4 sot is great, I use my phone a ton and get 4-5 hours. I couldnt imagine being disappointed in that considering how much I use my phone. It is funny how people perceive things differently
Yeah it is...i think most are comparing the battery life to a phablet like N4 or N6 or 6+. Those phones will get 6 hours SOT because they are bigger phones with bigger batteries. I am very happy getting 4 or more hours SOT on my S6.

Just the Edge? Would be nice if both get it. That would be a very quick update for a new device. If that is true, T-Mobile can make a better impression on themselves by getting updates out faster than the others.
Yeah I'm reading the posters thread on XDA and I'm not convinced. Samsung rolling out 5.1.1 before Google ? How likely is that.

Also user claims they had rooted their device and yet then posted a video and their Knox counter isn't tripped.

Something fishy indeed.

What about apps like "fast reboot" ? They aren't task killers. Just seems to simulate a soft reset so memory gets refreshed.

These types of apps any good?

I'm am not sure about that app but I can tell you greenify works. It keeps whatever particular apps you choose from running in the background if you don't want them to. I've only used it in rooted mode but from what I understand unrooted mode works pretty well.

Certain apps can get carried away and this app lets you keep them installed without suffering the consequences :p

Got a 30% off coupon code for registering my device with Samsung. Cool. I go to use it, code is invalid. Not cool. Chat with Samsung support agent, and get absolutely no help at all. The guy was completely clueless, slow to respond, and useless.

Samsung customer service... super duper not cool. This is the one area that nobody can touch apple. Not even close.

Yep, Apple support is very good. I am actually amazed that they will give you a new phone when it gets broke by your own fault.

yeah still going through the paces so far as with the battery life. I think I would get a better reading on actual day to day use if I would put it down and quit messing with it lol.

I wonder about that too, but isn't that what we are supposed to do with it?

What display mode do you guys keep your S6 on? I was on adaptive by default and changed mine to cinema mode and I seem to like the color on that setting.

Normally on all my other Samsung devices I use basic mode however on my edge it has a yellow cast on basic so I leave it on adaptive.

AMOLED Cinema for me.

AMOLED Photo and Basic make whites a little too gray for me. And I fear using Adaptive Display because of battery life and also I find it distracting when it "adapts" and changes colors whenever I navigate or go from app to app.
