that's dropping next summer would not be the worst thing. Especially if it's designed like the rumored Avengers themed S6 and S6 edge. I loved Thundercats too # And Voltron. Haven't seen the new fan movie tho. Tbh, last season of power rangers that I watched was when they went to space and that was God knows how long ago.

Reason I like black variant is because of the SAMOLED display as using a plain black wallpaper will make it look like the foreground is floating. But of course it will show the most fingerprint marks. White does the opposite by hiding it better.

That EMERALD GREEN looks really good and I have never been into green except the dollars in my wallet and green apple flavored candy like Sour Powers. I never owned a green colored phone before. Green and gold look pretty good to me.

Torn between black or something different in emerald green. Kudos to Samsung for making emerald green look good on a smartphone!

And here is one overlooked thing Samsung did with the S6 series. They decide to go in-house with their SoC! On one hand, this might create more fragmentation as Qualcomm has sorta become the de facto SoC maker for most flagship OEM's. On the other hand, more competition, less monopoly for prices to go down. Let's be real but top Qualcomm Snapdragons are pricey with only MediaTek as the cheaper alternative for poorer countries and not much in-between. Samsung built this from the ground up amd mainly in-house. I say most of the important components are built by Samsung.

A true music artists WRITES THEIR OWN SONGS! Plays their own instruments. Samsung is doing it mostly by themselves here as well. A Samsung product made mostly by Samsung parts. That's the one advantage Samsung has over other companies. They build it themselves which gives them more control on hardware and money savings.
