Color shifting might bother some esp with white background, it may or may not bother me. The good news is Erica Griffin used SwiftKey and I thought it could affect typing with the edges. It doesn't.

Thank you for posting that video. It made it very obvious to me that I'd prefer the non-edge model.

Just saw the white GS6 and blue GS6 Edge. Absolutely stunning in person. Feels so good in the hand.. As nice as the GS6 is, the Edge, hands down is the looker. Swiping in from the side never felt so smooth. I won't be leaving the Note line, and I'm now more excited than ever about the Note 5.

Blue s6 edge?

I'm too impatient. The S6 Edge will hold me over until the Note 5 release.

I am actually glad Samsung stopped relying on Qualcomm this year. Alot of haters will say Samsung copied this or that. But alot of those arguments is superficial. The real innovation comes from within. I compare SoC makers to like songwriters vs the performers who actually perform the song. They are the brains behind it all. The silicon chips tucked inside are really the heart and mind on what powers our smartphones.

Last year, I already was aware about the Snapdragon 810 and the whole 64-bit processor, a first for Android. I was looking forward to it only to feel disappointed. I feel they brought out a dud. It seems Qualcomm felt whatever SoC they will release whether 805, 808, 810, etc that OEM's will use them no matter what. Samsung went a different direction with it. Now many 2015 phones from HTC, LG, Sony, several Chinese makers may suffer from carrying an SoC that wasn't really worth waiting for while the Exynos 7420 is leapfrogging past the 'dragons already.

Qualcomm disappointed me with the 810.
HTC disappointed me with the M9.
Samsung impressed me both internally and externally w/ Exynos 7 & S6e.

Gold platinum looking better by the day...

Eh, both the Exynos and 810 are using big.Little core designs. Qualcomm won't have their custom cores ready till next year, or at least that is what I am hearing...

Man I want this phone

The more I see reviews on this phone the more my mind is made up.

Emerald Edge for me please! The design of the edge along with the stellar speed and camera sells it for me.

Just hope the pricing is ok.

Yep that's the one I want too. A 64gb emerald S6 Edge. Just hope it is available here and not so scarily expensive that it become unjustifiably so.

Both version clearly feel and look premium. But too me, the Edge represents what the future form factors will look like. It simply looks like a future phone. I really hope they bring the dual edge to the Note line. The Roger's rep said most people looking at the phones were asking about the pricing on the Edge.

Yep it's the one people desire and the S6 is the one people will end up with ....

I got to handle the Edge today. Gorgeous device. The screen is really captivating and strangely immersive. This will be a real winner. The bezel-less ness is ridiculous. Feels like you're staring and using nothing but screen.

What colour edge was it?

Still fully expect s6 to sell far more than the edge variant based on price alone - yet to me it holds no interest sadly.

Lucky you! What were your impressions of the white versus the darker color and the edge to edge screen?

Actually, my post is unintentionally a little misleading. I only got to see the white on display behind glass. It looked very nice, indeed. Typical white phone.

Whereas the blue I handled.

As for the Edge screen, I said it in the other thread best:

The screen is a thing of beauty. The dual-edge display is subtle, but it also cannot be ignored. In a weird way, it immerses you into what's happening on your screen. And yes, slide-out menus are easier to do because of it. I don't know how else to explain it; there's just more to reach for on the screen, I guess both literally and figuratively. It feels VERY good.

The bezel-less sides are insane. It completely makes you ignore the top/bottom bezels because the screen is just so captivating. It feels like you're operating and staring at nothing but screen. Very unique and special feeling.

Nice. I can't wait to get my hands on one. Did you notice any color bleed from the dark color of the phone bleed onto the screen because of the curve?

I played with the S6 Edge in store and while I appreciated the beauty of the Edge's screen. I found issues in the ergonomics, the regular S6 is vastly more comfortable to hold in hand than the S6 Edge.

The S6 Edge tapers down on the sides and leaves you with a thin aluminum band running around the phone, the band felt quite sharp in my hands and it didn't give you sense of confidence in your ability to grip the device.

The regular S6 has a much wider aluminum band which fits in your hand a lot better and gives you this solid feel in the hand. The regular S6 also had glass which flows into the aluminum band, similar to the iPhone 6 and this adds to the premium feel.

I'm going to play the S6 Edge a bit more and see if my opinion changes but at the moment, I'm leaning more towards the regular S6.

Did not notice but also wasn't paying so much attention to that.

The Edge goes beyond bezel-less. It's just damn cool.

I would agree with this. The regular S6 felt better in my hand, too. The frame is amazing feeling.
