The seller was probably the same guy I talked to. Hhe had it listed at $500 and I asked for the imei, when I looked it up it didnt list any phone model but just said it was clean. These clones must look pretty realistic, Im surprised there is one out already for the gs6

my galaxy s6 64gb ... just won't auto rotate the screen when using any app... the default camera app doesn't rotate either... i don't have a third party launcher installed...

i googled this problem and a lot of people have it... samsung doesn't know whats the cause of it...

*sigh*

edit: just turned off my phone completely... waited about 2 min... turned it back on... it works again...

wtf?

Yep that's a known defect... on top of a growing list. The only cure I've seen is to exchange your device.

Its an issue with gyrometre in some devices. There are a number of threads on xda.

Welp just sold the 6+ on Swappa and will be shipping out in a little while. Sad to see it go but happy to officially be rocking with the S6.

Also got my unlock code from AT&T yesterday evening..

Nice! That was fast on the unlock code! I have heard sometimes it can take a while.

Yeah I heard the same thing as well but I was able to get it in a few hours! Now the hard part is finding someone that has a non-AT&T sim card..It doesn't help that I work for AT&T and everyone in the office has AT&T

Well, I've decided to give my S6 another shot today... I don't have any of the bad issues others have reported aside from just not getting good battery life. Off charger at 6:01 AM. Currently at 80% at 9:04AM with normal usage.

how many days have you had your S6? So you have already been through a couple of charge cycles?

Wow....not normal at all. What carrier is it on? What does the battery stats say?
Mine has been off the charger for little over 2 hours and is at 98% . Something is not right. Might try a factory reset and start over and if that didn't fix then get a replacement.

Yea this is basically my first real charge all the way up and im at 73% when it was unplugged at 7:40 with SOT at 49m and Voice calls only 17m. I need some more charge cycles for sure.

That's similar to my battery usage & result.

How much screen on time is in that ? If theres 30-50mins SOT then that result wouldn't be too shocking depending on all the other factors (any calls made etc...)

Please don't say that. I just got the device yesterday so hopefully it will get better with a few charge cycles. Can you even make it through the day with that usage?!

I can get a full day with around 3-4hrs SOT max
I can get two days with around 90mins-2hrs SOT max

At no point have I been able to get over 4hrs 10 mins with the device at all.

Well just have to see what I get after a few charge cycles.

I already did a factory reset :( I'm on Verizon.

I bought it on launch day so I've had it almost 3 weeks.

I would take it back to a Verizon store and ask for a replacement. It should not be draining your battery like that. I am on Verizon as well and mine does not drain like that.

Unfortunately, I got mine from Best Buy and their return policy is 14 days. So I have to work through Samsung now.

Are you sure about that? Have you called Verizon customer service?
I think returning because you changed your mind is 14 days. But returning because of a defect should be different. I would call both BB and Verizon customer service (or stop by a store) and explain that your phone is defective because of the huge battery drain. Explain that it is defective. Explain that you have done extensive homework from online forums and your battery life is not normal and you have a defective unit. I think they will replace it for you.

4 sot is great, I use my phone a ton and get 4-5 hours. I couldnt imagine being disappointed in that considering how much I use my phone. It is funny how people perceive things differently
